Perfect cream for skin in need of a big drink!

I bought this cream following a conversation with a Lush shop assistant. The cream comes in a standard Lush black recycled pot and it is white in colour. I would say the scent is quite medicinal yet herbal, if you combine the two together. However the scent is rather nice and it lingers on the skin after use. The cream itself is quite thick in consistency, although batches tend to vary. I've had thick Dream Cream pots before followed by runny pots a month later so it depends on the batch. Thicker pots tend to be easier to work with.

I use this cream when I am suffering from dry skin problems, which I suffer from on a regular basis. The cream itself is full of lovely soothing ingredients that work wonders for all sorts of dry skin conditions. You can feel the cream instantly going to work. The cream soaks into the skin well, although it can be a little greasy if you tend to use too much. I would suggest starting with a small amount of cream first and then applying more if needed. I apply the cream all over my body, using it when and where it is needed. Although the cream isn't designed to be used on the face I have used it on my face before without experiencing any problems or side effects. It's great for spots!

As well as using the cream for my dry skin problems I have used it before to treat sunburn, burns and scalds and spots. A little goes a long way so one pot usually lasts me a month and I do use it most days. If I forget to use the cream it does show on my skin so regular use works best. The cream is 100% natural so rest assured you are putting just natural goodness onto your skin and no harsh chemicals. The cream hasn't been tested on animals either and Lush offer a money back guarantee if the product does not work for you. Just keep your receipt.

A great skin cream for dry skin. Try it!

Good for my skin - scent sets of asthma

I have extraordinary skin and asthma that is set off by strong artificial smells - so I tend to have to opt for a completely fragrance free product. However, I was given a pot of this for Christmas. I don't go in to lush as the mix of scents overwhelm me and I can't breath if I enter the shop - I am the same through the perfume counters in department stores.
However, my skin really seems to like this cream - it really does sink in very quickly and leave my skin feeling soft and dewy!
I cannot use it if my asthma is bad though as the scent, although not overly strong, sets my asthma off.
Oat milk is one of the main ingredients - as it is in many similar products that are good for sensitive skins, as well as a huge range of different essential oils.

      Cured my dry skin!!!

This is my HG for my psoriasis and dishydriotic eczema.

I've had this problem for 20 years. I tried prescription products, which didn't work and left crap on my hands that made me nuts. I tried Gold Bond lotion, which worked well, but this stuff blew that out of the water.

I got a small 1 oz. sample from the Lush store that opened at my local mall. I tried it and by the time I got halfway through that, my peeling hands and fingers were cured! My fingertips were soft and smooth for the first time in 20 years. My nail tech noticed the difference right away. In fact, after I bought a full jar of this, I gave the rest of my sample to her for another client with similar issues, and she's also having amazing results. I find that when I stop using it, my symptoms do come back, but very slowly.

I take the tub and funnel it into squeeze bottles to help dispense it, and to have a stash in my purse. A little drop is all I need so it helps it last longer. Straight from the tub is not very convenient for me.

I recommend it to anyone with itchy flaky skin. You will be amazed. The scent is very faint, which for me is good, because a lot of the stuff from Lush is scented heavily, and not always in a way that I like. I wish it was a bit cheaper, but it lasts a long time, and works amazingly well.

      Advantages

      • "Good on new tattoo"
      • "Softens skin"

      Disadvantages

      • "Not as cheap as other products"
      • "Packaging could be better"
      • "Could smell better"

      Good, but could be cheaper

I first used this several years ago when I got a tattoo and the artist recommended it. It is not the cheapest product like this, but nothkng in Lush is, and because it was the thing recommended I decided it was worth the money.
The cream is good quality and feels nice on the skin, leavjng it obviously softer. The pot lasts for quite a while, although due to the price I am always careful not to use too much at a time.
One thing that could be improved about this product is the smell. It is not terrible, but it is not as nice as a lot of other creams. Although the packaging is nice, I would prefer a different design because it is easy to accidently drop and spill. It can also be easier to use too much, which is annoying.
The product itself is very good, but I don't use it all the time due to the price. Compared to some creams it is very good value, but unfortunately my main consideration when buying something like this is how much it costs, until I need it for a specific reason, like my tattoo. However, when I got my second tattoo a different product was recommended to me, so I used that instead. In terms of tbe tattoo itself there was no noticeable difference between the two creams, although the second was cheaper. Dream Cream did feel better on my skin, though, so I may well use it again if/when I get my next tattoo.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Lovely moisturising product

