This is the best facial moisturiser I've ever had, and one I've used for over ten years now. I started hunting as a teenager with terrible skin, so I've tried a lot of different skin products over the years. Many other face moisturisers I've tried are oily and cause break-outs, but Nivea Visage moisturising day cream is the best balance I've found to keep my skin moisturised but not make it oily.
I have fairly dry skin so keeping it moisturised is a challenge. The intense moisturisers can be too much as the skin on your face is very sensitive, and the oil-free ones sometimes don't offer long-lasting effects. I'd recommend Nivea Visage moisturising day cream if you experience similar problems, as it does a good job of keeping your face moisturised throughout the day.
I've always loved the smell of Nivea products, and this one is no exception. It has a great fragrance without being overly perfumed (which can cause problems if you have sensitive skin). It definitely leaves your skin feeling softer and smoother, without being greasy or causing spots. I use the Nivea Visage tinted moisturiser as well when I want to get a bit of colour and even out my skin tone. It's especially good in winter when your summer tan has faded!
You can often buy Nivea Visage moisturiser fairly cheaply in supermarkets and high-street stores such as Superdrug and Boots, and it's even better if you wait for a good offer on Nivea products. At full-price it's currently around £4 for a bottle, but try checking online before you shop, and then stock up for a few months when it's half-price. If you use it regularly like I do, this is definitely the best way to buy it so you always have a stash.
This is an excellent moisturiser for young adult skin i.e. late teens and early twenties - that's the time period that I used this product. I used it every day for about six years and I can't fault it. As far as I'm concerned it was one of the first widely available and truly affordable moisturisers to contain UVA/UVB filters, a true sign that Nivea looks after it's customers. During the time I was using it my skin remained clear, hydrated and protected from a lot of environmental hazards e.g. extensive pollution in South-East Asia, harsh sunlight (I spent a lot of time outdoors) and endless periods spent in air-conditioned and centrally-heated rooms (I obviously also exercised common-sense caution too, it's not a miracle worker!!) Its hydration, UV filters and Vitamin E ingredients, amongst others, were essential to maintaining my skin.
Many expensive brands tend to mislead its customers by telling them that 'dry' skin should be rectified by 'oils' and heavy creams. Skincare can be very complex: complicated to understand and complicated to undertake, but Nivea have taken onboard the complexity and presented very simple skincare. This moisturiser, when I purchased it years ago, was presented as part of it's 'Essential Care' range. The only reason I've switched now is to move on to its 'Nivea Visage Rich Rich Moisturising Day Ceam' (pink tube), because my skin needs more now I'm in my 30s and it's winter time too!
Ideally, you should use this with a night cream, but I was lazy and just used it night and day!! It truly helped to preserve my skin over the years.
Nivea Visage Moisturising Day cream Nivea is a product that we?ve had in our household for years. It?s tried and tested and as past the test of time. So when ever a different product comes in the market, my Mum especially will go out and buy it. So when our local chemist had Nivea Visage Moisturising Day Cream in stock, I soon found it in the bathroom cupboard full of creams/shower gels etc. I do suffer from dry skin, normally I use E45 products which work really well. From time to time I do try other products. I found the Nivea Visage moisturising cream to work really well on my skin. With extra rich moisturising lotion, it soothes into your skin leaving your skin smooth and dry skin free. I noticed after using this product for over a week or so that my skin felt so much smoother so much more softer. It was a noticeable different and one that I was really pleased with. My dry skin had gone 100%, normally when I towel dry myself my skin is left all dry. But now no such problem I was very pleased to say the least. My Mum after using this product after having a bath also found a noticeable different and her skin was much softer. It?s quite simple to use simply pour a bit of lotion into your hand and massage into your designate area. The good thing is that it doesn?t leave your skin feeling clammy or greasy. Of course the product has got a really nice smell with it?s light fragrance it give a nice pleasant smell. So expect nothing overpowering but the nice freshness you get from all Nivea products. You can get cheaper supermarket brands of moisturising cream but to often I find some leave your skin feeling irritable and greasy. Whilst others have little or no difference. That?s where Nivea Visage shows it?s true colours, you know when you purchase this product that the results will be good. You can?t really ask for more. You can buy this product for £3.75 which is tremendous value because it will last you
a long time. I really do mean that because we?ve had our bottle for what seems a very long time. You can also buy this product from most chemists, supermarkets, co-ops and of course places like Superdrug or Boots. This product is suitable for all ages. It?s good for anyone who suffers from dry skin or for anyone who just wants softer, more smoother moisturised skin. Overall this product is highly recommended, very easy to use. Excellent value for money and of course works really well on your skin. If you have problem skin then look no further than this product. I can?t recommend it highly enough.
I have problem skin - still getting slight acne into my 20's, and tend to use oil free products. I have used Nivea's range for over 2 years now and find it excellent. The oil free moisturiser helps my skin by absorbing the excess oil and preventing my cheeks from getting dry - I have the classc T-Bar face! This is good value for money and is ideal for use on its own or under foundation - I tend to put oil free foundation on immediately after putting this moisturiser on as I find it provides the perfect coverage when dry and ensures I dont over apply foundation. It also has Vitamin E and UV filters - essential components of todays quality moisturisers. I find it is a good consistency, not thick but not runny either and dries fairly quickly to leave your skin feeling smooth and fresh without that horrible greasy feel. The fragrance is fresh and slight. I think this a perfect buy for both those who want a matt finish, and teenagers or people with problem skin. I think that this is a much more effective and gentle battle against acne than all those harsh painful remedies as it absorbs oil - and oil is the reason that spots occur.
I have very dry skin, and need to moisten my face straight after a bath (and have done since the age of 13) So you can probably imagine I have tried a lot of moisturisers and have not yet come across one as good as this. The pot contains 150mls of creme and is very light and soft, this pot will last you a long time (about 3-4 months with daily use!)A little goes a long way. The creme is very quickly and easily absorbed and does not feel sticky it is just like moisturising water really! There is no overpowering smell and within seconds of putting it on you can apply your make-up! It costs around £3.50 a pot (but I have seen it cheaper) a real bargain I think!
Nivea 'Extra rich Moisturising Lotion' is excellent for your skin, if you're like me and have dry patches every now and then, then I entirely recommend this product. It comes in a white bottle with a screw top lid, you can buy this in any shop that does beauty products: Boots, Superdrug and Tesco's to name a few. It's about £2-3 and worth every penny, it lasts ages, I've had mine almost a year now as you don't need to apply alot. Apply it to dry area, only a small amount, rub it in and your skin will feel alot smoother and softer within days, you don't have to use it every day, just when you think is necessary. It's safe enough to use on your face, which is where I use it, and on your hands to give them a smoooooooth feeling. Protective ingredients means it can be used on specific areas all over your body, lightly fragranced with the 'nivea smell' is a great way to make your skin look and feel healthier.
