As a rule I don't tend to use cleansing wipes as I think they are expensive and no where near as good as cleansing lotions. However I do like to take a pack when I travel as they are convenient and take up less room in my luggage. I am not really brand loyal but do like L'Oreal products. Shopping in Asda I spotted a pack of L'Oreal triple active balance wipes for just £2 and decided to buy a pack to take with me on our half term break.
The cleansing wipes come in a white plastic packet with a pull back flap top open. The wipes are easy enough to remove one at a time without several coming out at once as with some other brands I have tried. However the flap is difficult to reseal securely allowing the wipes to dry out if you are not careful.
Each wipe is a decent size and thick enough not to tear when used. The wipes are slightly perfumed, although didn't cause any irritation to my sensitive skin. The wipes are alcohol free and are enriched with something called hydra claryl. I have dry skin and although I read that these wipes are especially suited for greasy or combination skin, they didn't dry my skin. The wipes are designed to remove all make up and here they performed really well, removing all traces of my foundation and mascara with little effort.
I have found that one or two wipes are enough to remove all make up and grime from my face, so think these wipes are really good value for money at £2 a pack of 25 wipes! I have found that some wipes can leave my skin with a greasy look, but these left no greasy residue and neither did they feel sticky. After use my skin felt clean, smooth and hydrated. I always use a moisturiser after cleansing and this certainly helps!
L'Oreal makes several different types of cleansing wipes so there should be one to suit all skin types. They usually retail for around the £4 mark so watch for offers!
I like to have these handy pack of wipes in my handybag when I'm out and about as they are convenient to carry and handy to use for many things, from removing make-up if you have to stay over at a friends house to just freshening up your face on an hot day.
I paid £3.00 for this pack at the Savers shop and thought I'd got a good deal as further up the road at Superdrug these would have cost me £5
The pack is a stay fresh pack with a resealable flap on the front, which you peel back to get one of the wipes out and seal again when you have got one, this keeps the wipes moist for the next time you use them. These are for normal and combination skin and my skin is combination skin so I find these are good for me and also I have sensative skin so I have to be careful which products I use on it so that I don't come out in a rash or blotches of redness.
This has been alright for me to use and I will buy them again.
The wipes are great for make-up removal and one wipe is enough to take off eye make-up and lipstick without having to use any more. Just wipe across the eye lids and lips to remove the make up and you can see that it has been left on the wipe.
I also use these when I'm in the car on a hot day as there's nothing worse than jumping in a hot car that has been sat in the sun as personally this can bring on a hot flush for me, so having these in my bag or glove compartment is a saviour for me on days that are hot.
I also use them for freshening up and use them on my hands and face just to cool down as they are so handy to use it's easy to grab a wipe and clense the skin. They are enriched with vitamin E which is really good for the skin and have UV filters to protect the skin from drying out in the sun.
They aren't too wet just a little damp and cleanse and refreshen the skin so that after using one you feel clean and your skin feels soft and like it can breath again.
I'm happy to recommend them to you.
I paid £5 for two packs of these L'Oreal Triple Active Balance Cleansing Wipes and they have proven to be a good purchase as these are probably the best wipes I have come across so far. There are 25 wipes in each packet so they are not the cheapest on the market by a long shot but for me they are worth the money as they are very kind to my skin and very good at removing dirt and make up from my face.
The packaging is good quality, in particular the removable sticky label on the top which you lift away to access the wipes retains its adhesive qualities right to the time when you use the final wipe and this is an important feature that some cheaper versions do not manage as it protects the life of the wipes. The packaging suggests that they have a 3 month life span which given the fact that there are only 25 wipes per pack this is not an issue. Having used one complete pack I was impressed with the consistency of the wipes, the first felt no different to the last and they all retained their moist feel without becoming too wet.
They separate easily and come out as single wipes which means you do not waste any. On my skin they are wonderfully refreshing and soft feeling. They leave my skin feeling fully cleansed and clean. They are excellent for travel while on holiday or for use on the go as the packaging is secure and they will not leak.
My skin certainly feels a little tighter after using these and there is a healthy glow to it. They have a nice moisturising quality to them and are very effective at removing any dirt from my pores. I would say they are suitable for most skin types, certainly I have had no problems with them and they are a very effective cleansing wipe and worth the extra expense.
Face wipes come in very handy for me as I am always on the go and it is a quick efficient way of removing my make up on the go or even sitting in front of the TV and being lazy and along the line I have tried nearly every wipe going. I brought these on offer for £3 in my local Tesco and in the packet you get 25 wipes.
