“ Brand: Montagne Jeunesse / Type: Face Mask / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types / What it does: Firms, „
Just lately I have been really under the weather, hit with a bug and unable to eat or drink, I have become rather dehydrated according to my Doctor. I came away from my Doctors appointment armed with a prescription for anti sickness, anti diarrohea and re-hydration drinks, that are being at this moment in time very little help with it all!
Being stuck in bed I have either been writing reviews, chatting on Facebook or ordering this from Amazon.co.uk. As I had made a bit of money on here over the past couple weeks I mooched about looking for things that may make me feel a bit better on Amazon and things to treat my skin with as it is rather blotchy at the moment and feeling really, really dried out. I bought a pack of two of these masks and they cost me £2.49 including postage and packing. Please note that these are Montagne Jeunesse Ultra Firming Face Masque but on the front of it, it is called 'Renew You'.
The two masks are one on top of the other and easy to perforate but they come as a whole packaging. On the front of the plastic packaging (they are silver on the inside of each pack) there is a black, white and turquoise colourscheme going on with a woman on the front of it and we are clearly told that they are 'Renew You', Face, Visage 'Ultra Firming 'Fusions Of Herbal Actives' and that the two masks contain 10ml each of the product and that it is an 'Anti-Ageing' face mask. On the back of the pack other information listed includes being told a bit about the product, the ingredients it contains (this is suitable for Vegetarians by the way), we are told how to use it and lots and lots of information is given in foreign languages and contact details for Montagne Jeunesse are clearly stated.
Using this is pretty simple and straightforward. You are told to cleanse your face first so I did that with a cleansing wipe and allowed my skin to dry completely first before applying it. I then opened up the face mask (simple to do as there is a nick to the side of it) and you are greeted with lots of white, smooth face mask. It isn't particularly thick in its consistency but it isn't runny or too difficult to deal with and one 10g pack of this is enough to cover the face (avoiding the eyes and lips) and most of the neck too. When on it doesn't feel heavy and it certainly doesn't agitate my eyes even though I do use this rather close to them. Smell wise this has a fragrance to it a bit Nivea cream, sort of light and soapy so I don't think males would mind using this if they wanted to either.
You are meant to leave this on for 10-15 minutes and we are told to do a sensitivity test for 5 minutes on the top of the arm prior to applying this on your face. I must admit I didn't do this as I'm usually fine with everything but it is advised. I left one of these on my face and neck for the full 15 minutes (hoping for optimum results!) and in that time it 'set' and felt firm but not uncomfortable though it did tighten on my skin and felt like it was doing something. I then was left to rinse it off with warm water and to pat my skin dry which to be fair was a bit messy, but hey most face masks are I find. You can then apply your moisturiser over the top if you want to, me I simply left my skin to breath and put nothing on after using this.
To the important bit! It was simple enough to use, not a complete nightmare to remove and I felt I was having a nice little pamper but that's no good if it doesn't fulfill its claims of course. This is advertised as an anti-aging product remember. It promises to be ultra-firming. On the back of the pack it promises 'Remarkable results, younger, softer & radiant looking skin, Imperfections disappear. Skin is protected from damage caused by today's environment' but it did? They are bold claims for two face masks that costs just under £1.50 a mask!!
I am completely shocked by this product.....but for all the right reasons I am happy to report (hence this long and lengthy review!). Its the sort of product you feel the need to rave about it! I'm so impressed I just put in a bulk order for more!
My face feels a little bit tight like it been over toned after using it however that does fade off after about an hour after using it but the results certainly do not. Not only does the skin feel and look firmer, skin tone is brightened, dry skin is gone, open pores look diminished, spots and blotches soothed and calmer. The anti aging promises are well and truly given. I have deep frown lines on my forehead and although I can't claim they vanished they were barely noticeable, because this brightened my skin remarkably well the bags under my eyes looked alot less and brighter as well as the little lines under my eyes (like my lines on my forehead) virtually gone. My skin felt smooth and hydrated, plumper in a way....this is just a superb facial treat and affordable at that!
I recommend anyone to try this of any age and of any gender. Not just to people worried about aging or lines or wrinkles but for anyone who wants their face just to appear healthier....I really cannot fault it!
Available in all good chemists or Google online if interested. As I mentioned earlier I bought mine in a twin pack from Amazon so if you want them from there I'd be very quick cos I'm stockpiling these all for me!
Montagne Jeunesse Ultra Firming Mask
I am a really really big fan of the montagne jeunesse products, the masks that I have tried are amazing. I bought this from amazon a few months ago and I think it was like £2.49 or something like that including postage and packing. it also comes in three sealed sections, so you have three masks.
It contains; coconut oil, shea butter, vitamin C, evening primrose oil, Vitamin B3, Vitamin E, Seaweed extract and other plant extacts. It does contain some chemicals but we all can't afford Lush products everyday (although that would be great)!
It says that you should apply it before you go to bed and then while you sleep it is supposed to vanish and get absorbed in to you skin. I have used one of the sachets without letting it absorb while I sleep and one where I just use it like a normal mask (Putting it on, letting most of it absorb, but washing on some of the excess). I have found on difference really in my skin when using it overnight and when using it like a normal mask. But the overnight wait would be better for your skin as it gets to absorb all of the mask.
It left my skin really smooth, softer and really quite moisturized when leaving it over night and when washing off the excess. In my opinion it did firm my skin but only very slightly the first time I used this then the second time it was a bit more firmer, so in my opinion it does work.
*Easy to apply
*Smells ok - a little bit like cucumber (organic)
*you get 3x5ml sachets and one sachet is enough for my face
*Left my skin soft, moisturized and slightly firmer - but with continued use I think it would firm my skin more
*Cheap and it is available from amazon and it maybe available from asda but I'm not sure
*I would not really use this while I sleep as it went on my pillow a bit and it could go in my hair, so I would just exfoliate, then apply the mask, then leave it on for as long as you can during the day or something
*Contains quite a lot of natural ingredients
*A great brand that it approved by the vegetarian society and it is against animal testing
Thank you for reading my review
