The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil Free Moisturiser is available for GBP 4.19.
The moisturiser is described as follows. "Neutrogena Visibly Clear® Oil Free Moisturiser is a light-weight moisturiser which absorbs easily to provide long-lasting hydration without clogging pores. The unique formula evens out skin tone and contains powerful MICROCLEAR® technology to help reduce and prevent spots. Skin is left soft, even and visibly clearer."
I use this cream now for months. Every morning I cream me so. The cream is white and firmer than, for example, hand cream. The aroma is very pleasant and easy, maybe a little flowery. The cream absorbs quickly and leaves the skin soft and supple, it can be seen not leave a film or shine. The most important thing is the effect. At the very first application I felt the cream worked. The skin was chilled and tingled slightly, as if it is cleaned. Since I am very convinced of, because no more pimples, certainly through the coordinated product care series. And while the cream can very well disappear the pimples, it supplies the skin with moisture very rich, which is another plus point. The moisturiser leaves the skin look clear and fresh. It is also very economical, this is my first tube and I have certainly already four months now it is almost all. I must say I am delighted with this cream. I could first really hard to believe that a cream alone can improve the complexion. But I must admit, the promise is respected here.
I have used Neutrogena Visibly Clear moisturiser for a couple of years now. I have problem skin that has break outs but can also be quite dry at times. I have eczema and so my skin is often sensitive to moisturising products. I have found that this moisturiser really suits me and has helped to sort out my skin problems.
The product comes in a slim tube packaged in a card box, with distinctive orange and white block colouring that makes it easy to pick out on the shelf. It is widely available in shops, and often on offer with other skin products at Boots or Surperdrug. I stock up when these offers are on! It is cheaper than many other moisturisers.
Neutrogena Visibly Clear moisturiser is a white cream. On application it has a really pleasant, light texture. It doesn't feel at all heavy or greasy. A small amount goes a long way, I find. One of the things I really like about the product is that it has a clear, fresh fragrance. It is not heavily perfumed like other moisturisers can be. It also leaves your skin with a lovely fresh, clean and almost tingly feeling - this must be due to something in the product that gives a slightly menthol-like effect.
The moisturiser provides a nice smooth base for applying make-up, ensuring even coverage. It claims to even out your skin tone - I'm not sure about this, but it certainly does help to calm the skin if you have a breakout. I find the product helps to keep my skin on an even keel, not too greasy or too dry. At times when my skin is slightly drier (such as in winter) I will sometimes use this as a base and apply a slightly richer moisturiser on top.
This has definitely become my go-to moisturising product. My only complaint is that the sealed tube can make it hard to tell how much is left, and it always feels as though you can't get the last bit out.
When I first bought the Neutrogena visibly clear oil free moisturizer my skin was going through a very bad patch. I had a severe acne attack on my chin and forehead area. My GP advised me to use an ointment that, ended up over drying my skin. I had dried out spots on my skin and a lot of the areas of my skin were cracking and peeling off. Covering my face with a foundation was impossible as well, because my dry skin was not cooperating at all and the foundation just would not stay on my skin. So it was either look for help for my skin or walk around wearing a paper bag around my head!
My skin is naturally very oily. I had never needed a moisturizer before. I was not definitely buying a moisturizer with oil in it ,as it would have just made my break out worse,so I decided to give the Neutrogena visibly clear oil free moisturizer a go.
****PRICE AND AVAILABILITY****
The Neutrogena oil free moisturizer is widely available in most stores like Boots, Tesco, Asda, Super drug etc. It's retail price is £4.69. But If you shop around you can always get it on a bargain in one store or the other. I usually buy this from Boots when they do their 3 for 2 on skin products.
The Neutrogenia oil free moisturizer comes in a rectangular box with the trademark Orange and white theme of the Neutrogena's visibly clear Line of skin care products. You can find a lot of information about the moisturizer just by reading the box. Inside the box there is a smart looking tube that contains 50 ml of the moisturizer. The tube has a rectangular white, screw-on cap. The cap enables the tube to stand upright on your dresser or shelf.
***LOOK,FEEL AND SMELL OF THE MOISTURIZER****
The moisturizer tube looks very cute and smart. It is slim enough to slip it in to your bag and carry it around with you. The moisturizer itself is white in color and has a medium, well balanced consistency. It is very smooth and easy to apply. You only need a small quantity of it to use it all over your face. It has a very nice and soft fragrance. I don't like skin care products that have a lot of perfume in them, as I think they can harm the skin. The soft fragrance of the Neutrogena oil free moisturizer is perfect and makes me feel refreshed and pampered after use. After using the moisturizer, the skin feels hydrated and soft. The moisturizer does not leave any residue, moisture or oil on the skin. It gives a Matt finish, leaving my skin hydrated and soft. The fact that it is oil free makes it perfect for my skin as it hydrates the skin but does not make it oily. I use the moisturizer by itself or as a base for my foundation.
****WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE NEUTROGENA OIL FREE MOISTURIZER****
The moment I tried the Neutrogena oil free moisturizer I feel in love it with straight away. At that moment I had a a very bad break out, with pimples and spots all over my face. The moisturizer helped me a lot to go through that problematic phase of my skin.It hydrated and soothed my skin, without making it oily.I also used it as a base for my foundation. My acne treatment had made my skin very dry and flaky and no foundation would stay on my face at all. The moisturizer really helped me with this problem a lot. All I needed to do was to apply this on my face, give it two minutes to settle down on my skin and then apply my foundation over it. The moisturizer helped me hydrate my skin and also helped in calming down the blemishes. Even now when my skin has recovered from the break out and is perfectly healthy, the Neutrogena moisturizer is a part of my daily skin care regime. I really love using it.
One good thing about the moisturizer is its slim and smart tube. It is very light wait and is very easy to carry around with me in my bag, when I am out and about. The design of the tube, with its screw on rectangular cap is very convenient.
The texture and consistency of the moisturizer is perfect for my skin. It is really light but not runny. It is very easy to apply it on my face and my skin absorbs it quickly. After applying the moisturizer my skin does not feel heavy or uncomfortable. It does not give the greasy, heavy feeling that a lot of moisturizers have a tendency of giving. On the contrary it makes the skin feel fresh and pampered. Even with oily skin such as mine the moisturizer gives a Matt and smooth finish. That is because the moisturizer is totally oil free and is designed for problem skin. I love the light fragrance of the moisturizer as well.
The packaging of the moisturizer claims that it gives even skin tone . I am not very sure if it has actually helped me in evening out my skin tone, as I have been using this moisturizer with a combination of other skin care products. But the over all health and look of my skin has definitely improved. The most lovable factor about this moisturizer for me is that it did not make my break out worse,on the contrary it helped me in clearing out my pimples and spots.
I only need a small amount of the moisturizer to cover all my face. I use the moisturizer twice daily and the the 50 ml tube lasts for a month and half for me, which I think is very good.
Th Neutrogena visible pure oil free moisturizer is a part of my daily skin care regime.I love every thing about it. It's oil free nature and blemish control formula makes it perfect for my skin type. So there is nothing I dislike about it.
I love the Neutrogena visible clear oil free moisturizer. It is perfect for oily to normal skin. And I recommend it highly to any one having a blemish prone skin. It is perfect for daily use and good for all almost skin types. Although I feel that if you have exceptionally dry skin you might need to try something a bit heavier.
***MY RATING FOR THE NEUTROGENA VISIBLY CLEAR OIL FREE MOISTURIZER IS 5 OUT OF 5***
***********THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR READING MY REVIEW***********
I have recently had a skin care overhaul, in a bid to improve my skin allowing me to wear less foundation. I have combination skin and usually just wash and moisturise my face. My last moisturiser I used was very thick and felt it blocked my pores making my skin worse so needed something a bit lighter for my skin.
I came across the 'visibly clear' by Neutrogena and after being pleased with the face scrub (see previous review), I decided to purchase the 'oil free' moisturiser.
This was £4.79 from Boots for 50ml. It comes in a box with the distinctive orange and grey Neutrogena packaging. Inside the box is a slim bottle with a square lid, which makes it easy to stand up on your bathroom shelf.
I use this moisturiser twice daily after cleansing and toning (now I tone!), morning and evening. The cream itself is white and has a very light pleasant fragrance to it. A sweet fresh fragrance. This moisturiser is oil free, and gives a 'matte' finish to your skin. When applying the moisturiser I only need a small amount, about the size of a 20p, a little goes a long way. It feels very light on the skin, and in no way heavy or greasy. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed, clean and soft to touch. It moisturises my dry parts well, but doesn't cause the oily parts of my face to become more oily (if that makes sense), or any outbreaks.
This provides a nice even finish, and is a good base for make up. I have been using this now for 3 weeks, in conjunction with the face scrub, and toner, and love it. My skin looks much healthier and fresher. I felt it was a bit 'dull' looking before, but was using a very heavy moisturiser. This moisturiser suits my skin very well. I am very pleased with the results and still have 3/4 of the bottle left. This is excellent value for money and I will be repurchasing this when I finish it.
