Winter is a really bad time of year for my skin. Most of the year I'm cursed with a dry T-Zone, but in winter it crosses the line from mildly irritating to the bane of my life. My poor forehead has been known to get so flaky I look like I have really oddly placed dandruff. It ain't pretty. The only way to combat this is to be really really nice to my skin at these more difficult times of year. Origins A Perfect World White Tea Skin Guardian, as well as being a bit of a mouthful, is a cream to use before moisturiser to help protect your skin from the daily trials and tribulations it faces. I first heard about it in a review over on Ciao a few years ago, and it ... Read the complete review

Origins are a natural skincare brand whose motto is "Powered by nature, proven by science" They have won several beauty awards and their range uses potent plants, organic ingredients and essential oils. One of the Origins ranges is called A Perfect World and I use several products from this range. It uses the natural ingredient Silver Tip White Tea which is beneficial to skin to help banish signs of aging and deterioration and create health and vitality. The Perfect World White Tea Skin Guardian is a product that is meant to be used after cleansing and before your moisturiser to create a barrier on your skin and prevent pollutants and ... I can be a bit on the obsessive side when it comes to fancy creams and potions for my skin - I own a cupboard full of moisturisers, exfoliators, face masques, all of which I use in the hope that if I look after my skin properly at the grand old age of 25, by the time I reach 40 I'll look as youthful as a 30 year old! I love Origins products and the A Perfect World range really appealed to my anti-aging quest - their tagline is "Banish Youth Offenders long before they cause visible signs of oxidation, deterioration, dehydration" and they focus on prevention rather than cure. The White Tea Skin Guardian is packed with Silver Tip White Tea, an ... Read the complete review

I received this as a 3ml sample in November 2003 and absolutely loved it. I promptly received the full size as a Christmas present and have been using it ever since. If I could have only one skincare product for the rest of my life, it’d be this: let me tell you why. WHITE TEA SKIN GUARDIAN To the majority of people, the idea of using yet another product before your moisturiser probably sounds like a lot of unnecessary hassle. I would have agreed with you before I used this. However, serum/pre-base/primer is probably one of the professional makeup artists’ best kept secrets. Apart from all the other magic it works, it helps prolong the life of ... Read the complete review

As a bit of background on my skin, as soon as I hit 13, my skin erupted. I had an t-zone so oily I was getting paranoid George Dubya was about to invade and my cheeks were so dry and flaky that if I rubbed them, clouds of white skin dust appeared. I had a lumpy forehead, spots all over my chin and blackheads over my nose. You'll be amazed to hear I didn't have a boyfriend, LOL. After about a year of trying every skin product available, I ended up at the doctors, who put me on oral and topical products, which made me look fine until I was 18. Then she made me come off them, just to see what my skin was like. Since then, I've had slightly spotty skin around my ... Read the complete review
