Olay Gentle Cleansing Wipes
Advantages: GOOD VALUE ON OFFER, REMOVES MAKEUP WELL
Disadvantages: TINGLY AROUND EYES
Effective yet mild.
Olay Gentle Cleansers are wet cleansing wipes with aloe vera. These are suitable for everyday cleansing and are designed to clean and refresh skin. The wipes have unique cleansing pockets which are filled with mild ingredients to swipe away makeup including waterproof eye makeup and dirt. They are dermatologically tested and are mild to the skin.
The packaging is pretty basic. The wipes are contained within a plastic pack which is aqua blue and white. The front of the pack has the Olay logo and name aswell as some information about who these are suitable for and generally what the wipes do. There is a tab you lift up and can reseal to keep your wipes fresh. The back has 2 white panels. The first panel contains the directions for use, ingredients and company information. The other panel contains details about the wipes and the barcode for shop use.

*Availability and Price*
Olay Gentle Cleansing Wipes are available from Boots, Superdrug etc aswell as Asda, Tesco and the likes. Boots are currently charging £2.99 for which you receive a 20 wipe pack. Currently Asda have these on special offer at the bargain price of £1 and on 4 for £3 but they are normally priced at £2.88 so stock up!!!
Normally I buy L'oreal or Garnier facial wipes but whilst shopping in Asda recently, I noticed these as part of the £1 range of cosmetics and on 4 for £3 so I picked up a few packs to try. I feel the packaging is basic but attractive and you cannot fail to know these belong to Olay. I use a facial wipe in the morning to freshen up and to help my dry skin. I also use one at night time before going to bed to cleanse and remove any dirt on my face. I do not wear a great deal of makeup but have test these with no makeup on and with makeup on. I am very sensitive and dry skin especially on my forehead and nose. So what do I think of these wipes?
The seal was easy to open and I removed a wipe. They are very moist and don't have a strong scent, to me they just smelt fresh and clean which is always a good sign! I resealed the pack which sealed up well and has kept the remaining wipes moist. The first morning I used on my normal, non makeup face. I swept the wipe over my face paying special attention to my forehead and nose. My face felt cool and clean and very very fresh. My dry skin did feel improved even after the first use. I applied some face powder, eyeliner, blush and mascara that morning and used a wipe to remove this when I came home from college. I had to use a little more effort with the eye area as my eye makeup was waterproof. My eyes felt a little tingle but not sore afterwards.
Overall I think these wipes are very good though if they hadn't been on offer I would have probably opted for the Garnier or L'oreal wipes.
Summary: PREFER L'OREAL OR GARNIER
