I purchased the Nivea Pure and Natural Toner along with the cleanser in the same range at Boots on a 2 for £4 offer which I though was great value. I prefer to use a cleanse, tone, moisturise regime as my skin feels more deep cleaned and refreshed.
This toner comes in a plastic, see through bottle so you can see just how much of the clear liquid you have left. The packaging tells me this toner is 95% of natural origin, is suitable for all skin types and contains bio Argan oil and bio aloe Vera. It also contains no parabans, colourants, silicones or mineral oils. It is dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive skin. The bottle contains 200 ml of toner.
The bottle consists of a plastic flip top lid which is easy to open and close. As the liquid is of a runny, watery consistency there are no issues regarding using all of the product with no wastage.
After cleansing, I simply take a cotton wool pad and tip on a small amount of toner which I then apply all over my face to remove any left over make up, dirt and cleanser before moisturising. You need a very tiny amount and this bottle will easily last 6 months with being used twice a day.
The liquid is clear in colour and has the consistency of water, therefore be careful when tipping out as too much on the cotton pad will leave your face feeling "wet". I wouldn't say there is a scent to this toner, just that it smells "clean".
When applied to my face it feels refreshing and airtle tightening. I would expect this as a toner is for closing pores.
I have suffered no adverse effects from using this toner or anything in this skin are range and therefore I am awarding 5 dooyoo stars.
I have been using this toner for a while now, after picking it up on offer in Boots. It caught my eye by claiming to be pure and natural, as I have sensitive skin and I like using gentle products. The toner claims to have 95% natural products, and contains aloe vera and vitamin e (argon oil), both of which I love using on my skin in other products.
This toner is completely clear in colour and just looks like water when you pour it out. It has a lid that flips open and can easily spill, so you need to be careful with it, it comes out quite fast when you tip the bottle, a lot of the toner comes out. It soaks a cotton wool pad when you tip the bottle. It feels really refreshing when you apply to your skin, it feels nice and cool, and actually spreads really well, so you don't need that much of it. It feels smooth and makes your face feel so clean. It does remove any left over make up too.
I use this toner after removing my make up with make up wipes, and this really does leave you with a refreshed and clean feeling. My face looks so much brighter since I have been using this toner, I will not use anything else now!
The first time I actually used it, I was surprised that my face went really blotchy red straight after applying it. I rarely suffer a reaction to skin products on my face so quickly like that so I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt as my skin was not sore or itchy, just very red and persevered with this toner, and after a few days my skin must have got used to it, as it does not make my skin red any more. I was surprised my skin had this reaction as this is supposed to be gentle with 95% natural ingredients!
This toner is supposed to be suitable for all skin types, mine is dry usually and I haven't noticed this toner making it any worse, or any better really, it just makes my skin look brighter and feel really refreshed when using it. It also smells lovely and fresh, not too strong at all.
You can pick this up in Boots for £2.24 for a 200ml bottle, which is a bargain as it lasts absolutely ages, even using it everyday as you need so little of it. Even at full price which is between £3-£3.40 depending where you buy it, I have often ordered it on Amazon cheap if I have any money left over from vouchers. I definitely recommend this toner, and I will be sticking with this myself, its a great toner!
