A Must Have Skin Care Product!!
Member Name: LTS16
Advantages: Small & practical, reasonable price, works.
Disadvantages: Thick. Sometimes can be greasy just after application.
I recieved Nivea Creme as part of a gift set for christmas and having been using it for two weeks, i have to admit, i'm pretty impressed with the results. It's designed to suit any skin type, so it's a pretty handy product, and it's probably going to come in really handy for those with combination skin, as there are limited products on the market for this.
This product is available from almost anywhere.
The 30ml is the least available, i couldnt find it online at all, but i'm sure if you look around instores you would be able to find it.
The 50ml retails online at both ASDA and Sainsbury's at £1.04, it also sells in Tesco at £1.05, Lloyd's Pharmacy retail it at £1.09 and Boots at £1.22.
The 200ml retails cheapest online again at ASDA and Sainbury's for £2.80, Tesco and Ocado retail at £2.85, Superdrug sells it at £2.95 and Lloyd's Pharmacy at £2.99.
Prices vary only slightly from store to store but, with christmas over, the sales are on! So it's worthwhile looking around if you want the cheapest deal!
The packaging is more practical than pretty. My Nivea Creme came in a tub-type container, but this product also retails in a tin. It's blue, plastic, and has 'Nivea Creme' printed in white all around the exterior. The tub is very sturdy- there would be no chance of breakages or spillages, and it's really small, so it's great for using on the go! On the bottom it has a sticker, which opens up to reveal a book-type thing with the ingredients and a contact address. The lid is about a third of the height of the tub and it has a raised perimeter. It screws off, much like a bottle top, and it's requires very little effort to open and shut. One inside it reveals a foil protective cover, which is to be removed. The cream pretty much fills the tub to the brim!
The cream itself is pure white in colour. It feels smooth and lustrous, yet it's a very thick cream. The scent is really distinctive, you could sniff it out from other moisturisers easily. It's a fresh, flowery scent. Combined with an 'antiseptic' twist. It also resembles a sort of 'talcum powder' scent. It's surprisingly a really pretty aroma, which lingers for a good while after application. After daily use for 14 days, i have used very little of the cream, so i'm guessing this would last a good 6-8 months or so! It's preservative free and dermatologically tested, which is a bonus!
The application is easy and identical to the process you would use when applying other tubbed creams. You simply scoop out the desired amount and massage into the needy areas of your skin. The only trouble with the Nivea Creme is that as it is a rather thick cream, the application may take a bit of work to fully massage into the skin. After application, it leaves your skin feeling somewhat greasy and wet, but it soon absorbs and leaves your skin silky and soft to touch. It's container keeps it really cool, so it's always really chilled when you apply, which is a blessing in the morning. The product can be used anywhere on the body, from your face to your toes! And can be used anytime, anywhere.
The only downfalls i found with the product were that it's a rather thick cream, so you have to really massage it into the skin, which can sometimes be time comsuming. Also, the greasy feeling when you first apply the cream is quite unpleasant, but thankfully it absorbs in, so you dont have to deal with it for too long!
Overall, after two weeks of use, i've noticed slight change in my skin. It definetely looks a lot more smoother and moist than it did perviously. It's also great for keeping your skin in good shape during these harsh winter months! I will definetely be buying another few tubs once my current stock ends and hopefully see even more results!
If you haven't already, i would beyond doubt recommend you to purchase a tub of Nivea Creme. It's worth every penny!!
Summary: An afforable, dpendable moisturiser! Would recommend!
