I have notoriously bad-tempered skin. If i change even one of my products, it flares up. But there is one product i rely on, and will never switch from: Oxy 2 in 1 Exfoliating Pads. You'll probably recognise Oxy Pads from the skin care section of your local chemist. They come in a small blue box, with a round screw on lid. The lid is Navy for the normal skin pads, and light blue for the sensitive range. They are marked clearly with "OXY" in Pink writing. Although it sounds quite plain, the packaging stands out from all the other skin care ranges (which tend to be pale in colour and design) Oxy is aimed more at teenagers, with it's bright packaging. I am not a teenager. But i swear by the stuff. A 36 pad box retails on chemist websites at £3.59, although i usually find the product on offer in local chemists. For example, at the time of writing, Oxy is selling in my local "Semi-Chem" at 99p a box. Now for the blurb... "These double action pads instantly clear dead skin cells, grease and bacteria to help prevent spots and blackheads. Convenient and quick, one side cleans pore deep where soap and water can't reach and cools and refreshes as it cleans for clearer looking skin. The other side cleanses so that the formulation penetrates pores deeply to help prevent spots forming" As the writing says, you simply wipe your face with the small "cross hatched" side first, to unblock all your pores. The feeling is very cool and tingly, but that is how you know that the pads are working. After this, you flip the pad to the other side, which is much smoother. This is to deposit the antibacterial lotion on to your skin, so that it can keep working through the day. I have oily skin, and these do seem to soak up the oily feeling i get. I wouldn't recommend over-use for those of you with dry skin, as they might have a drying effect, although used once a day, they don 39;t cause any irritation at all. I do find that this product keeps my skin regulated, and any spots i do get are only little, and easily covered. I have used this product for the past 5 years, since i first encountered teenage spots, and they fixed my skin up then, and continue to do so today. So for fresh feeling skin, which is clear and toned, my personal recommendation is "Oxy two in one pads." Why pay over a tenner for the more expensive cleansers with the fancy packaging, when this little box can do so much more? If you'd like to see more products from the range, or have some of your questions answered, then visit the company website at: <www.oxy.co.uk> You may find the site a little childish, but their market is teenage, even though the product is useful for everyone. i hope you find this review to be helpful.
This product for me was a great buy. I had seen them advertised on the television and decided to give them a go to see if they would save me time. They have been a great help and are starting to make my skin a lot better. It says on the container that you should use them twice a day but I find that this left my skin feeling dry. So now I just use one oxy pad before I go to bed and it has made my skin softer. They leave your skin with a little tingle and feeling fresher. I had bought mine while they were on offer in superdrugs but usually they are quite expensive for 36 pads. I have tried some of the oxy range before and found them quite good, so that is the main reason I tried them. I do recomend this product to everyone and it is a quick and easy way to clense and tone your skin (but don't forget to moisterise).
I'm sorry but this op is going to start the same way as all the others.. Right now in Superdrug they have these gorgeous little pads on offer! I can't remember how much they was but somewhere in the region of about £2.79 (I've since been told you can buy them from Morrisons for £1.99) The packaging looked modern and the silver would just look so nice in my bedroom :) I usually buy baby wipes but these were the same price and since i was looking slightly spotty i grabbed some. Swinging the carrier bag all the way home i was feeling hot and sticky in this stupid muggy weather. Once i got home i tied my hair back with a sock and opened the Oxy pads. Supposed to make me feel oxicated?? Going to make me feel spot free? Well the only way to find out is to try i suppose. The instructions on the back were really easy to follow and had little pictures. The pads had two sides. One was like a chequered indent for exfoliating whilst the other was wiggly indented lines to cleanse. Starting with the first side i noticed that these were a little rough on my face yet i carried on anyway. Suddenly i noticed the smell which was a bit like a mild antiseptic or something!! Once the first side was finished my face felt instantly fresh. The stickiness was gone and i felt as if i had just had a shower! It was like someone was putting cold air on my face and i really loved this! The second side wasn't all that special, although it did do it's job. The wiggly lines really did feel like they was getting into all those nooks and crannys for a good clean! Once i had finished my face felt reallly fresh. Now i have finished my first packet i have noticed a few faults. These make my face feel a little tight after use and people have been noticing im a bit shiny - a problem my skin has never had before. To solve this i just stick some moisturiser on and i have a lovely non shiny supple skinned face :) Another problem i discovere d is that when you use the first pads they're quite soggy but then when you get to the end they;re quite dry. I suppose this is a problem that cant be helped but i tend to squeeze the first ones against the side of the tub to prevent useless ones later. Oxy really does do what it says. For the first few weeks of using it i had awful spots but i guess that is from the impurities coming out. it really was worth those few weeks though because now for the first time ever my skin is really clear. I must admit that at first i was sceptical about how one of these tiny little pads could do anything at all but they are fabulous! Stock up now!!
