Advantages: Highlights well

Disadvantages: None

I like using highlighters when I wear makeup and had heard this particular Mac product spoken about online by beauty bloggers. I usually wear powder highlighters (with the exception of Benefit's High Beam) which I find easy to apply, but thought it might be good to try a new liquid highlighter as well to compare.

The Mac strobe cream is a white highlighter with a pearly pink tone to it, which is of relatively thin consistency. In order to apply you simply squeeze a very small amount out of the tube and then using my ringfinger I apply it to the tops of my cheekbones. It's important to ensure only a small amount is applied, a little goes a long way with this product and too much will make the effect a little bit too much! A small amount gives a nice dewy highlight which is subtlety noticeable when the light hits it. This gives a nice natural highlight, there isn't any glitter, only slight shimmer, so it doesn't give a disco ball effect!

In terms of longevity this highlighter does last a good amount of time, although I have noticed it can fade a little after a few hours, however it fades evenly so there doesn't end up with any patches being highlighted whilst others have worn away.

This product can only be purchased from a Mac store or the online Mac website, it costs £12.50 for a 50ml tube, which I think is quite good as this tube will last me years as only a tiny amount is needed! I would recommend trying this product if like me you are a little obsessed with cosmetics and highlighters in particular!

Summary: A lovely liquid highlighter
