Neutrogena face wipes in my opinion are the very best on the market. I have tried numerous others including Garnier, Johnsons, Nivia Vasage, Nivia, Sainsbury's, Asda and Tesco's own brand, and many more that I cannot remember. I always go back to these wipes. They smell beautiful and really do rehydrate the skin. You can get away without using a moisturiser whislt using these wipes.
The reason for number one rating is they stay moist. Last year I bought 10 packs as they were on offer at Tesco and from the first to the last they stayed fresh and moist. Even once the pack is opened they stay fresh. They do not dry out the skin as do some of the wipes, especially those which contain alcohol.
They do not suit all skin types however, as my daughter has greasy skin and is 19 so she needs one which does contain an astringent to close the pores. I would recommend neutrogena in the orange pack, she loves these and they are her favourite brand.
I would recommend these to anyone and would be pleased to hear comments.
Sometimes when I go shopping I'm more than aware I simply buy things for the sake of it. I'm quite silly in that respect and don't seem to like money in my purse for long at all! I simply can't bear to go into shops and come out empty handed it just seems, so wrong somehow lol.
Some days like alot of us though I see nothing suitable for me and that's when I go into places like Superdrug and Boots and end up buying stuff I really have no use for. However at the time I'm parting with my cash of course it seems like a grand idea! I bought these although at the moment I have 6 packets of make up wipes tucked away in my bedside cabinet. I bought them even though I'm not even keen on make up removing wipes and actually prefer the deep down clean feel of a separate cleanser and toner as a rule. However I do like packets of this type of product for ease of use and quickness and for nights I have double vision after being out on the lash!
White, plastic and square in shape with a matching pull open/close label of which you get a wipe out of. On that in dark blue, red and white writing I'm told they are Norwegian Formula 'Facial', Hydrating Cleansing Wipes For Dry And Sensitive Skin that 'Effectively cleanses and removes make-up, even waterproof mascara. Softens and moisturises skin for 12 hours'. I'm then told towards the bottom of the packet that they are Neutrogena and Dermatologist Tested. On the back of the packet all in black writing I'm told a bit about the product (and then told that in lots of different languages), ingredients are listed, contact details for Neutrogena are given, then the recycle symbol and bar-code are displayed and finally I'm told the pack contains 25 wipes. All in all it's a no nonsense packet of wipes. Nothing special but does have a look of functionality about it.
A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Packet....
New Neutrogena Norwegian Facial Hydrating Cleansing Wipes gently remove all traces of oil and make-up, even waterproof mascara. The wipes intensively replenish skin to give it a long lasting moisturisation, without leaving a greasy after-feel. Skin is left clean, soft, fresh and healthy looking. Gentle formula is suitable for all skin types, even for the most dry and sensitive skin. Dermatologist and Opthalmogist tested.
The Wipes Themselves....
Well they about the size of your face only square! White cotton in appearance, they aren't really thick but not to thin or anything either. They are easy to pull out one at a time from the packet and to the touch don't feel all that moist but are soft and slightly cold.
However on contact with the face and neck you can feel the softness of the wipe infused with what feels like rather an oily type of lotion. It easily lifts off grease, grime and make up without any issues at all. They don't struggle with anything make-up wise although I do find to be absolutely sure that skin is really clean I personally use a wipe to clean with and then another wipe just to wipe over to be sure. The wet feeling of the wipe does sink into skin and you are left with slightly tighter feeling skin than before you used a wipe and the skin really does feel moist and hydrated from within after using this product. Yes they work on every level leaving a nice delicate sort of flowery smell behind them that leaves the skin smelling and feeling clean.
However These really are for dry skin. If you have a greasy t-zone and are prone to spots (like me) these do (in my case) aggravate them. Yes Neutrogena say they are suitable for sensitive skins but I disagree with that a bit. I also noticed that if you have fine hair growth on the face this encourages it totally! I wouldn't say I became a hairy Mary but it did look worse after a week or two of using these so I stopped!
Simple, clean and effective for dried out prune faces...these really are. They remove make up simply (including waterproof mascara with ease and no harsh rubbing required) and leave skin soft though do be prepared for losing dry, flaky skin and saying hello to spots and a beard...possibly! lmao.