I can''t say enough good things about Lush''s Dream Cream. It was first suggested to me when I had very bad sunburn which normal after-sun treatments weren''t touching. I was dubious, but bought a tub anyway and it was brilliant! The cream is incredibly soothing and cooling on the skin, which is just what you want with sunburn, and helped put some moisture back. Since then I''ve also used it for a range of scenarios. It''s great for dry or irritated skin, and also nice as a regular moisturiser. Although it''s not the cheapest product on the market the tub is a good size and I find that I don''t need a huge amount for it to be effective, meaning that the tub lasts a long time. The black tubs are also included in Lush''s "bring back five for a free face mask" offer so you do get something back from regular purchases. In terms of downsides, there are a couple of minor things. The first is the price - this isn''t a low cost product (nothing from Lush is particularly cheap) but to me it is still good value for money. The second is the smell which I''m not a huge fan of. The closest comparison I can make is Sudocrem, but again this is not enough to put me off, and other people have said that they really like the smell. Overall this is a wonderful product which does exactly what it claims and more, and I''ve recommended it to countless people over the years!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A real "dream cream"

Lush dream cream claims to be their number 1 lush product and I can really see why. Lush is one of my favorite skin care companies as their products are very natural and also great for my super sensitive skin. Most (if not all) of their products are vegan friendly, made of only natural ingredients and NOT tested on animals which is a big plus for me.

On a trip to meadow hall in Sheffield (one of our locals) we popped in lush in the hopes to find something new for me to try. After having my little girl 4 months ago its left the skin on my belly very dry and having tried a few other creams and them not working I thought I would see if lush had anything. If you've ever been in lush you'll know how lovely and helpful the staff are and I approached a member of staff and she was more than happy to help when I explained my dry skin problem and also my very sensitive skin.

She told me about dream cream and how its one of their best selling products and its great for the most delicate of skin. Lush shops usually have sample pots in so you can try before you buy, so she handed a sample of the dream cream over and let me smell, feel and use the cream before I bought it. After using it on my hands it felt lovely and smooth and I really wanted to give it a go on my belly too. The price tag was quite steep at £11.25 for a 240g pot but it was a Christmas present off other half to he didn't mind paying it (thankfully).

I had to wait until Christmas day for my cream but was looking forward to unwrapping it and using it. Christmas day came and I first used my cream on my hands after washing the mountain of pots and they felt instantly refreshed. My skin is always its driest straight after coming out the shower so that night I put it to the test on my baby belly . . . and it worked wonders, the dry skin went and thankfully hasn't returned since i started using the cream about 3 weeks ago now (about 3 times a week on my belly and once a day on my hands).

It comes in a black pot with a screw lid and has quite plain packaging but this is lush' style. Lush dream cream doesn't have the most exciting of smells, maybe a of hint lavender and its also quite a dull colour, but that doesn't bother me if it means ill be getting all natural ingredients. The texture is also nothing too exciting but its doesn't leave my hands greasy or sticky after applying it and i can really tell a difference for a few hours (and hand washes) after putting it on.

I really can see why this is a best seller as its done wonders for my skin and belly and i think my search is finally over for finding a cream that my bank balance, skin and hands all agree with.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        It works...

This is one of the first creams that I tried from the Lush general skincare range. I had previously experimented with Lemony flutter (very delicious) and Pied De Pepper (a gorgeous foot cream that is now one of my favourite products). Dream cream has so many good reviews all over the place that I had to try it. I was sent a sample which got used up very quickly, and on the basis of that sample I bought a pot.

Dream cream comes in one of the bigger sized Lush pots (double the size of many products on the site). The pot itself is standard Lush fayre, being recyclable black plastic with the white font. You get 240g of Dream cream in your pot and mine was made by a man with a very strange beard called Ben according to the little sticker on the front.

        WHAT IS IT FOR?

