Lush Cosmetic Lad
Advantages: Natural ingrediants, Long last, Smells nice
Disadvantages: A bit 'sticky' at first
If you've ever walked past a Lush store and have been put off by the feminine smell that is often quite overpowering you may be shocked to find out that they also do a couple of men-only products. Their main male beauty product comes under the name of 'Cosmetic Lad' which is a moisturiser for the male population.
I had only became aware of this product when I was scouring the Lush website looking for a birthday gift box from Lush for my girlfriend and for some reason this popped up. It currently retails at £11.50 for a 50g pot. Some of the ingredients included in the product are; almond oil, aloe vera, lavender honey water, cocoa butter, fresh wheatgrass juice, shea butter, tangerine oil, african marigold oil and a whole lot more. So plenty of natural and good ingredients that Lush is widely known for.
The product itself is a cold fresh thick paste which you can apply evenly on your face. It gives off a nice fresh smell although I wouldn't say it isn't a feminine smell it's not overly masculine either, I get the scent of vanilla with a slight fruity smell. I have to say though that it isn't as nice to apply compared to some of the more expensive brands that I have used in the past. It does have a 'cold and sticky' feel to it when it is first applied so takes a while for it to settle in onto the skin and feel more natural.
However, saying that, for what it is, is does do a pretty excellent job keeping my skin fresh all day. The smell is long lasting too, even after several hours of applying I can still smell the product on my skin and it is a nice natural smell too. The 50g pot is quite a small size so in my opinion it doesn't last too long but it depends how generous you want to use it. I often use it as an aftershave balm too which helps soothe my irritated skin.
Overall, it is one of my favourite products from Lush, although they are very limited in the kind of things they do for their male customers this is defintly a good purchase.
Summary: Not a bad product. Worth treating your skin!
