I read an article about this in the daily mail and instantly went down to my local Boots store to get myself some!
It was the best decision I have ever made! As a 26 year old female I am now at the stage where I am noticing little lines on my skin- not many but it's just not as good as it was at 18! This little miracle is now on my beauty regime every day!
At first I was very sceptical- how could something that's cost effective be so good when previously you had to pay hundreds of pounds for Botox.
The first time I used it- it took ages to get the cream out- that's my only criticism about this products- it can be difficult to get the cream out.
My skin tingles when I first apply the cream- which I take as it working. After a month of using this I can see a difference on my brow and around my eyes and I will continue to use this for the foreseeable future. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking a good product at a good price! My skin tingles when I first apply the cream- which I take as it working. I hadn't heard of this until my sister in law told me that she'd tried the Nip and Fab Frown Fix and thought that it worked wonders for her. Now, I have to admit that my skin is pretty good and for a 38 year old I really haven't had to particularly worry about laughter lines and crows feet as of yet, but everyone has a few lines and so I thought I might as well try it as she rated it so highly. It cost me £9.15 from Amazon which for a skin care product did not seem overly expensive and if it worked then it was obviously well worth spending under a tenner to look a little younger and a little bit more beautiful!
The idea of the Nip and Fab Frown Fix is that you apply it to wrinkled and lined areas in order to "fill" those areas so that the lines are effectively smoother out and irradicated and, at the same time, hydrates and moisturises your face to improve the overall health and vitality of the skin. That's the theory anyway! The product comes in an applicator which is in the style of a pen with a fine brush at the end in order to apply the lotion to the specific area of skin that you wish. Applying it is very easy and simply involves removing the lid, twisting the nozzle at the top of the pen and then brushing the lotion on your face in the areas you want it. It absorbs very quickly and is non-irritating to the skin and so this was all positive.
However, I have to say that I was quite disappointed and let down by the results of the Nip and Fab Frown Fix. As I said, I don't have many lines and the lines I do have are pretty fine - and so I did expect it to have quite a good effect considering the fact that it didn't have that much to do! While my sister in law (who is a bit more wrinkled......sshhhh i didn't say that!) says it works wonders for her, I found that it didn't really have any effect on the lines on my face at all. The lines were still there, they were still fine, and they didn't seem to be any finer than they had before the application.
I'm in two minds whether to recommend this product or not - as I've said, my sister in law thinks it's wonderful, but I think I can only speak as I find and for me, it really didn't do anything. I cannot recommend.
I read an article on the Daily Mail website and heard that The Only Way is Essex gang were raving about this product...(not that I aspire to be like any of them...im just a sucker for anything that claims to turn back the years...who isnt?!). Like most anti ageing products, it claimed to have dramatic effects...so i thought, why not?!
I bought a 4ml pen from the boots website which cost me £10.25. At the time, i thought that was an ok price...but when it arrived, i realised how little 4ml's actually is. It came in a huge box, which in comparison to the actual item was a waste of cardboard!!
The applicator pen looks a bit like a thick felt pen. It has a lid which is to be pulled off which reveals a smooth brush applicator. All you do, is simply click the pen and the fluid comes out. The substance of the fluid is simular to watery milk. As soon as i used it, i thought, this isnt going to do much!!
The liquid seemed sticky to me, which wasnt very nice when applied to my skin.
This is how the website describes the product;
"Wrinkles and expression lines will be no more with this revolutionary instant line filler! The concentrated formula plumps + smoothes the appearance of expression lines, fine lines + wrinkles; hydrating + moisturising skin to leave your face smooth + instantly younger. Conveniently sized to fit into even the smallest of handbags, make sure you always have Frown Fix with you for your plumping fix on-the-go!"
*amino acids smooth + minimise the look of expression lines
*purslane extract hydrates + diminishes the appearance of wrinkles
*centella extract fine lines appear visibly reduced
These claims may be true...but in my opinion, all they have done is mixed a bit of sugar and a few other things together which has created something to fill wrinkles...temporarily!!! Yes, it may do what it says...but lets be honest, constant reapplication through the day, using a 4ml pen isnt going to last very long because before you know it, it'll be empty!
In my opinion, all this company has done is created a product which people think will fix their wrinkles, when in actual fact, all it has done is created a very good brand which claims to solve the life long issue of wrinkles...but all it really is is a concoction which i could probably rustle up myself!!
Overall...a well branded product, which gives false hope and lures its users into thinking they've finally found a solution to ageing, when in actual fact, all they are doing is wasting their money!!
I had read about Nip and Fab Frown Fix in the Daily Mail (I know not the best place to get your info) and I was totally sold on the idea of a magical stick that can remove frown lines and wrinkles. This was a product I had to have. Unfortunately the Frown Fix was completely sold out everywhere! If it was sold out it must be good right? However my good old mam had actually been one step ahead of everyone else and had already purchased 2 sticks from Boots without ever using them. Being willing to do anything for her favourite daughter she gave me one of her sticks.
So what's the craic?
Nip and Fab Frown Fix is a cream that comes in a pen style applicator that you apply directly to frown lines and wrinkles. It claims to be a revolutionary instant line filler. The concentrated formula plumps and smoothes the appearance of expression lines, fine lines and wrinkles; hydrating and moisturising skin to leave your face smooth and instantly younger. The revolutionary formula is made up of amino acids which smooth and minimise the look of expression lines, purslane extract whic hydrates and diminishes the appearance of wrinkles, centella extract which makes fine lines appear visibly reduced and "Grant X" a natural alternative to Botox.
Frown fix can be used on frown lines, crows feet, lines around the mouth and wrinkles.
Is it any good?
I was very excited about this product and could not wait to try it out. The Frown Fix comes in a pen style applicator with a brush at the end. It is super easy to use, just twist the bottom a few clicks and voilà there is the magical cream at the end of the brush. This is a great system as it means you get the amount you need and no wastage. The liquid itself a whitish cream/gel which I found is easily absorbed and non sticky. Because it is dispensed through the pen applicator you can apply accurately to the line you are trying to reduce - you literally just paint it on to clean skin.
After applying to my frown lines I have to say there was an immediate effect. The lines on my head were less prominent the plumping seemed to work instantly. I was really impressed at how good the effect was. I do not have a problem with crows feet but my mother has used it on hers and I can honestly say the effect has been brilliant. This is by no means a permanent fix but after a fortnight of using the product everyday I have found my frown lines are visably reduced. This is a much more appealing and cheaper solution to sticking neddles full of Botox into my face and I wholly recommend it.
Nip and Fab Frown Fix is available from Boots for £10.25
