WHAT IS IT?
L'Oreal have jumped on the bandwagon and created a gel that will help you to slim down problem areas and also reduces cellulite.
IS IT ANY GOOD?
In a word, no. I am always skeptical of these types of products as I am a firm believer in diet and exercise if you want to change the shape and contours of your body. I trialled this product for six months on behalf of a magazine I work for and was unimpressed with it, although I am happy with my body I have retained some weight from my last pregnancy and a previous sedentary job left me with small patches of cellulite on the backs of my thighs.
The gel is extremely cold to apply and it is impossible to warm up as this will cause it to thin down to almost a water consistency. It smells quite medicinal, it actually reminds me of a very weak hair dye smell and this does linger around you for a while after application so be careful to time it for when you have some time to yourself.
The gel is very slightly moisturising, but not as much as a standard body lotion and it also leaves an unpleasant sticky sensation on my skin after using it. On the plus side it does absorb quite quickly with a minimum of rubbing, the stickiness prevents me from being able to wear certain clothes after applying it though.
I didn't use this as a moisturiser as I already have a bathroom packed with those, so the fact that it didn't make an impact on my cellulite means this product is a fail. After six months of use there was absolutely no difference in my tone or feel of my skin so as far as I'm concerned the gel does not live up to its claims, or even it's name.
CONSUMER INTEREST INFORMATION
A 150ml tube costs £10. This is very expensive for a product that doesn't work so I cannot recommend it at all.

Im afraid this might be quite a short review!
I used this product for weeks and it did nothing. The only difference I found was that the skin was perhaps a little bit more moisturised with this than without.
When this first come on the market I was keen to try it. Don't get me wrong, I didn't for one minute expect it to make me look like a supermodel overnight, but I was hoping for a little bit of help.
This costs around £12 in most of the shops I have been in, which is a considerable amount. I dont mind paying for cosmetics and toiletries that work and will often pay a bit more for better qaulity, but this really didn't do anything.
I dont have a huge problem with cellulite, but like most women I am always looking for ways to improve that area.
The gel is very cold to apply, so not great in the winter! It doesnt have a very strong smell and goes on farily easily. It did sink into my skin quite quickly but it did sometimes leave a slightly sticky residue, which wasn't great when I was going to bed.
