      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Aloe Vera Face Spa, a nice fabric masque, it felt nice on my face and enjoyed using.

If you read my review regularly you will know I have a passion for face masques, it gives me that needed 'Me Time' and also a good treat for my face. My favourite brand is Montagne Jeunesse they have a great array of skin treats for both male and females. I would like to say thank you to the team at Montagne Jeunesse for sending me this masque to review.

      My Findings:

This masque is one of there fabric masque which I think are great if you don't fancy the hassle of removing a mud/peal off masque. My last experience with a masque like this was their Skin Tonic which really didn't agree with my skin so ever since then I have never purchased a fabric masque. However I'm really glad I was sent this to try as it was wonderful.

To start with as natural extracts can cause a reaction it is recommended that you apply some of the tonic to the inside of your upper arm. If a reaction does occur well then sadly this masque isn't for you, luckily for me I had no reaction so was able to put this masque to the test.

When pulling the cloth masque from the sachet it is extremely moist, I had to unfold then you can see how to place the masque on your face. There are pre-cut sections for your eyes, mouth and a flip for your nose so it still covers the top. Putting it on my face it was rather cool but a little odd at the same time. As the masque sat across my face it was light and wasn't uncomfortable in anyway, and it was so easy to just lie down and relax.

It recommend of the instructions to allow the masque to sit on your face for 5 to 10 minutes, I left mine on for 10 minutes and if I'm honest I didn't want to get up and remove it! The fabric seems to warm matching the temperature of my face, so it was feeling rather nice when the time was up. Personally I'm one that really enjoys my fruity scented items. This one being aloe vera and green tea normally wouldn't jump out at me when looking for a new masque to try.

While the masque is resting on your face it is recommended that you pat it down on your skin for maximum contact. This is so you can get the tonic from the masque onto your face, the masque is very soft so it doesn't feel rough in anyway while patting it down on my face. Although my skin looked fresh and glowingly clean how it actually felt was a different story.

A couple of minutes after removing the mask and the remaining tonic on my face had soaked in. I splashed my face with cool water and patted dry as recommended. My cheeks and my forehead had a tight feeling so I had to moisturise, however the rest of my face was fine and I didn't feel any other tightening. Despite how happy I was with the appearance of my skin after use, I just really didn't like how it made my skin feel tight.

      Price and Availability:

These masques cost £1.29 each and at the time of writing this review on the Montagne Jeunesse web site there are offering buy 4 for the price of 3. (Cheapest product being the free one) Also you get free delivery when you spend over £7.50. You can also purchase items from this brand from the likes of Asda, Superdrug and Bodycare.

      Overall:

To start with I found myself really liking and enjoying this masque however the after effects wasn't really to my liking. My face was certainly refreshed but also a tightened feeling that was mostly over my forehead and cheeks was a little off putting.

I would still recommend giving this masque a go as it does make a different in the appearance of my skin after use.

Three out of five stars from me

      Thanks for reading.
