      A great affordable facial wash

I have written about my pamper hamper my fiance won for me a few years back before, and this is another one of the items that was in there, there were a lot of NIVEA products in the hamper.

      Price and Availability:
These are widely available in most supermarkets and chemists as well as online, prices vary as usual and at the time of writing they were as follows :
SEMICHEM.CO.UK - £1.49 - I had not heard of this company until today so I can't vouch for whether they are decent or not.
      OCADO - £1.50
      Morrisons - £1.65
      Superdrug - £1.78
      ASDA - £1.97
      Boots -£2.27
      Waitrose £3 (3for2)
      Sainsbury's £3.36 (2 for £5)
      Amazon- £4.93
Quite a wide variation of prices so it's worth shopping around.

      Packaging :
The packaging is pretty simple and is obvious that it is Nivea as it matches a lot of their other products it is as simple squeezy tube style bottle with a plastic flip top lid. The tube is a see-through blue and it is easy enough to see how much product you have left. The product has a big navy circle on the top with NIVEA in white text, then underneath it says Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Wash Gel. It has a picture of a feather and tells you that it is for Normal and Combination skin. The bottle is 150ml in size.

      Ingredients :
Aqua, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Myreth Sulfate, Sodium Acrylates Copolymer, Glycerin, Glyceryl Glucoside, Tocopheryl Acetate, Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract, Panthenol, Propylene Glycol, Lauryl Glucoside, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate, Polyquaternium-10, Benzophenone-4, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Geraniol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Benzyl Alcohol, Limonene, Linalool, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Parfum, CI 42090, CI 16035.

      In use :
This has a lovely fresh soapy smell to it when you first open it, the gel is thick and easy to apply it is a very pale see through blue (more of a tint of blue really). I usually wet my face a little first and then apply in circle all around my face and neck. It is easy enough to rinse off and doesn't leave a residue. I find it leaves my skin a little red when I have first used it but that only lasts about 5 minutes, after that my skin feels quite soft and firm and it definitely makes me feel fresh and clean which is nice. I didn't notice and long term differences to my skin but it definitely feels nice after use.

Overall I will give this product 4 stars as it gives a lovely fresh clean feeling, you don't need to use much at a time and it is very reasonable price in most places under £2. I would have given 5 if it offered any long term improvements to my skin but I haven't found that it does.