Dream cream is described as a hand and body lotion. Although it is certainly not as rich as the thicker products such as Lemony flutter butter or Helping hands, it is not watery or thin. This is a cream which has a distinctly soft and silky feel when applied and the effects are really quite amazing. I suffer from small patches of psoriasis on my hands which tend to erupt on my knuckles. Nothing has managed to eradicate it much to my frustration, but this cream stops it from splitting or getting too flaky. It is a very gentle formula that contains oak milk, rose water and glycerine- all very famously used for their skin benefits.

        WHAT IS IT LIKE?

Dream cream smells delicious. The aroma is not something that would compete with any perfume that you were wearing and neither is it so "girly" that a man would not use it- instead Dream cream has a soft sweetness which reminds me of sunny fields. Fresh flowers, fresh grass, fresh air- this stuff is subtle but beautiful. It blends well, it does not sit in an oily slick on the skin and you only need a little bit for it to be effective. It can be used all over the body, even on the face.

This product targets people who have sensitive skin. It states on the lid that it is cooling and soothing and it really is. A little research also shows that this product is very popular with those who have problem skin, especially those with eczema. This product is suitable for all skin types.

        WHAT IS IN IT?

Dream cream is packed with good stuff. Lush then ruin it somewhat by doing what they always do- ie adding is a couple of unnecessary nasties, in this case parabens. There is also the generic "perfume" which is unlikely to be natural, and triethanolamine.

That aside- Dream cream contains extra virgin olive oil and cocoa butter as a base, 5 essential oils (benzoin, lavender, rose absolute, chamomile blue and tea tree). The natural products chosen are all added because they have a long history in skin care and reparation. The oat milk base is especially good for dry skin and the results of this cream can be enhanced by adding porridge oats to your bath- after all this is all that "oat milk" is.

Despite the addition of chemicals, Dream cream is effective on sore and dry skin. It is gentle and does not inflame already dry areas, and the effects are lasting. A little goes a long way with this so this big pot should last a long time.

        VALUE FOR MONEY:

A large pot of this costs £11.25 and is available from the Lush website or instore. That might seem pricey but actually the pot lasts so long that it works out at around £3 a month for me. I consider this product to be a good buy and the only thing letting it down for me are the unnatural ingredients.

        Quantitative Ingredients

        Disadvantages

A really nice pretty natural cream

        Lush Dream Cream

I do like Lush and not only their unusual bath products but more in fact their fabulous cream and potions as well as their perfumes. I was looking for another product to write about and this popped up and when I looked down at the reviews I was amazed to see that I had not as yet written a review about this cream which is one of my mainstay products from lush.

        WHAT LUSH SAY

"Hello. Is it me you're looking for?
        Life partner for sensitive skin
        Our number one Lush product.
A soothing and cooling cream that is designed to go on even the most sensitive and easily upset skins.
Can be used on any skin types.
An elegant, simple formula that contains only ingredients that are likely to help with hot, itchy skin.."

They say that this is designed to be for the most sensitive skins and includes yummy oat milk and other ingredients and essential oils that are known for their gentle skin improving and soothing properties. It is another of their older products and it is so popular that they have not been able to replace it or take it off the shelves.

WHAT IS IN THIS MAGIC CREAM?
"We add rose water to the oat milk and then olive oil, cocoa butter and vegetable glycerine. Then we have a blend of essential oils that we have developed over the years for their therapeutic effects on the skin; rose absolute, chamomile blue, tea tree and lavender. ."

Okay so we have the wonderfully skin calming oat milk and many other products around are now using this ingredient including the Aveeno products. Oats contain avenanthramides which is a kind of antibiotic produced by the plant. Apparently they believe this acts as an antioxidant and this is possibly what helps sooth the skin. Oats in creams like this and in medicinal creams have been shown to be anti-inflammatory and to help relieve itchy, irritated skin. The oats have an antihistamine effect so help with allergic rashes and the like.

Cocoa butter we all know is a wonderful natural moisturiser and particularly good for relieving dry itchy skin. It also has a lovely subtle chocolate like scent.

Extra virgin olive oil has a subtle scent and is great for the skin as well. It is almost a wonder oil for skin because of all its antioxidant and It has a high vitamin E content which is also good for repairing skin. It is gentle, easy to apply leaving skin soft and silky. Taken from Lush's website " The oil's active ingredients are vitamin E (a fat soluble antioxidant), oleic acid (omega 9 monounsaturated fatty acid), hydroxytyrosol (plant polyphenol) and squalene (an organic compound found in human sebum)."

