Packaging:
It's just the standard black pots from Lush - I like these, but some people think they look ugly. If you collect 5 empty pots, you can clean them and take them back to lush, and tehey'll give you a free face mask. This is one of their schemes to encourage recycling, and to make their company more eco-friendly.

How do I use it?
Remove your make up, if you are wearing any. I was told this cleanser would remove make up, but it doesn't. This doesn't really bother me, because I've always used a separate make up remover! Take a small pea sized amount, put it into your palm, add a few drops of water and mix it to form a paste that you can then apply to your face. Massage it onto your face and then rinse it off, to be left with clean skin.

What is the product like?
I can't really explain the consistency of this product when it's dry. It's like soil, but with oil in it. You can definitely feel oil (lavender) in the product, but it's not greasy. It also contains lavender flowers which are too big to act as exfoliants but they do offer some amount of massage when they are rubbed on to the skin. The exfoliating element of this cleanser comes from ground almonds, which are ground so fine in this cleanser you honestln't even feel them doing any kind of exfoliating - but it does feel like your skin has been exfoliated when you rinse it off. When you start using this product, it's a bit tricky to figure out how much water toly, and what consistency the cleanser should be, I liked to use mine so that it was a bit thicker than a conventional cleanser, so I would only add a couple of drops of water. Once the water and cleanserve been mixed together, you can apply it to your face and massage it in. Take your time massaging, because this is actually quite relaxing and it's good for your skin too. Rinse if off with warm water and gently pat dry. You will find that your skin is soft and clean. Some people find that the oil in the cleanser leaves their skin feeling greasy - I have combination skin and I did not have this problem.

Does it work?
This is supposed to be the best cleanser that Lush sell, I see so many reviews for it. I think it's alright. It keeps my skin clean, it didn't cause any extra break outs, and it helped get rid of existing spots. It made my skin softer and the tone was more even and my skin looked brighter. But I still got the normal amount of spots I would.

Would I repurchase?
I wouldn't repurchase for 2 reasons:
1. It didn't prevent spots, which for me is the most important thing from myy cleanser
2. It's not really worth it. It lasted me 6 weeks, using it morning and night (and I used less than the shop assistant recommended). I know it's not an expensive cleanser, but there are other cleansers at the same price and cheaper that work better and last longer!

Summary: It's a good cleanser if you have normal skin, but I wouldn't really recommend it