Ever since the onset of puberty I have always had blemish prone skin. For years I have covered up the unsightly spots with foundation or concealer. Recently, I have come to the conclusion that I have had enough and I want to be able to go out without wearing a full face of base! So I have really been waging war on my troubled skin by trying to find effective skincare products.
I believe that whilst it is worth investing in cleansers and serums when it comes to moisturiser there tends to be little difference between high end brands and low end - as long as it doesn't break me out and keeps my skin plump and hydrated I'm happy! Therefore, when browsing Boots and I saw there was a 2 for £5 on Neutrogena I decided to give this oil free moisturiser a shot.
It comes in a plastic tube in the instantly recognisable white and orange packaging which is simple but appealing. This moisturiser claims that it "hydrates, smoothes and evens out skin tone for clearer and healthy looking skin everyday". Sounds pretty good, let's see if it lives up to those mighty claims!
After cleansing and toning I applied the moisturiser and my first impressions were that it is a rather thick consistency and has a fresh pleasant smell. I found out very quickly that you only need to use a little bit of product as a little goes the long way as it is so rich and creamy. Once I have covered my face in the cream and massaged it in a little bit my skin feels really nice and tingly - in a good way! It is hard to explain but it feels as if my skin is being gently plumped! My skin feels fresh and moisturised - it is such a lovely feeling!
Ever since I have begun using the moisturiser I have noticed that my skin is lovely and hydrated when I wake up and my blemishes appear less red and inflamed. I am happy that it doesn't break me out whilst still giving me that intense hydration that richer heavier creams do. My skin is more uniform in appearance and even in its surface.
This is an everyday moisturiser but I only use it at night as it doesn't contain spf so it won't protect my skin from harmful UVA and UVB damage when out and about. I love using this at night because even though it costs under a fiver it feels rich and luxurious without being greasy - a perfect ritual to end the day with. I also prefer using it at night because it takes a little while to sink into skin which would mean I would have to wait around before applying my foundation if I were to use it in the morning.
At the time of writing this moisturiser is available from Boots for £4.60 for 50ml which I think is really great value. Overall I will definitely be purchasing this moisturiser again as it lives up to most of its claims and I really like using it as a part of my night care skin routine because it is a pleasure to use.
I have both sensitive and acne prone skin so have always found it necessary to buy expensive moisturizers, and even then have not always had success.
Just before Christmas I did not have the usual £30 to buy my moisturizer so decided to try a cheaper one. This one jumped out at me as I have used the Visibly Clear range in the past and it has never upset my skin. Also the more expensive moisturizer was also "oil free". I got it for just £4.25.
So far this bottle has been lasting me really well. The bottle is a good size for the price - 50ml - and a small amount goes a long way. As soon as I felt the lotion I noticed that it wasn't too greasy, and it absorbed into the skin really well. It helped to relieve tightness and actually felt moisturizing. The only thing I would say is that the flattened tube shape of the bottle means that the last bits of product may be difficult to get out - but I find that to be the case with many things, and as this bottle is plastic it will at least be possible to cut it open to get out the remains.
So far the moisturizer hasn't upset my skin at all, and although I don't know whether it has actively reduced my spots it certainly hasn't aggravated them which is the same as I had achieved with the more expensive moisturizer.
For the price this moisturizer really is brilliant - it's perfectly oil free, smells quite fresh, is in ideal packaging, and isn't irritating. I will definitely carry on using this product rather than anything more expensive.
I would recommend this product for anyone with combination or acne prone skine.
I'd never really bought anything from Neutrogena before, because I usually stick to Boots own brands as I don't think it makes a huge difference really. However, I thought I'd give this a go when it was on offer because my sister reckons it's amazing.
It costs around £3.79 for 50ml, from Boots. It is available elsewhere too, for a similar price. Sometimes they're on offer, 3 for 2 at Boots. This only really helps though if you would've bought the other two prodcuts anyway, but if that is the case, it does make it good value.
The moisturiser comes in a box, which I would say is unnecessary, but for that it helps the moisturiser stand upright on the shelf in the shop! This is important because the tube is quite tall and wide, but not very deep, and therefore not well-balanced at all. This is annoying.
The tube looks quite clinical: it is orange and silver, like the box, and it stands on its translucent screw-top lid.
The moisturiser claims, unsurprisingly, to moisturise skin and keep it soft and smooth, and it also promises to help prevent blemishes.
I use mine twice a day, and it really does work. It moisturises, keeping my skin lovely and soft. I also seem to have fewer blemishes and my skin looks more even. It doesn't really smell of anything.
My only realy issue is the fact that it falls over a lot, and it's hard to get the last little bits out of the tube. On the whole though, this stuff is great and I would recommend it highly.