The other ingredients mainly essential oils and rose water are there both for their scent and their benefits to skin . We have my favourite rose water, chamomile blue, rose absolute, tea tree oil and lavender oil. All of these have great benefits for skin and also add to the scent of this gentle skin pampering cream. It really is a dream cream.

Sadly they have also added  Methylparaben and Propylparaben   which Lush say are safe but have been questioned re their safety by many so I leave that one for you to decide for yourself how you feel.

        MY EXPERIENCE
I love how this cream feels when I apply it as it is so soft, cool and gentle. It is very quickly absorbed but that doesn't mean that it is not moisturising as my skin feels really nice, not greasy but soft and smooth and comfortable. My skin feels well nourished and pampered after I apply this.

The cream is not a heavy thick cream and is not greasy. It is a creamy colour and smells really lovely too. It has a subtle and quite distinct scent. The floral aromas sort of blend to give a light fresh floral sweet sort of scent I can't actually detect the individual scents not even the tea tree oil which is usually quite strong. I don't think that you would buy this cream just for its scent but it is a really nice cream that also smelle pleasant so that is a bonus from my point of view.

This comes in a 240ml pot for £10.95 so one of Lush's more expensive creams but not the most expensive by a long way. On line it seems you cannot get the smaller pot but I'm not sure if you can in the shop as I am still using my pot that I have had for some time now and as it is getting near its end I thought that I had better write my review before it has disappeared. I have a few other pots so it might be a while before I buy anotherrpot.

        Summary:

This is a nice gentle and soft cream with a pleasant fresh scent . I think like other creams by Lush that this is a pretty luxurious quality cream and suitable for all kinds of skin including those with minor dry patches or sensitive skin. I love this cream and it is one that I usually have in my cupboard as I find it is an excellent moisturising cream which can be used all over my body even when I am suffering from itchy, eczematic skin.

I trust this has been of some interest and use to you and thanks for reading.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Not my dream cream

I never really considered buying anything from Lush as I found the strong smell outside the stores really off putting, but after reading so many positive reviews on Dooyoo, I decided to give it a try.

I must admit I still struggle with the overpowering scent, so I didn't spend long in the shop. Disappointingly the product I wanted was discontinued but the very helpful assistant pointed me in the direction of products that would help my psoriasis and I chose the Dream Cream.

          The product
This comes in a black pot with 240g of product and is described as a body lotion. It costs £10.95 from Lush. I would say that it is part way between a rich body lotion and a body butter. It is their best selling product and is very highly rated.

Aimed at those with sensitive and easily upset skin, Lush claim it will suit all skin types.

The reason I bought this was the assistant said that this had delivered results for people with skin complaints and the majority of the user reviews confirm this.

Ingredients include - oat milk, rose water, extra virgin olive oil, glycerine, tea tree oil, chamomile oil and lavender oil. All of which combined have soothing, nourishing and moisturising properties.

It smells and looks slightly medicinal and I am not keen on the fragrance as the strongest scent I pick up is tea tree oil, which is not one I would choose to use on my hands and body. The other scent I detect is lavender.

          The results
This is a very rich cream that I feel would only suit those with dry skin. Lush recommend applying a generous amount, so I did and managed to create an oil slick on my skin. I could not get the cream to absorb into my skin and had to tissue off the residue so I could dress. Next time I used substantially less but this cream still left a greasy residue on my skin.
When you apply it is very slippery and on application feels quite runny.
It does absorb eventually and is hydrating and after a couple of hours my skin still feels moist without a hint of dryness, so it scores well on the moisturising front.
The cream doesn't irritate my skin, which is very dry, sensitive, and sometimes sore but it takes too long to absorb and leaves my skin feeling greasy and tacky which I find unpleasant. If I use it on my hands I have to tissue off the residue, as it simply does not sink into my skin fast enough and feels slippery and oily.