The pack itself is white and states on it that it is good for use with all skin types and this was the main reason I purchased them as I have combination skin so it can be hard to find something that can add moisture in some places while taking away oil in others. It has all the ingredients listed on the packet and then in different languages all the usual suspects of face wipes.
The pack has a re useable lid to the packet to help keep in the goodness which is good cause on average a pack of face wipes last me around a month so I sometimes find that packs without a plastic lid to keep them fresh go hard dry and stale by the time I come to the last few wipes.
It is very easy to remove a wipe from the pack simply lightly pull on the corner of the wipe and out they come 1 by 1 so no waste and no accidentally ending up with a hand full of wipes. The wipes themselves are rather thick for a face wipe which is great as it means I can clean my makeup off without needing to be gentle or worrying about the wipe ripping. They are moist and remove make up very easily a little elbow grease is needed for problem areas like eyelashes but over all it takes the make up off very easily.
The wipes leave my face feeling fresh and soft and there is no irritation caused. Although I have not notices a major improvement in my skin it does help clear my pours and prepares my skin for my toner to be used which is exactly what I wanted them for.
They have a very light fragrance to them nothing over powering which is good but just a fresh breeze of a scent you can smell while wiping the cloth over my face.
Over all I think these wipes are really good they do the job they are intended for but at normal retail of around £4 I do think they are a little pricey when I tend to use just normal baby wipes that do the same thing. Although these are formulated for all skin types and the wipes are a little thicker although in size they are a little smaller but over all a great wipe from loreal.
Face wipes are the lazy way of taking make up off and because of this, they are a regular item that I buy. All the L'Oreal wipes are £2.00 in Morrisons which is a great saving as they usually cost around £4.99.
I bought the Triple Active Ideal Balance ones as I like the quality of the wipes and willing to try this version out.

I paid £2.00 for a pack of 25 from Morrisons Super market.
The best thing about the wipes is that on the packaging there is a clickable lid that seals in the freshness. (This is not shown on the Dooyoo picture , it must be a newer feature) This lid locks into place and opens easily to dispense the wipes but keeps them fresh. There is nothing worse than a dry face wipe so I really like this feature. It is normally only found on the more expensive face wipes; which indeed these are at full price!
The wipes are very thick and very soft. They do not rip or tear easily and in my opinion, I think that they are really good quality.
They are unscented but do have a fresh smell about them and are moist but not dripping wet. I've had wipes before that have been so saturated that it has dripped down my neck. These are just the right level of dampness.
The main use for these is to take my make up off and I find that the wipes do this very successfully. The wipes are thick so do not tear while I am using them, plus they are of a decent enough size to take a whole face of make-up off. Even with stubborn mascara, you can give your eyes a gentle rubbing and the make-up comes off easily and there are no panda eyes in the morning.
The wipes are gentle and they do not irritate my skin at all. Sometimes I have used other wipes that sting and leave my face feeling sore and aggravated. They are really delicate, which is perfect for taking eye make-up off. My eyes do not get irritated by the solution the wipes are soaked in.
After using the wipes, my skin feels soft and clean. Not as clean as if I had washed with a face wash however. Sometimes I do feel like I need to wash my face with a wash to completely clean it. The wipes are supposed to be soaked in a balancing formula t6hat is enriched with Hydra-Claryl to hydrate skin whilst eliminating excess sebum from oily areas. As far as face wipes go, I am fairly pleased with results of the wipes.
After a long day at work, taking my make up off and slipping into my PJs is a wonderful feeling. These wipes give that satisfaction that the day is over and make the chore of taking the war paint off much easier.
When they are two pounds a packet, they are a really good buy. I cannot tell the L'oreal wipes apart though, they all seem to smell and look exactly the same but as a brand and they are one of the best quality wipes out there and a bit of a bargain.
I never quite mastered washing my face in the sink, something to do with my hair getting wet, and the taps getting in the way. I'd be useless in a face wash commercial because water doesn't gracefully fly up and splash my face the way they like to show it doing. I've used face wipes for more than 10 years now, and tend to use them at the end of the day, as I normally shower in the morning and wash my face 'properly' then. I'm not sure properly is the right word, though, as my face feels really clean and fresh after using wipes, often nicer than if I've just soaped it up in the shower.
In the UK I use Johnsons Baby Wipes on my face, resulting in numerous invitations from supermarkets to join their baby clubs. Anyone would think you had to have a little one to buy them. In Colombia, Johnsons wipes are expensive and I don't quite trust the local brand alternatives. So, even though it would never happen in the UK, I ended up buying these L'Oreal wipes as one of the better value options. I got a twin pack for $20,000 which is about £6.50, and each pack has 25 wipes so it's almost two months' supply, give or take a day or two.
