My spots are still annoying me and every other cleanser I have tried did about zilch. So after finishing off my garnier wash, I looked around on boots for something that might actually WORK.

This was in the offers section and as I wasn't sure about neutrogena wave I got this for about £2.60 down from £3.99. I have tried neutrogena before- their 2 in 1 face mask/wash was quite good- so I thought this would be worth a try.

You get a large bottle (I think it's 200ml) of green runny liquid promising to clean deep, get rid of excess oil and help get rid of spots with cucumber and tea tree, which I know helps fight spots, and the cucumber meant it smelt quite nice. All you have to do is put some onto cotton wool and wipe your face. So I did just that the same night and waited for it to do its magic.

I woke up with a clearer forehead (YAY!) but the skin on my cheeks and near my temples fell weirdly itchy. In the mirror I saw the skin was flaking and really red. My skin has never been dry, always combination or oily never ever dry so my normal moisturiser just didn't calm it down (body shop) but the new neutrogena lotion did (I can't remember the name, the one that goes down 10 layers of your skin) which was quite ironic.

That night I just applied the lotion to my forehead, used amie cleansing lotion for the rest of my face and it hadn't irritated my forehead and my skin was just about back to normal.

I don't really like this but it WORKS! yes it's a hassle using 2 products every night and the reaction wasn't nice but I will still try other neutrogena products. Because I only need to use it on a small area this bottle will last me ages so it works out really cheap. It cleans, works on spots but didn't strip my forehead of moisture making it more oily. And the fact it doesn't smell like paint stripper as a certain avon cleansing lotion did is a plus.