I really like this moisturiser, it does everything it says on the packet. I have quite troublesome skin, I can't remember the last time I didn't have a single spot! So getting the right skin care is really important to me. I splash out a fair amount of money on my make up and my face wash so I really wanted to find a good moisturiser which didn't break the bank.
I bought the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Moisturiser in Boots because I had used Neutrogena products before and was attracted by the cheap price tag. At £3.79 it was a real bargain! It's quite a small tube (50ml), but you only need a very small amount so it lasts quite along time.
As soon as I used it for the first time I knew I liked it. It went onto my skin really smoothly and blended in quickly. Although my skin took slightly longer to absorb the moisture than some brands I was left with a smooth, oil-free complexion. It provides a really good base for my foundation which now goes on really smoothly.
I use it every morning and evening and I noticed a difference in my skin after about a week. At the same time as buying the moisturiser I bought Molton Brown's Skinfresh Facial Wash. At £20 it's quite pricey, but it really is brilliant (see my review for this). As the moisturiser is so cheap I think they balance each other out! If you have oily skin I highly recommend both these products.
Tip: I read in a magazine ages ago that you can help fight off wrinkles by massaging your moisturising in with an upwards motion (never downwards). I don't know if this is true, but I do it everyday just in case!
My skin has usually been quite normal, with the odd spot here and there before periods. However, after Christmas I seem to have had an outbreak of spots and have been using and buying anything to make them disappear. Until I stumbled upon this little thing. Neutrogena is usually quite good with their products anyways, but this little moisturizer smells amazing. It smells like cucumber, and has a tangy little hint to it. It is amazing to wear in the morning before you put on your make up or do your usual daily activities because you can smell the cucumber. I have currently been using Clinique's moisturizer in the morning, but I feel that this one is good for the price. Not only does it make my skin smell delicious it helps moisturize my spots. As mentioned before, the outbreak on my skin has been horrible, therefore I have used a vast amount of products such as; toner, spot cream, face wash and so forth everyday. Topping it off with this moisturizer is amazing. Definitely not as good as Clinique, but I'm a student therefore for what I am paying it is definitely worth it.
I saw this product on special in Superdrug, it was on two for £5. So I brought it and gave it a try.
The product is in an orange and grey box, so it tends to stand out in the shops. When you open the box there is a 50ml tube of the moisturiser. Although it sounds small, you can get a lot of use. I use it twice a day and the tube will last me a couple of months.
The moisturiser is well suited for anyone with oily skin. As soon as I started to use it I noticed a massive reduction in the amount of oil on my skin. After each use it left my skin feeling really soft and refreshed. It also absorbed into my skin quite quickly. The product is also designed to hydrate, smooth and even out skin tone and will leave you with clearer and healthy looking skin. For me it really did exactly what it said and I am thrilled with the results.
To apply this product you should just put a small amount in your hand and evenly spread all around your face. For best results you should use twice a day. As someone who always uses makeup, I find its fine to use foundation ect, a few minutes after using this moisturiser.
I really would recommend this moisturiser to anyone with oily skin as it does a really great job.
Neutrogena Visably Clear is now the only moisturiser I use. My skin was a right pain because if I didnt scrub my face everyday it went dry and flaky so I washed and moisturised it everyday which made it REALLY oily. I was in a bit a lose lose situation. I then saw this range on half price in Superdrug so i decided to try it.
This is now my favourite range because it is brilliant. I can not live with out it, i can now wash and exfoliate my face everyday without the worry of the moisturiser making it worse.
It is really light unlike some that feel quite thick like they are going to clog up your pores, it is also absorbed quickly and does not leave you with that sticky feeling after using it. Because it is light my skin is now clearer with less spots and blemishes and it made my skin feel lovely and soft. It is the perfect moisturiser to wear under foundation because it help the drier areas and keeps my T zone oil free! It does last a while because you only need a little bit but my only bad comment is that the tube could be a bit bigger.
I have been using Neutrogena Visibly Clear for about three years now, from when I was 18. Before this I had tried everyother kind of acne solution on the market, including all of the home remedies and Visibly Clear is the only one I would recommend. Although I still get a flare up of a few spots once every two/three weeks, I no longer have severe acne. I seriously cannot recommend this product enough. If I dont put it on for a day I come out in spots. Unlike other treatments, it does not stain clothes, it does not smell, you do not have to wait for it to sink into your skin and it lasts a long time. It's well priced and very soft on your skin. The one thing it doesn't do which other treatments claim to do is to remove scarring/redness on the skin. Although I'm male I counter this by applying a small amount of concealer per day. By using Visibly Clear and wearing concealer you will no longer have any acne worries on your face.
