I was looking for a new serum and having used Olay products before was pleased to see that in the Tesco near my Mum's house they were selling Olay products 2 for £8 so I thought I would give this a go.
It comes in a plastic pump dispenser that is easy to use, the bottle is light blue and the pump dispenser is black, it does not come with a lid, which is a bit annoying as I keep mine in my make-up bag and worry it will leak, but it has'nt so far. The serum is light in texture and light blue in colour, it glides onto my skin easily and soaks in well. I use it under my day moisturiser and after I have applied my make-up I do not find it greasy.
The serum is aimed at those over 30 years old and is designed to give skin extra hydration and smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is a day serum and can be used on its own or under a day moisturiser.
The serum does not really have a scent, none that I would easily describe, its very slightly floral but light and oceany at the same time, it is not over powering and does not linger on the skin, mixing with other products that I also use.
I have been using the serum for about 3 weeks now, just once per day in the morning and have noticed that my skin is softer and a little bit more refreshed and radiant, I do not have any fine lines or wrinkles on my face (they seem to have decided to take up residence around my eyes) so I cannot comment the effectiveness of the products on fine lines and wrinkles. Overall I would recommend this product to others as it is well priced (currently on Amazon for £4.80, 50ml bottle), leaves my skin soft and radiant and is nice to use.
Olay Aqua Physics Serum.....
I am terrible for buying face creams, lotions and potions which means that I have draws full of products "to do used". I have finally gotten around to using this Olay Aqua Serum and have just recently finished off the bottle.
The main reason for purchasing this particular price was the fact that a short while ago they were on a better than half price special offer in Morrison's and I can never resist a bargain so of course snapped a bottle up.
I have only recently started using serums and found them to feel so luxurious that I have started to buy them on a regular basis and I found that this one was so enjoyable to use. For the £4.99 pence that I paid for it I found it to be a real bargain. The RRP of the serum is £11.99 pence normally which I probably wouldn't pay out due to the fact that there does seem to be so many different bargains on so many different products of this type.
The serum itself came inside a blue coloured box which gave all the necessary information such as that it is recommended for people aged 30 or older (I'm not there yet but thought it wouldn't matter too much!) and that it contains marine fennel extract which penetrates the skin and helps to give you maximum hydration from your moisturiser.
The directions for use are to apply to freshly clean skin and smother over face and neck before moisturiser. It claims that it will also help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles which is really what you would want from a product such as this.
I found the serum easy to use as the pump action bottle dispenses a good amount of the product each time it is pumped. The only trouble I did have was when the serum was nearing the end of the bottle and the pump wouldn't get out all the final dregs so I ended up having to turn the bottle upside down and tap the final few bits out after taking out the pump. This didn't bother me too much as I did end up making sure there was not a drop left in the bottle and certainly got my monies worth.
The feel of the product on my skin was probably the best part of the serum as it felt very light, silky and rather like having a cool splash of water on my face. They have named the product aptly as Aqua Serum is a good description for it. It glided over my skin lovely and just the feel of it made me glad to use it. The affect it had on my skin was okay and although it certainly gave me a fresh and ready to go look, I didn't feel it made any vast improvement on tone or texture long term. I do have to admit though to not having any wrinkles but only a few fine lines.
All in all though I find the product really good. The price I paid was really good too and if I saw it on a special offer such as this again then I would definitely buy it. As far as serums goes this is a good one and I would recommend it. However it is not anything particularly special so I don't think I would be overly loyal to this product.
So I would think a score of 3 stars out of 5 is in order.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
