Advantages: exfoliates, cheap, cleans skin really well
Disadvantages: none
I received my muslin cloths with Liz Earle cleanse and polish from QVC originally. They are £2.00 each otherwise which isn't bad considering you can use them again and again by putting them in the washing machine. I usually throw them in with my whites.
The muslin cloths are a great way of exfoliating your skin using a circular motion and are better for retaining heat. Which is probably why Liz Earle chose this cloth for the hot cloth cleanser as the idea of this product is to use a hot cloth with the cleanser.
You can purchase the cloths in a set that come with the 'Hot cloth cleanser' or you can just buy them separately. The cloths are white with a light natural green trim on the edges. This really goes well with the other Liz Earle products as some of them are packaged in bottles that match the same colour as the green trim.
I like the fact the cloth is white because you have a good indication of how much dirt or make-up you have removed. At first the cloths are quite hard but once they have been washed a few times they become really soft. I do use this cloth to wash off my make-up every now and again (When I'm not feeling lazy and just use wipes) and it has been incredibly affective. It removes make-up I feel much better than using skincare wipes and also the foundation and mascara doesn't stain the cloth once it has been washed. Which is always a good thing, as most cloths, bedding and so on do remained stained when foundation has been on them.
Exfoliaters can leave your skin feeling quite sore, but this particular way of exfoliating makes my skin feel really nice and soft and has the great affect of cleaning my skin too. It saves doing two jobs.
After using the cloths I wash them in some water and then use again. I tend to use them twice before putting them in the washing machine, however, if I had more I would probably use a new one each day which is probably recommended. Once I give the cloth a rinse I leave it to air dry, so its dry for the next morning or by the evening if I am removing make-up.
Overall, I love the muslin cloths by Liz Earle; they are a great way of cleaning and exfoliating ones face and are pretty cheap too. 5/5
Summary: love it :)
