In 1996 the Liz Earle Range was launched on QVC, the TV home shopping channel, since then the range has won various awards for best Cleanser and Toner, Grazia Health and Beauty Achievement and Innovation Award and the BUAV (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection) named Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare 'Best Cruelty-Free Skin Care Products' in its first 'Golden Bunny' Awards. Liz Earle recently recieved an MBE from the Queen.

It is made from naturally active ingredients which include shea butter, avacado oil and echinacea and is not tested on animals.

      Ingredients

Aqua, PEG-20 sterate, Coco-caprylate/caprate, persea gratiaaima(avacado)oil, Glycerin, Caprylic/capric triglyceride, Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), talc ,Cetearyl alcohol, Echinacea purpurea extract, Sodium lactate, Panthenol, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Humulus lupuls (hops), parfum, Beta carotene, Lactic acid, Citral, Citronellol, Courmarin, Geraniol, Limonenene, Linalool, Tree moss absolute, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic acid, Dehydroacetic acid, Ethyhexylglycerin, Polyaminopropyl

This is a lovely body lotion from the Liz Earle brand, I got it in a set from qvc in a Today`s Special Value Set.

I do not have sensitive skin but i`ve read people with psorasis and ezcema use it with no problems due to all the natural ingredients.
I recently used a hair remover cream on my legs for the first time and it brought me out in an almost surnburn feeling rash with the redness and the stinging, I put a thick layer of this body lotion on straight away and it calmed it within minutes.

I only really need to use it once a day every other day cos it`s so rich and hydrating yet sinks in straight away. I tend to get dry elbows and this seems to really help it over night and the rest of my arms are left silky smooth. The body cream is beautifull you only need a little as little goes a long way.

      A 200ml from Liz Earle.com costs around £15.00 and a 50ml size costs £5.50.

Give it a go, lovely product

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

I am a fan of the beauty shows on QVC. They sell stuffs that you normally can’t find in high-street shops. Liz Earle is currently one of the brands not sold in stores yet (at time of print). If you don’t already know, it is one of those brands that believes in using natural materials in their products and tries to use natural, or low concentrations of broad-spectrum preservatives. This Daily Skin Smoother is a grand way of naming what is basically a body lotion. It is enriched with echinacea (useful for treatment of skin conditions such as eczema), natural Vitamin E (antioxidant), pure orange, lavender, rosewood and geranium essential oils, avocado oil, hops extract (used for it’s aroma and astringent properties), shea butter (moisturising) and beta-carotene (nourishing for dry skins). The directions state that I should massage this product sparingly into warm skin after bathing for longer lasting hydration. From what I have noticed, the reason is because it sinks in better into the skin when the skin is still warm and the pores are opened after a shower or a bath. I found that if I applied it on any other times, the texture being creamy, will make my skin feel sticky and heavy. Anyhow, my skin feels very well moisturised – perfect for these winter months when the skin on my elbows and knees start flaking. It smells mostly of lavender (topnote) which I’m not really a fan of. But I find that if I applied it according to the aforementioned directions, the smell is less pronounced and I can live with it. I know people who are fond of lavender, so this is perfect for them. Lavender smell has also been found to ward off mosquitoes and insects, so it’s great for bringing along to tropical places. Another added bonus is, because this product contains many soothing botanical ingredients such as shea butter and Vitamin E (great for sunburns), it is useful as an after-sun lotion. The only disadvantage
is that you can only buy this product either direct from Liz Earle’s company (0800 413318) or through QVC (0800 504030 item no. 213 294), so you have to pay postage and packing.
