“ Brand: Lancome / Exfoliator / Type: Face Peel / Suitable for: Face / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types / What it does: Peels, „
I was bought this as a gift last Xmas, and had HUGE expectations. I had heard the hype, and wondered...could it be true? Will this really offer an 'at home' version of a beauty salon glycemic peel - well the answer, for me at least, was no.
It is really easy to use, the kit contains a hairband, brush (to apply peel), the Peel itself in a pump action tube, removing wipes and moisturiser to be used every day whilst 'peeling'. The peel feels quite nica and cool when first applied, and much like with a face mask, you leave it on for 10 mins, but unlike a face mask it does not go hard. You then use one of the wipes (you only get enough to use 1 per application and they are quite small) to remove all of the peel. It then tells you to apply the moisturiser, but my advice would be to splash your face with water first, and pat dry, to remove any left over peel (like I said the wipes are pretty small!). The moisturiser is lovely, no smell and has an SPF of 15.
You use the peel over 2 weeks and it is meant to 'resurface' your face by slowly removing the top layer - sounds horrific I know) to reveal fresh clear skin.
I have seen better results using basic facial scrub! Any for the money (roughly £100 per kit) it certainly did not perform. My skin felt softer, but I couldn't see any real reduction is fine lines or blemishes as it promises. I am a BIG fan of Lancome but this disappoints.
Sorry - a loser in my book!
