As a teenager, I suffered from quite severe acne for a number of years. This left me with pitted scarring, mainly on my cheeks, temples and nose. I have tried lots of cosmetics to "cover up" this issue as it really affected my confidence. However, nothing seemed to work. This problem was also made worse by the visible pores on my face, so make up seemed to sit in my pores and scars, rather than my face looking flawless like everyone else's (or so it seemed to me)
Last year I began to look at microdermabrasion but with a hefty price tag, it was suggested to me to first try a product that was designed to help. After much research, the one product that kept coming back to me was this one. Lancome Visionnaire. I received a lovely gift voucher for Christmas, so decided to take the plunge and purchase this serum from Debenhams for £59. I purchased the value pack, which also came with mini sizes of 3 other items.
I have never spent this much on Skincare before and to be honest didn't know what to expect. The serum comes in a gorgeous blue/green glass bottle, that looks lovely on my dressing table. The bottle contains 30ml of serum. It is an advanced skin correcting serum that targets wrinkles, pores and evenness.
The lid easily clicks on and off to reveal a pump action dispenser. Through trial and error, I have found one and a half pumps of serum is enough to cover my face. After cleansing and toning, I smooth this serum over my face. I do this twice daily. There is quite a strong fragrance to this serum, you can sort of smell the alcohol in it but I find it pleasant. It feels very silky smooth on my skin and leaves no oily residue.
I have been using this serum for 4 weeks now and it has completely changed my skin! Yes I still have scarring but they are definitely not as visible and with make up on, I would say they are nearly invisible! My make up goes on smoothly and stays put, without clinging to the dry patches that I used to have. My pores have definitely also shrunk.
I would say I still have a good 3/4 months of use left in this bottle and I would happily pay £59 for another.
