Nivea Visage Q10 Anti Wrinkle Cream
Advantages: Nice and light
Disadvantages: A bit pricey
Moisturiser is something that I always have in the house especially during the colder months as I suffer with dry skin on my face. I have tried a variety of creams in the past and have a collection of different ones ranging from light day creams to more richer creams, I really do have something for every occasion. However despite my extensive collection of moisturisers I am always keen to try something new, so when I received a few sample sachets of Nivea Q10 Anti Wrinkle Pore Refining Day Cream I was keen to give it a try.
As I have said I received several sample sachets of this cream, the moisturiser came in small rectangle white foil sachets, on the front of each sachet is a picture of the pot of moisturiser, just above this is written "Pore Refining Day Cream" and just under this "Q10 Anti Wrinkle". The sachet also informs you that this cream is suitable for normal to combination skin and contains SPF 15. The back of the sachet contains various information about the moisturiser and the ingredients. The information is limited, although I do feel that it tells you what you need to know, it is clearly written and easy to follow.
Nivea Visage Q10 Anti Wrinkle Pore Refining Day Cream is described as being fast absorbing and works in harmony with your skin, I was really hoping this was going to be the case as I do find some moisturisers can be a little heavy to apply before my make during the day so a fast absorbing light cream was just what I needed. The idea of this particular cream is that at the same time as moisturising it helps to reduce the appearance of pores in your skin and the fast absorbing and non greasy cream means that when applied to your skin does not clog your pores at all. Nivea Q10 Pore Refining Day Cream also contains Ceratine which helps to reduce and fight the appearance of wrinkles so by applying this cream the idea is that you will reduce the appearance of pores in your skin and at the same time fight the appearance of wrinkles, with the SPF15 helping to protect against sun induced wrinkles in the skin. If all of this works then it sounds like the ideal moisturiser for every day use. The cream itself is plain white in colour and has a lovely light fragrance to it, it reminded me of baby lotion, the fragrance is definitely subtle and not one that would be too powerful to wear every day. Before I applied the moisturiser to my face I rub a tiny amount between my fingers just to see what it was like, the cream had a cool feel to it and did not feel greasy at all. As I rubbed my fingers together I was impressed with how quickly the cream absorbed into my skin just as promised and within seconds the cream had gone, the skin where it had been felt lovely and soft but there was no trace of the cream at all, it seemed that the cream was going to live up to its promises.
I decided to try the Nivea Q10 Pore Refining Cream in the morning before applying my make up as this for me would be the ideal time to use if should I et on ok with it. After carrying out my normal facial routine I squeezed a sachet of the cream into my hands and began to rub it into the skin on my face, to be honest I think I could have got away with using half a sachet and making each one last twice as long as one sachet of the cream was rather a lot. Despite the fact that I had used too much of the cream the first time I tried it I was still surprised at how quickly it absorbed into my skin, again it had the same cooling effect as then I had tried a small amount of the cream, within a few seconds all of the cream was successfully rubbed into my skin, it left literally nothing behind and there was no greasy residue at all, as soon as I had applied the cream I was able to start applying my make up, there was no sitting around for a few minutes waiting for it to soak in as with other creams I have tried in the past, with this one it absorbed straight away. Once fully absorbed I was very pleased with how soft it left my skin feeling, there was no dryness or tightness at all, the delicate fragrance could be detected slightly but this was in no way over powering and actually left my skin feeling fresh.
The Nivea Q10 Pore Refining Day Cream is dermatologicaly tested and said to work with your skin, this certainly seemed to be the case as I have tried the cream on several occasions now and have had no problems at all, it has not caused any irritation despite using it regularly. For me with the cream the main thing was that it worked as a good light day moisturiser and also the reduction of pores was an added bonus. I do not feel I have used the cream enough yet to see its full benefits, however I do think that any open pores I had have been improved by the use of this cream, I feel that if I continue to use it I will notice quite a difference, this is not a problem I generally suffer with, but do have the odd pore which could do with a bit of work and I certainly feel that the Nivea Q10 is helping with this so I will definitely be continuing with the use of it. Wrinkles aren't a problem I have but it is good to know that by applying the cream to my skin I am helping to fight and prevent them from appearing in the future.
As I have mentioned I actually received my Nivea Q10 Pre Refining Day Cream as a free sample, however I have since had a look around to see where this product is available, I have found it in a variety of places such as online and shops including Superdrug and Boot. In my local Boots this particular moisturiser is sold in a 50ml pot for £9.99, personally I do think this is quite a lot to pay out for a moisturiser compared to other brands, however in my opinion it is worth the money, you only need a small amount of the cream at a time meaning that a pot of this will last for quite some time. Obviously the amount you use is going to depend on the individual, however generally I think a small amount would be plenty for most people making it long lasting and worth the money, it is just the initial paying out for it that would put me off.
Overall I would definitely recommend Nivea Q10 Anti Wrinkle Pore Refining Day Cream, it is an excellent moisturiser, personally I like the way it almost instantly absorbs into your skin and does not leave it feeling greasy at all, once absorbed my skin felt lovely and soft which lasted all day. I found that I could quite happily apply this cream before my make up in the morning and did not have to wait for it to soak in I could start applying my make up straight away. In terms of price, I would say this was reasonable due to the quality of the cream and also the fact that you only need a small amount at a time, however I do think that it is a little expensive to pay out for in comparison to other brands. I would definitely recommend this cream to anyone looking for a lovely light fragranced cream suitable for everyday wear.
Summary: A nice light day cream
