This is just the thing to wake you up in the morning as it indeed is very refreshing.

It contains natural fruit extracts (lime and pineapple) which gives it a very distinctive fruity fragrance which isn’t too overpowering and is perfect for men or women.

The gel formula makes it a very light wash which doesn’t leave your skin feeling dried out or "tight" which is something that I have found with other facial washes.

I usually just use this in the morning to clean and refresh my skin before applying make-up but I sometimes use it at night as well to remove make-up when I can’t be bothered using cleanser.

As it is a light gel, it is not going to take off a heavy foundation but is pretty good at taking off a light make-up or tinted moisturiser. It is safe enough to use around the eyes to take off eye make-up but don’t expect it to remove stubborn or waterproof mascara.

Molton Brown have packaged the wash in an stylish,easy to use plastic pump bottle and one pump is more than enough to cleanse the whole face.

The gel can also be used by guys for shaving although I would imagine that you would need quite a lot of it to get a decent enough lather.

For someone who is can’t be bothered with cleansers or for those who don’t feel your skin is clean unless you have used water, then Refreshing Facial Wash might be a worthwhile purchase.

Oh yeah, it can also be used as an emergency shower gel by the rest of your family unless you hide it under the sink. Took me a while to figure out why it was only lasting a few months...
