Lush Angels On Bare Skin
Advantages: Good price, leaves skin refreshed.
Disadvantages: The look.
I first used Angels on Bare Skin about 4 or 5 years ago whilst going through the bad skin stage of being a teenager, it was first recommended by a friend and although it hasn't been a constant essential for me it's something I always have in the bathroom and use when I feel my skin needs a really good cleanse.
What Lush say: "Our heavenly lavender roll is a best- seller, once you've used it you'll know why. We've taken a medieval recipe and blended ground almonds to gently scrub, with china clay to deeply cleanse. Generous helpings of rose and lavender oils do their magic balancing and soothing your skin. No matter how naughty you are, wash with this and your face will look simply angelic.
Price: A 100g roll of Angels costs £5.80, which is a common price amongst Lush cleansers. As it comes in a solid form as appose to a cream it is easy to control how much you're using, and you don't need to use much get a good coverage. I'd say out of 100g I could easily get 15 uses, but if using on face and neck it's probably more like 10-12.
Appearance / Smell: I wouldn't be drawn to this generally while shopping at Lush, it isn't pretty. It's a roll of what looks like clay with bits of lavender dotted inside. This attributes to the light floral scent; it's not over the top and almost has a sweetness to it.
Using Angels: As it comes in a semi- solid roll you simply break off a small chunk, Lush recommend pea size but I tend to use a little more than this. Then you rub this into the palm of your hand with a little water to make it into a paste. Then you massage this paste into your skin, I like to add a bit more water once it's on my face for better coverage. Rinse off with warm water and pat your skin dry.
Does it Work?: I was impressed by the results of Angels on Bare Skin; it's almost a two in one as it is a cleanser but also leaves your skin feeling exfoliated. Although it doesn't appear so, I find this product very light, and leaves my skin feeling fresh and really refreshed.
Overall: I do like having Angels on Bare Skin hanging around; it really does the job and leaves skin feeling completely refreshed. I think it's priced just right, and it does last well, you don't need to use much to see good results.
Summary: 4/5 the only downside is it isn't very pretty.