          Would I Recommend
It's not for me, as I don't like the scent as I think it smells like an antiseptic ointment. The scent isn't strong but it isn't one I like using on my body but added to that is that it just doesn't absorb well and leaves a greasy residue on my skin. There are quite a lot of oils in the product and I have to wait ages before dressing and if I use before bed, I stick to the bedding.
I will continue using this as the reviews indicate good results on skin complaints. I have decided to use it on my legs and so I don't pick up the scent as much and am keeping my fingers crossed that it will work if I persevere. After 3 weeks it hasn't worked a miracle on my legs, but for some reason the skin there is the most difficult to treat. It is definitely a passion killer as my husband complains every time I use this, but payback for when he puts half a jar of Vick on at any sign of a sniffle.
I feel that this is probably best used on patches of irritated skin, as you would apply a balm or ointment. Or simply apply to really rough skin like knees and elbows rather than using it as an all over body lotion primarily because it leaves a residue like a balm on top of the skin.
It is very rich and leaves skin feeling and looking hydrated for a long time after application, so if you can cope with the tacky feeling then this might be for you.
I am disappointed with the cream, but from experience I know that what suits one person doesn't always suit me.
So although I personally won't be buying this again, read the other reviews as it has worked magic for other people who have used this on eczema and rashes.

I will give it 2 stars for the hydrating properties but the scent and greasiness are a let down and it doesn't live up to it's name of Dream Cream

A great cream for anyone suffering with eczema or dry skin

I had read some great online reviews about Lush Dream cream and was looking for something to help my son with his eczema which was not responding well to Dr prescribed creams and lotions, and I was very reluctant to use even mild steroid creams on his skin as they can thin it with long term use.

I went into Lush one day to see for myself and was able to try some of the cream in-store and they gave me a sample of it and the body wash to try out at home. I was really impressed with the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff in-store. I was a bit taken back by the price at nearly £11 for a 240g pot but was reassured by the staff member that you only need a little.

The cream has a lovely consistency - light and creamy and not too oily, and a fresh and not overpowering smell. It has an oatmilk base which is meant to be good for dry skin conditions. Other ingredients include rosewater, organic olive oil and cocoa butter - so some nice natural ingredients which make a change from some of the petroleum based products prescribed by Dr's.

The cream goes on well and doesn't leave the greasy residue you sometimes get with moisturisers. Having tried it for a week or so with my son I was really impressed with the improvement in his eczema and it was also working miracles on my very dry 'mummy' hands so I decided to go ahead and buy a pot.

It is expensive but the lot lasts for ages and it has really helped with my son's eczema and my dry hands. I would recommend it to anyone suffering with dry skin or eczema.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Although it's pricey I think it's well worth the money.

I have been shopping in Lush for a long time now but I usually just limit myself to bubble bars and bath bombs as I find their products can be a bit pricey for everyday use. When I popped in to the Edinburgh store after Christmas, they had a selection of the gift sets reduced so I treated myself to one that contained, amongst other things, a tub of Dream Cream.

As a sufferer of eczema I was dubious of trying the Dream Cream in case it irritated my skin but I needn't have worried, it is the most soothing cream I have ever used. I find a little goes a long way too so a pot lasts for ages.

It works like magic on any patch of dry skin, my daughter was born with a strawberry birth mark so I used Dream Cream to keep it moisturised as if it dries out it can end up bleeding quite badly, it looks much better now and her skin is nice and soft.

It also makes a good nappy rash cream as it is so soothing.

            The ingredients are;

Oat Milk, Rose Water, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Cocoa Butter, Glycerine, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Tincture of Benzoin, Rose Absolute, Chamomile Blue Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume, Methylparaben, Propylparaben
            *occurs naturally in essential oils

as you can see it's packed with natural things and it is suitable for Vegans.

A 240g pot of Dream Cream costs £10.95 which sounds expensive but it lasts ages so I feel it's worth paying for.

Lush state it's their number one product and I can see why.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

An excellent product I like a lot.

I have to start this off by saying: I love Lush products. What I don't love is their prices.

Because of that, for the longest time, I stuck to buying things like bath bombs and bubble bath bars only, because yeah, they were expensive, but not as expensive as the shampoos, creams etc I could buy elsewhere for much cheaper and that would do just as good of a job -- and, I know you can buy bath bombs elsewhere too, but I've never found any I like as much.

Then, somehow, I started to branch out, some perfume here, a shampoo bar there, until the day I bought a tub of Dream Cream, that cost more than I ever thought I'd pay for moisturising cream, and never went back.

