Advantages: Easy to use, Left skin feeling great, I liked the smell.
Disadvantages: A little too sickly sweet for some.
I purchased mine on offer from Home Bargains. They are currently selling these masks at 3 for £2.00 which I think is a fantastic price as the mask works out at around 67p which is a great saving. I have seen these also in Superdrug, Boots and some supermarkets for a little more but they tend to be around £1.00 which I think is a great and affordable price for a treat to your skin.
I normally opt for fruity scented face masks or quite fresh scents such as cucumber. I always avoided the chocolate range as I thought it would just be too heavy and sickly to my taste. The only reason I actually picked this up was because it was on offer and thought it would be worth a try. Turns out that I was just about to be pleasantly surprised with this one...
When I opened up the sachet, I had a sniff of the product. It did smell exactly like white chocolate, but it was not too sweet or sickly. I was worried that the scent would be too heavy and that I would not find it suitable to put on to my face. Although it did smell of chocolate, it was actually quite a pleasant and not overpowering scent. The face mask itself is completely white in colour and dries white too.
Applying this was extremely easy. The mask itself is quite thick in consistency, and the sachet contains plenty. I don't like to apply it to my neck, so I found that there was plenty in the sachet and I even had some left over. The smell was lovely when applying, and I like to squeeze the mask from the sachet on to my hands and then apply directly to the face. I made sure to cover the whole face whilst avoiding the eye area, lip area and hairline. Using this was really simple, and I just had to wash my hands after application as it was a little messy.
Then all you are required to do is sit back, put your feet up and relax. This is my favourite bit of using face masks, where you can just let it do its job. After around ten minutes, my face really started to tighten and get firmer. I love this feeling, especially on my usually oily skin. It was really relaxing and enjoyable to use. If interested, the ingredients of this mask are almond, cream, shea butter, cocoa butter and jojoba. They are all natural ingredients and kind to skin, as well as combining to create the lovely scent.
It says to leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes, but I did not feel that mine had dried in this time. I left mine on more like 20-25 minutes to ensure it had really tightened the skin well. I then rinsed off the mask with warm water. This process was fairly simple and not at all messy which I was quite happy with. I then just patted my face dry with a towel to reveal the true results.
I noticed that my skin felt much smoother and looked a lot healthier. These masks are a really fantastic treatment to use on skin as the results are just fabulous. I couldn't believe how much better and healthier my skin managed to look. I was really impressed with the results on my oily skin so I would definitely recommend this for people who also have oily combination skin. The mask does state that it is suitable for all skin types which is great as it means that it appeals to everyone.
Overall, I was really impressed with this white chocolate face mask from Montagne Jeunesse. It smells good enough to eat and leaves the skin looking and feeling wonderful. I will be awarding this mask four stars as I think it is of a high quality, but I will knock one star off as I know that the scent might be just a little too sickly sweet for some people. Thanks for reading and hope this helps.
Summary: I liked this face mask.
