“ Brand: Oriflame / remover liquid / Type: Make Up Remover / Suitable for: Eye „
After the whole day of wearing make-up I think it is essential to let me skin breathe and remove it. Apparently, if you don't remove make-up in the evening that may lead to spots (make-up blocks the pores which then lead to acne) and may cause wrinkles, not to mention that I'm not a fan of panda look in the morning. Therefore a good make-up remover is a very important cosmetic on my shelf.
Oriflame 3 in 1 Make Up Remover is supplied in a green squared transparent bottle. There's a flip top lid and writings on the front (brand, name, size) with further information like ingredients at the back. Unfortunately, the producer doesn't really explain what is meant by '3 in 1'; however this product is meant to, obviously, remove make-up and soothe your skin.
Its scent is very mild (I could barely detect it), not very feminine (reminds me of unisex shower gels) and quite artificial. I'm not a fan of it so I'm glad it is very subtle.
This make-up remover is unsurprisingly very runny (maybe slightly thicker than water). I usually poor it onto a cotton pad which I then gently rub against my skin. What I find extremely surprising, if I poor too much, it slightly lathers up! It has never happened to me before and I find it genuinely bizarre. Otherwise, it removes make-up quite well even though it is not the fastest remover I've used in my life.
Unfortunately, it doesn't do its job well if it comes to waterproof make-up. I tried many times with different amounts of the remover, I also tried pressing it against my skin for several seconds and it still didn't fully remove it. I found it very frustrating and I eventually gave up.
As the producer promises, it is a very gentle cosmetic that didn't irritate my skin. I'm a contact lenses wearer so I usually look out for products that tick this box and this make-up remover is certainly one of them. I haven't noticed any nourishment to my skin that Oriflame promise due to horse chestnut and red grape extracts.
The bottle isn't very big - 100 ml. For people like me who wear make up on a daily basis it doesn't go a very long way. Therefore its price (normally £5.75 though can be found on offer a couple of pounds cheaper) seems rather extortionate. It can be bought from Oriflame reps (you can find one via their website: http://www.oriflame.co.uk). Their products can also be found on Ebay even though the company doesn't support this way of sale as their policy is to distribute cosmetics via direct selling force. Oriflame promise that their products are natural and have not been tested on animals.
Overall, this make-up remover would be good if it could deal with waterproof make up for a lower price. Otherwise, I'm not going to buy it again.
Thank you for reading my review.