As of now Dream Cream costs £10:95 for 240g. The cream itself comes in a sturdy screw top black coloured tub, with all writing in white, meaning any info can be easily read. ( Addition info, if you save five of these black tubs, from any Lush product, you can exchange them for a free fresh face mask )

The tub has a label on the back showing ingredients, the main one of which is oat milk. Which, as Lush states on the label, is made by simmering oatmeal in water to produce a rich oat milk which is effective at calming and soothing the skin.

The cream itself is thick and easily adsorbed into the skin. While there is a scent, I don't find it overpowering at all, though it would be probably best to use at night, or else well before going out. While the front of the Dream Cream tub says it's a hand and body lotion, to me, it's too thick to be called a lotion, plus, I use it as a moisturiser for my face, too.

So, does it work? For me the answer is a resounding yes. I have sensitive skin on my face, and while it's not supposed to be a facial moisturiser, Dream Cream keeps my skin feeling soft, and best of all, keeps down any redness. It's also fantastic for use on the body. Full disclosure, I'm too cheap to use Dream Cream on my whole body, but I do use it on my lower legs, which are very dry, and my arms.

A little of this goes a long way, which soothes my cost conscious side as well as my skin. I've had my tub of Dream Cream since Christmas, and there's still well over half the tub left.

Lush says this is their number one product, and that doesn't surprise me. I recommend for sure.

              super dream cream

Lush is a beauty company who offers wide range of fresh skin care, bath and body treats, hair care and perfumes. They package their goods in minimal packaging and have strong ethics including not testing on animals.

              ~Dream Cream~

              'Life partner for sensitive skin'

Lush state that Dream Cream is their 'no1 Lush product'. It is suitable for all skin types but is perfect for those who have 'sensitive' and 'upset' skin. Dream Cream is marketed as a 'soothing and cooling' cream which is perfect for relieving hot and itchy skin as well as helping eczema and other skin issues. Dream Cream is promoted as a hand and body lotion.

Dream Cream has some key ingredients and is vegan friendly.

*Oat milk - anti-inflammatory properties to relieve itchiness
*Rose water - a mild astringent and even skintone
*Extra virgin olive oil - non greasy
*Cocoa butter - to soften the skin
*Essential Oils - lavender, tea tree, chamomile blue and rose absolute for their theraputic properties

              ~Packaging~

Like many Lush creams, Dream Cream is presented in a round black tub with a screw top lid. Lush don't overcomplicate the packaging but simply have the product information, ingredients etc printed in white. It is worth noting that if you return 5 empty black pots to Lush, you will receive a free face mask worth nearly £6.00!

              ~Price and Availability~

Dream Cream is available in Lush stores or from www.lush.co.uk. A 240g is priced at £10.75.

              ~My Thoughts~

A few months ago, I was browsing Lush with my big sister and came across Dream Cream. I had previously read reviews praising this cream but wasn't sure if I could part with nearly £11.00 for one tub. I ended up halving in with my sister and we split the tub and the price. I used one of my empty Lush tubs for my half. If you have a friend or sister to do this with then definitely go for it as it may be an expensive purchase if it isn't for you!

My sister has irritation breakouts occasionally but I suffer with them regularly. My main issue is my arms. I have had lots of reddish spots and bumps since childhood and was originally prescribed Diprobase but always forgot to use it. Now I like to take care of my skin more and whilst my arms don't often react to regular body lotions, they do get irritated with over heating. I don't use this cream daily but reserve it for when my arms are really uncomfortable and occasionally use it on my legs if I end up with shaving bumps!

              ~Pot of Dreams~

Dream Cream is a rich cream. On opening the pot, it resembles thick and cream condensed milk with a pale beige colour. The immediate scent of Dream Cream is really overpowering due to the various strengths of essential oils in the tub. The lavender jumps out and is intense but I can also detect the rose absolute as well. I can't say I am crazy on the initial scent as it simply is too strong and does make my nose tingle a little. It is more suited to using in the evening as opposed to a daily, fragranced cream for the skin.

Applying this cream feels more like applying something medicinal than something luxurious and perfumed. A tiny blob is sufficient to massage across the skin and the consistency changes from a thick cream to a rich, oily texture but without the greasy feel. Dream Cream has an immediate effect on my irritated skin. It is cool to the touch and the cool feeling remains noticeable as the oily layer quickly sinks into my skin. My skin feels immediately soothed deep down and the surface is left soft and free from residue.

