This is a review of L'oreal's pealr perfect re-lighting whitening facial foam which I have been using recently.
This is a 100g tube of facial foam which helps cleanse skin from impurities. I usually use a cream cleanser with cotton wool to remove make up but was finding that my skin felt dirty so I thought I'd move on to a 'wet' cleanser that you use with water to see if it made any difference to my skin.
This product not only cleanses skin but claims to brighten up and whiten skin and includes a melanin-block and vitamin c. It instantly removes makeup, cleanses skin thoroughly and eliminates all impurities which contributes to a complete whitening effectiveness. Brightening the complexion day after day and helps to clear off excess dead cells from the skin's surface for a brighter and more luminous skin.
I find a large sized pea blob is enough to massage into my skin and once water is added you get a satisfactory amount of lather. Clearly, any product that removes dead skin cells will add to a brightened look with your skin as the new cells are revealed beneath. I wanted to try this before resorting to a more harsh facial exfoliant although I do use these occasionally. One I had rinsed with water I pat my face dry with a clean towel taking care not to rub at my face (although this is tempting when you are tired!).
I have a few darker patches of skin that were made worse in my 2010 pregnancy. Now I am pg again I have found the skin is darkening once again so when I saw this product promised a melanin block and whitening properties I thought I'd give it a go. Clearly, any product that removes dead skin cells will add to a brightened look with your skin as the new cells are revealed beneath.
Price and availability
I bought a couple of tubes of this L'oreal Peal Perfect when I spotted them at my local 99p shop. There were only four tubes left on the shelf anyway which always indicates a popular line in my mind! I have also seen it available online priced quite cheaply on ebay. L'oreal also make a day (with spf) and night cream in the same Pearl Perfect range which I would consider buying in the future to see if they make a difference to my skin.
I liked using this product and still have plenty left to use. It made a change from the cotton wool cleansing and seemed to make my skin clean. As for brightness of the skin, it looks a little better but I wouldn't say it was a vast improvement and it hasn't made me go "wow!" but I didn't think it was bad value for money either.
