Nivea Visage Refreshing Toner
Advantages: Removes dirt well, leaves skin refreshed and toned
Disadvantages: None really
When it comes to skincare, I tend to purchase well know, good quality brands as they may cost a little more, but generally they produce far better results and one brand that I am really fond of is Nivea and have previously used their Nivea Visage Refreshing Toner as part of my daily skincare regime.
I tend to cleanse, tone and moisturise twice daily and I used this toner alongside a Nivea cleanser and toner at the time.
This toner is very well named as I found it really cool and refreshing. I used it after a Nivea cleanser and it did wonders for my skin. Like other toners, this has a water like consistency and so I just tipped a few drops out onto a cotton wool pad and applied it to the face and neck area.
Although my cleanser was a good quality one, you can guarantee that it does leave behind traces of dirt and make-up and this toner got rid of any last traces of dirt and left my skin feeling really clean and fresh, to the point where it was quite tingly.
Sometimes after cleansing and toning, harsher products can leave my skin feeling a little dry, but I didn't find that with this toner and my skin felt really soft and smooth after use and looked really clean and fresh too.
As it is from the Nivea range of products, it isn't overly cheap, but then for a quality product, you don't mind paying that bit extra and for a 200ml bottle, this toner tends to retail around the £3.60 mark, which isn't bad really as you only need a few drops each time you use it and even with using it twice a day, the bottle lasted me a good 8 weeks before I needed to replace it.
You could tell it had removed all remaining traces of dirt and make-up as you could see the dirt on the cotton wool pad, which wasn't a pleasant experience as such but I would rather it was on the cotton wool pad, than on my face!
This is marketed as being for people with normal to combination skin. My skin generally is quite sensitive and this didn't cause me any issues at all, proving it must be quite gentle on the skin. It contains vitamins and natural lotus extract to help hydrate the skin, whilst removing all impurities.
Overall, this is a really high quality cleanser that does a great job in removing all traces of dirt etc that are left on the skin after using your cleanser, but without irritating the skin at all. It tones the skin well and leaves your skin feeling really clean and fresh and therefore it comes with a recommendation from me.
