Lush description = Angelic and medieval cleansing wash with rose and lavender. Angels on Bare Skin is the Lush version of an expensive medieval skincare recipe. Rare, precious essential oils were first brought to Europe by the crusaders who encountered Arabian medicine. Rose oil and lavender oil were discovered to do wonderful things for the skin, too. Almost a thousand years later you'd be hard pressed to find a better all round cleanser and exfoliator than Angels.

Personal Experience = Angels on Bare Skin is by far one of the best natural cleansers I have tried to date. With sensitive and easily dried out skin I am often wary of products which contain especially harsh chemicals, which can end up completely stripping my skin. After a bad experience with a high street brand (T-zone face wash) left my face red and sore I decided to try this Lush cleanser as a way to sooth my skin. The high oil contents (including Lavender oil, Chamomile Blue oil and Tagetes oil) persuaded me that this would be the perfect cleanser to allow my skin to recover.

I was not disappointed. With a pleasant smell and gentle exfoliation, I assume due to the ground almonds, this product is both effective and gentle with no aggravating impact on my skin. It is relatively easy to use as a small piece of the cleanser just needs to be mixed with water. This produces a milky liquid which you can then apply to your face. It also contains no parabens, which still appear in some of the other Lush products, which I see as another great advantage. It has been great on my skin, causing no irritation, and is definitely my best purchase from Lush.

Summary: Great gentle cleanser for all skin types, especially those with particularly sensitive skin.