These are called triple active wipes, but even after reading the packet blurb in several languages I'm not entirely sure what the 3rd action is, after cleansing, and removing make up. However baby wipes don't harp on about the multiple actions they provide with a single swipe, so really these aren't things that concern me. I have 'normal' skin. It is neither oily nor dry. It is no longer prone to breakouts. It gets a hammering from the sun, but never really feels uncomfortable or tight, so my main criteria for any wipe is that it doesn't cause my skin to change to being any of these things. I want my skin to be clean afterwards, obviously, but aside from that it just has to be no worse than before. Anything else is a bonus.
These wipes come in typical small packs that seem a bit more compact than some. There are two things I adore about the design. The first is that the sticky label on the top stays sticky even after 25 openings, meaning the wipes never dry out. For the price I want my 25th wipe to be as lovely and moist as the 1st one out of the packet. Related to this, I am pleased with the way that the moisturising cleansing ingredients don't sink to the bottom either, leaving the last few wipes a big soggy mess that requires you to towel off your face. I have had each of my packs open for more than a month, though the packet suggestion that they have a 3 month lifespan may be an indication that they deteriorate after that time (or there is a chance they might, even if not proven). The great seal means you could also transport these easily for on the go cleansing, at work, at the gym, when staying over at someone's or wherever.
The second part of the pack design that I find fab is the way wipes come out individually, not all clumped up together as with some brands. I hate it when you want one and get two or three, leaving you with the dilemma of whether to waste them, or try to stick them back in the pack which is only slightly less difficult than trying to get toothpaste back in the tube (and about as hygienic). I have never once had this problem with these wipes.
The wipes themselves are a tough sort of soft fabric. This means they don't rip, but also means they cannot easily be split in half without the aid of scissors, if you're the kind of person who would like to make your wipes last longer. I think these are too small to be split anyway - they're a good size for a single use, but there's not anything left over, going to waste at the end. They feel stronger than most wipes, more on the way towards a proper fabric cloth than a wet tissue.
These wipes feel lovely and soft against the skin, and even when I have sore, chapped 'cold nose' or pink, vaguely burning 'sun cheeks' they never feel anything but comforting. They are luxurious and much less harsh than some wipes I have used before, so using one is like having a mini facial in your own home, leaving your skin feeling pampered, despite the fleeting use of the wipe.
The cleanser is very moisturising and while it removes dirt, it doesn't strip your skin of its natural oils, or leave it feeling tight. At the same time, my face definitely feels cleaner after using these, sort of in the same way nails feel different when polish is removed: it's like the skin can breathe again, and embrace the fresh air. My face feels lighter and fresher after using these, and while I don't wear make up, I can definitely feel the colour I do accumulate - city dust and dirt - being gently lifted off. I gave up on some make up removing wipes before as they were too severe on bare skin, but these work well even if you're foundation- and mascara-free.
When I use these, my skin tingles momentarily. It's not unpleasant and it doesn't go on for a long time. If anything it makes me feel more wide awake (though not for long enough to affect my subsequent sleep). With these wipes my skin feels squeaky clean, and I never get the sense there's any residue left behind, a problem I've noticed with some cream cleansers in particular.
These wipes have a lovely, fresh fragrance, like cucumber mixed with something mildly woody, with a citrus kick. They smell clean, not sweet, and the image they give off is of something dermatologically tested and proven to work on relevant skin types....which is what the packet says they are.
After using these my skin looks as good as it feels. It looks brighter and cleaner, almost as if I've washed my face in water and then vigorously towelled it dry. It's not pink and raw, it just has a nice supple glow to it. While I still like to follow it with a moisturiser, I don't absolutely need to, for either comfort or appearance, and the wipes alone help even skin tone and refine pores, from the moisturising ingredients they contain.
I was extremely impressed by these wipes and would buy them again. I didn't think there was that much variation in this type of product, but these have shown me a vast gap between cheapo wipes and a big brand's version. These are so much more than just a wet wipe, and as such I think they are worth the price.
These wipes are made in France so, you would think, should be much easier to find in the UK than over here in South America. Amazon currently sells them for £2.99 a pack while less well known places like One Click Pharmacy have them for a fraction less, at £2.68, and of course they're likely to turn up anywhere from Boots to Bodycare via supermarkets and Superdrug. I think that's a great price for the brand name and they're well worth it.