~*~ Neutrogena Moisturiser ~*~
My skin is a bit of a nightmare to control. It goes through stages of being dry, oily and (unfortunately!) spotty, and it's something I don't think I'm ever going to grow out of! I therefore have to be very careful with the facial skincare that I use, and have always found Neutrogena products to be good for my skin, and have never had any problems with them causing breakouts, which is probably one of the first things I look for in a moisturiser!
~*~ The neutrogena range ~*~
Neutrogena have over 25 years of experience producing skin care products and 'solutions'. Their range has been specially developed to be kind and gentle to the skin whilst solving every day problems such as dryness, acne and oily skin.
The range includes moisturisers, face washes and exfoliants as well as gels and creams designed to eradicate spots.
~*~ The moisturiser ~*~
This moisturiser claims to be able to help skin look clearer and cleaner from the first day of use. It is oil-free and contains a gentle, medicated ingredient which works to reduce and prevent breakouts whilst leaving skin smooth and clear.
The moisturiser is quite light and feels quite wet on first application. It applies to the skin easily and leaves it feeling clean and refreshed. It doesn't, however, absorb into the skin instantly like some more premium moisturisers do, and I find that I need to leave this moisturiser slightly longer to sink in before applying make up than with other brands.
The product is not scented (which I assume is part of it being for sensitive skin). I have used this product a number of times - I've gone through several tubes - and it has always been very kind to my skin. Some moisturisers leave you feeling greasy, and this is definitely not one of them.
~*~ The price ~*~
This product is sold in most chemists and expected stockists such as Boots and Superdrug, and also in some supermarkets. You often find the moisturiser on special offer - Asda recently had it on offer in '2 for £5' along with other products from the Neutrogena range.
50ml of this product will set you back £3.67 at Boots and Superdrug at the moment, which is pretty good going for a moisturiser.
~*~ The verdict ~*~
I am a big fan of Neutrogena and use their cleansers and face washes regularly. However, I am a bit of a cosmetics snob and like to see something a bit more luxurious in my make up bag. The bright orange and silver package definitely screams 'budget' in my eyes, and doesn't look very sexy, which is the first thing that puts me off. The second is the fact that it doesn't contain SPF, which I was very surprised at. Sun protection is something I see as essential in facial skin care, and this puts this product at a big disadvantage to me.
As far as positives go, this product is very cheap, and does definitely get the job done. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it will improve your skin, but it definitely wont do it any harm giving it a go. I would definitely reccommend this product to anyone with sensitive skin looking for a good quality, lower priced moisturiser. If it contained a good sun protection factor, I don't think I would switch from this brand!
I was so pleased when I discovered Neutrogena Visibly Clear Moisturiser.
My skin has a tendency to be quite oily, but also gets a little bit tight and dry around my mouth and across my cheeks. So I need to use moisturiser every day really to make my skin feel comfortable. The problem is that nearly every other moisturiser I have tried, even moisturiser that is supposed to be specifically for oily or combination skin, has taken ages to sink into my skin and has left my face feeling like it is coated with a layer of grease.
From the first time I used Neutrogena visibly clear I knew that it suited my skin perfectly. As you rub it in it makes your skin feel all fresh and tingly, and within a few minutes it has been completely absorbed into your skin, leaving it comfortable and perfectly smooth. It contains Salicylic acid (the active ingredient in aspirin) which is also used in wart treatements etc as it has an exfoliating effect on dead skin cells, so it helps to prevent and treat break-outs of spots.
Because it makes your skin so smooth it is the perfect base for make-up, as foundation just glides on over the top. I have never found a cream that has made me able to do this before!
I have also found another unusual use for it - I have very rough, dry lips and for some reason if I rub some visibly clear moisturiser into them it stops them being sore, moisturises them and makes them really smooth too! I have done this with other moisturisers, which I would have expected to be better as they were greasier, but only visibly clear really seems to heal my lips. Which is great!
I have only recently used this product as I bought the visibly clear facial wash a month or so ago, and it has improved my acne quite a bit, so thought I would try the moisturiser to go along with it.
It is quite expensive compared to normal moisturisers but then it does contain more spot fighting ingredients so the price is worth it at £4.50. It claims to prevent breakouts and its oil free, which is a bonus, as a lot of the oils in mosturisers clog pores even more.
When i used this moisturiser it feels really refeshing on your skin, and has a cooling sensation to it. It absorbs quickly into the skin, as its like a gel, but skin still feels moisturised and supple.
After using this for about a week, my skin had reduced in redness from my spots and the spots have begun to disappear. I would recommend this moisturiser because it does what it says on the tin!
