      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A good masque but far better out there from this brand

      Face masque time! Yes I'm here with another review on a face masque, as you know from reading my reviews I simply adore them. My favourites brand are Montagne Jeunesse, they have a huge range of masques to suit all needs.

      Montagne Jeunesse - Tea Tree Face Spa:

      'Going out? Feeling down? Wake up your skin and senses with stimulating Tea Tree and cooling crushed Spearmint. They will energise and revive leaving skin clean, bright and fresh.'

      My Findings:

      This masque is from their fabric range, these are perfect if you don't have much time to spare or you're not a fan of mud masques. This option is fast but effective and no mess whatsoever.

      Suitable for Skin Type -

      * Sensitive
      * Combination
      * Oily
      * Dry
      * Mature
      * Normal

      To start with following instructions you need to remove make up and cleanse skin so skin is free from dirt/oil ect. Once face is cleansed remove the masque from the sachet, you will need to unfold the masque which is very easy done. I normally look in the mirror while I'm placing the masque over my face as I find it easier that way making sure all places are covered. However the masque is rather large.

      Once I'm happy I've placed it in the right position it is time to sit back and relax. It is suggested that you pat the masque down on your face for maximum contact. Leave the masque to work its magic for 5-10 minutes to cool and calm your skin. Personally I found the masque to have a slight cooling sensational which I'm guessing comes from the spearmint.

      While relaxing the fragrance of the masque is pleasant I can certainly smell the spearmint which is refreshing. But I personally like sweeter scent, however that's just me. The masque contains plenty of the tonic mixture and I could feel it all over my face. As the masque is resting on my face I rub the fabric over my face spreading out the mixture so I can obtain the full benefits. Which for me gave a slight cold tingling effect.

      I left the masque on for around 6 minutes, I was going to wait it out for 10 minutes but the cooling sensation was feeling more like stinging which I wasn't enjoying. When taking the masque off it was still very moist and I could feel the tonic still over my face. On the packet it recommends that you massage in an excess liquid, which I did but my face started to sting more. So I ended up rinsing my face several times with cool water. After a couple of rinses my face did not sting anymore. I patted dry with a soft cotton towel, when looking in the mirror at my face it look clean and fresh. However I could feel it getting tight and around my cheeks looking a little dried out. I used some vitamin E moisturiser and all was fine.

      Main Ingredients on how this masque works -

      Tea Tree - Is known to help remove grime, have healing properties and help remove excess oils to help leave skin cleansed.

      As you can see from the ingredient list below, there are many more ingredients within this masque, if you would like more details and a full ingredient glossary please see their web site.
      In keeping with the brand style, the packaging is bright and welcoming and themed to suit the masque itself; the sachet is easy to open. Packet is recyclable once empty

      Price and Availability:

      This masque at the moment is priced around the £1.29 mark, Boots have them on three for two and the Montagne Jeunesse web site are offering 3 for the price of 4.

      Overall:

      To be honest, this masque was just ok. I wasn't overly keen on the fragrance, but it did cleanse my face well. Doubt I will use this one again, as I get far better results from other masque from this brand. I didn't like how it dried my face out and the stinging feeling let it down for me.

      That said, my mom really likes this masque so I would still recommend this for people to try as it may suit their skin better than mine.

      Two out of five stars from me

      Thanks for reading.
