If you have read any of my recent reviews, you may be aware that I'm a bit of a Lancome fangirl. It all started with this product. I went to try a foundation (which I didn't end up buying; but did buy a different one at a later date) and the beauty woman 'cleansed' my original makeup off with this. My skin felt so beautifully soft, I decided to buy one there and then.
I'm definitely a person who prefers foam, froth and wash off cleansers rather than cream cleansers and even when I bought this, I knew I wouldn't use it every day. I find wash-off cleansers can dry out my already dry skin, but using cream cleanser every day would give me a breakout of spots. So I interchange the two depending on how my skin feels. It comes in a large while bottle, 200ml worth and is for dry skin (but can't see how it would do normal/combination any harm). You squirt a bit of cleanser onto your hands, rub it over your face and then take it off with cotton wool or a cotton wool pad. I find that a little cleanser goes a long way and gets off various bits of grime and makeup off really easily with just a very small amount.
After using this, my skin feels really nicely moisturised, I think this is the part when you are supposed to use a toner but I don't always do this (which is probably why I get the occasional breakout of spots!) as it is so very moisturising and lovely to my skin. The tone looks clearer and the skin texture feels really nice and very soft too.
I would buy this cleanser again as although it is expensive, I do find a little goes a very long way. The only downside is that the bottle itself is quite heavy so not ideal if you want to travel lightly. Luckily I managed to nab a travel version too! I really do rate Lancome products and have never found a brand that I have been so loyal too in the past. Next stop...a Lancome moisturiser, hopefully can find a good'un.
Galatee Confort is a lovely cleanser milk. I came across this cleanser when I stayed over night at a friends house and she used it as part of her nightly skin regime. I tried it and have never looked back.
Lancome says that its for dry skin however I have combination and it works beautifully for me.
Its a light cleanser not too greasy, lightly scented and it feels quite luxurious when you put it on your skin.
Its not a cheap cleanser at £40.00 a 400ml bottle using morning and nightly will last about 2.5 months.
I fiqure that its no good buying expensive make up if your skin underneath is nt healthy and clear. I feel that its an expense that is well worth paying, you can use it on every part of your face which includes removing eye make up because its so gentle. It leaves your face feeling clean, soft and pores appear smaller and remember with this product you can ditch the eye make up remover.
I never have spots except the odd monthly spot (ladies know what I mean). This is a luxurious product that is well worth the spend