Whenever my skin flares up, I slick this on and it settles down really quickly. Redness subsides and my skin is left feeling relaxed and calm. It works wonders on heat rashes and I can only imagine how soothing it may be to sunburnt skin. It is a very versatile product. My hands reacted to a cleaning product recently and became sore and red. I applied Dream Cream and it settled down instantly but the cream did feel heavy on my hands. On my legs, it relieves shaving bumps and leaves them feeling silky smooth. Thankfully the heady essential oil scent calms down when applied to the skin but the trace of scent remaining isn't amazing but I am not fussed as I don't apply it for its fragrance.

              ~Conclusion and Recommendation~

I have been quite impressed with Dream Cream. It provides immediate and effective relief from uncomfortable skin. Whenever my skin gets sore or too warm, I feel fidgety and constantly want to scratch it. Slicking a small amount of this across the irritated area stops me from itching and making it worse. Those with eczema may find it beneficial to apply this daily but I probably use it a few times a week and can see me using it more during the warmer months.

My skin is very thankful for this cream. It is simple and gentle and I have never experienced any additional irritation though those with specific allergies should consult the ingredients list on the Lush website before making a purchase. I will be buying again!

              Thanks for reading :)

Additional info - having suffered with sunburn today, I can confirm this cream soothes and takes the heat out of the sunburn effectively.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

Great for a wide range of skin conditions

This body lotion really is Dream Cream!

The lotion itself is white in colour and quite thick and creamy in consistency. It is quite gloopy but the consistency is great and so easy to work with. I would describe the scent of the body lotion as quite fresh and herbal. It's a nice scent but I know some people who say it smells horrible and "off", although I disagree with them on that one! The lotion can be used all over the body and it can even be used on the face if your facial skin is red and/ or sore. It can be a little greasy on the face so if I do use it on the face I tend to apply it at night as it's just too greasy on the face to use during the day. The cream helps my facial skin to heal after a round of spots and/ or blemishes. It also helps my acne scars to heal faster than they normally would.

Using the cream on the body feels fantastic. It helps to ease sunburn and sore and irritated skin. Usually using cream on sunburn makes it even more sore but this cream is so gentle that it can be used on the most sore skin without causing any more pain. The cream is so soothing and calming that it helps heal a wide range of skin conditions. It's great for chicken pox too. I used this when I had chicken pox and it stopped the itching, leaving me free from irritation all day long.

This is just a great healing cream and I would recommend it to everyone. I make sure that I always have a pot of this to hand as it is so versatile. I would call it a "wonder cream", simply the best body lotion that I have ever used!

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

Very expensive however it's well worth buying if you suffer from an itchy or dry skin condition.

                **Dream Cream**
Dream Cream is a hand and body lotion made by Lush. It is designed to care and nurture for even the most sensetive skin and it's also been developed to be soothing and cooling, making it a must-have product for me due to my spontaneous bouts of eczema!

                **Product Claims**
Lush claim that Dream Cream is a product that is a simple formula which is able to soothe itchy skin conditions. On their website Lush state 'Here at Lush Towers we have files of letters from customers telling us of their lifetime of skin troubles, eczema etc they suffered from until they met Dream Cream.' The cream isn't designed specifically for one skin type, such as dry or oily and can be used on any skin type, however this is definetly a product I would reccomend more to people with very dry skin as it is so moisturising, however it doesn't worsen oily skin. It also isn't just for people with a skin condition; it can be used by anyone as a moisturiser or hand cream. Another claim is that it helps control blemishes due to the several essential oils that it contains.

                **The Ingredients**
There's lots of lovely ingredients in Dream Cream. The strangest one that stood out to me was oat milk. Lush soak oats in boiling water until the water turns milky white. They then use the oat milk as a base for their cream. Oat milk has many benefits, it is soothing and is able to soften the skin. It has also been proven to be an anti-inflammatory, and is able to relieve itchy, irritated skin. Another unusual ingredient is extra virgin olive oil, which is of course organic. This ingredient is what creates Dream Cream's non greasy formula, and it also helps soften and condition the skin. Cocoa butter is another ingredient, I am sure everyone will of heard of this as it's a well known moisturiser and it's also great at getting a healthy, glowy and even skin tone. Rose absolute, chamomile blue, tea tree and lavender are all ingredients which have a theraputic effect on the skin and smell gorgeous too and tea tree oil is also an anti-septic. There are lots more ingredients and the full list can be found on Lush's website.

