Great product, if a little on the pricey side

I'm 27 years old. I have teenage skin. I mean teenage spotty skin, not young looking teenage skin. Life is cruel!
For years I have been waiting for my skin to calm to down but no such luck. Instead, about 4 years ago, I had a wild reaction to a Christmas toiletry gift set and now, to add to the greasy forehead, I have extremely dry skin across the rest of my face - bonus!

So, I have worked my way through many products trying to find something that doesn't make my skin greasier but is powerful enough to combat my dry skin and gentle enough to use everyday. Well, I have almost found it (and almost is good enough for me, I can't keep looking forever!)

Lab Series is a set of products by Aramis that started development in 1987. This product, the Daily Moisturiser, has been brilliant for me. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and feels very light on the skin. It never makes me feel greasy and has managed to keep the dry skin on my cheeks mostly supple - I cycle on my commute and the winter wind has meant that I have sometimes needed to apply the moisturiser twice a day rather than my usual once a day.

The lotion also contains a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 15 (the min recommended by specialists). This is perfect for a cyclist like me who is regularly outdoors in the sun. Whilst I'm never really out long enough to get any sunburn, it is enough to speed up those signs of aging.

The lotion itself has antioxidants in it which claim to fight against the signs of aging - I can't say that I have noticed me getting any younger when I look in the mirror but my skin is suppler and taut ergo I should stay looking the same age!

The lotion is for all skin types and as someone with very sensitive skin I can certainly vouch for this. I have had no reactions or side affects which I have experienced with other lotions that claim to be for sensitive skin.

Men have a thicker, heavier skin that starts to lose density as we get older. As this happens, sebum (our natural moisturiser) starts to be produced less and the skin gets dryer and irritation from shaving gets worse. I also use this lotion as an after shave moisturiser as well as a daily moisturiser and have found this to significantly reduce the irritation I used to get.

So, all positive so far..... The downside is the price. 100ml of this lotion will set you back about £35 but from my experience, it lasts around 4-6 months. I tend to purchase mine from Boots.com who regularly have a 3-for-2 offer on the Lab Series products so I stock up.

I've finally found a great product that doesn't irritate my skin - it feels like Christmas Already. Well, here's to one without a blotchy face!