**Price, Value For Money and Availability**
Dream Cream definetly isn't cheap at £10.25 for a 240 gram tub. This is definetly a down side to the product but as long as you're careful with how much you use and only use it when you actually feel you need it (rather than using just a normal moistuiser) it will last for a while. I personally only use it when my eczema is bad or when I feel like i'm going to have a bout of eczema, I don't use it as an all over moisturiser or a hand cream as I think it's much too expensive to use alot of. I purchased my first tub of it in November, and I have got quite alot of use out of it however it's almost empty which is why I bought another tub of it at the beginning of January - I really don't want to run out of it as it's brilliant. Dream Cream is available either in store Lush or via their website.

                **Packaging**
Dream Cream comes in the usual black Lush pot which is made of sturdy plastic. It has the Lush logo on it, as well as white font on it with the product name and a brief product description which reads 'We took every essential oil that could help the skin and put it into our softest emulsion. This is as good as it gets!' The lid is easy to screw on and off as well and it's practically packed, it is definetly very simplistic but isn't ugly, nor does it look our of place on my dressing table. The colour scheme as I said is black and white meaning it is definetly a unisex product and guys won't feel silly buying it.

                **Smell and Texture**
Dream Cream has an incredibly relaxing, pleasant smell which is hard to describe but I will do my best! At first I thought that it smelt very slightly medicinal, however i've grown to love it. It's quite a herbal smell, but it's not strong and I personally think it smells quite delicate. The lavendar is quite prominent and there's a slightly sweet undertone which is probably the tea tree oil. There's a slight hint of floral but it's more of a woody floral than a sweet floral. The texture is quite thick, it has a body butter kind of texture so I always make sure I only use a little and I then spread it evenly onto my skin. It absorbs within seconds and feels silky and smooth. It does have a 'wet' feel to it but it doesn't feel greasy and it doesn't leave behind traces of grease or moisture on the skin either.

                **My Experience**
I only heard about this a few months ago, I had been suffering with particulary dry and itchy eczema which would leave behind blemishes that would take a while to heal and would also itch. My doctor couldn't prescribe me my usual treatment - steroid cream to help with the itchiness and inflammation as I am pregnant, so I decided to pop into my local Lush and ask one of their employees if they had anything suitable - i'm a regular Lush customer and to be honest they have such a huge range of products that I was pretty sure there'd be something that would help sort out my skin!

This is one of the best purchases that I have made. It is nothing short of a miracle in a pot! Because of my eczema, which is usually on my arms, I am usually left with sore, red skin, and I often have deep open sores on my arms that are painful and take a while to heal. I know it sounds gross, and I hate it, but eh nevermind! Anyway, I decided to use this cream to use when my eczema was at its worse. I usually want to scratch my skin off when my eczema flares up, however once I had dolloped this cream on, my skin felt instantly cooled down and it really relieved both the pain and the itchiness which is brilliant. It absorbed into my skin really fast meaning I could put a bandage on my arm straight after application without worrying that the bandage would rub off the cream.

Because of this cream, I didn't scratch my skin half as much as I would of without the cream and I therefor didn't get as many nasty sores or marks. I did however get a few small blemishes near my wrist that were unsightly! They were inflamed and painful and so I applied this cream onto them daily. It took around a week until they had lost the redness and didn't feel as sore, but the cream did definetly quicken up the process; wthout it, I think these marks would of been there for a month or two. As well as easing the itching, the cream also made my skin feel hydrated and soft, it eased any dryness and it didn't sting or burn when it was on the irritated skin which is a miracle as almost all creams hurt when put onto eczema.

Not only did this cream make my skin feel much better and less irritated, but it also put my mind at rest. I hate itching my skin as it can cause infections and leave ugly marks, but because of this cream I didn't itch it half as much and my eczema had cleared up within around 2 and a half weeks with daily use of this cream - it normally lingers for upto 2 months so this cream had a huge, positive effect!

                **My Overall Opinion**
I really love this cream, it is a brilliant product and I highly reccomend it.
