      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Leaves skin looking radiant

      This facial scrub is designed to be used by the guys but I love using it too as it's great for oily skin, which is something that I suffer from.

      The scrub comes in a tube and it's designed to be used a few times a week and not every day as it can dry your skin out if it's used on a daily basis. I expected this scrub to be quite thick in consistency but it's actually really runny! You only need to squeeze the tube GENTLY otherwise you will end up wasting the remainder of it. The scrub is quite "scrubby" as it contains a high amount of scrubbing beads. It does manage to exfoliate the skin really well though and it's great for dull skin as it helps to add "life" to the skin, leaving it looking brighter and radiant.

      The scrub gets rid of dead skin cells and transforms dull skin into healthier looking skin. It's great for oily skin as it helps to reduce excess oil and sebum on the surface of the skin. The scrub can sometimes leave your facial skin looking a little "red" but this is normal and your skin soon settles down. The scrub smells pleasant enough. It is quite a masculine scent but it doesn't really linger on your skin after use so it's not a problem for me. The scrub does help to reduce spots and blemishes but it doesn't get rid of them completely. For that you will need something stronger.

      I would recommend this scrub though. I paid £1 for it as it was on a special introductory offer in Tesco.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A great facial scrub!

      I suffer from very mild acne and sometimes get the odd spot or two and having tried a variety of different products to fight them I decided to add Oxy Maximum Face Scrub to the list.

      The gel comes with a standard tube and uses micro beads to exfoliate the skin supposedly removing black-heads and softening the face. The tube is actually quite small considering the cost but you really are meant to use it only once or twice a week because it's a scrub so it can leave your face very dry so though small it should still last you a while.

      For me it defiantly worked, my face was much smoother after a couple uses and it did start to fade out my spots but before it could completely remove them I ran out of the stuff. I no longer use because for a student its slightly out of my budget but when I did it was great, worked well and vastly smoothed at my skin so for those that can afford it I fully recommend it.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Overall a great product to put into your routine.

      I am 20 years old and suffer from quite bad skin, to keep on top of it i eat healthy as possible and drink plenty of water. However, sometimes you need a helping hand.

      Oxy maximum face scrub is amazing, it is quite expensive for the size you get (but remember you wont need much of the stuff). It is recommended that you only use it a few times a week which I have to stress is all you need.

      When I first bought the product I used it A LOT (every night infact) however, I soon had Very dry skin. If you are using any sort of skin product everyday only use this a couple of times a week.

      It is a great product, after one use you can definitely tell its worked, your skin will feel very smooth and healthy. I would highly recommend this product (and their other products) as it is extremely effective. However, it is a little bit expensive like I have already said.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        A good face wash if you're looking to exfoliate and invigorate.

        As I have mentioned in my previous reviews, my daughter suffers from a few spots and blemishes on her face and this oxy facewash is amongst many contenders in trying to help her improve her skin quality and also clear the spots.

        I bought this for £4 on special offer in Superdrug a while back. It's meant to be a touch face scrub to invigorate and clean the skin which is just what my daughter was looking for.

        I very much like the packaging of Oxy facewashes in general because they're upside down so you get the most out of it, the flip lid makes it easy to open and close with wet hands and you don't have to worry about losing a lid. The product brand, OXY is in large letters on the front so it's easy to spot on the shelf too.

        The scrub itself promises to :
        Remove dead skin
        Kill spot-causing bacteria
        Reduce excess oils
        Reduce redness

        Lets see.

        I used the product as well as my daughter. I got a sink full of warm water and wet my face first. I used aboue two peas worth of the face scrub and rubbed it between my fingers before rubbing over my face with both hands. I instantly felt the beads in the wash scrubbing against my skin. It was a bit harsh feeling, a bit scratchy but It made my skin feel incredibly clean. I rubbed it allover and then rinsed it off before patting my face dry with a towel. my skin had a fresh smell to it and felt really clean and refreshed because it is quite harsh on your skin. I liked it because that's how I like to wash my skin, it feels exfoliated but many people wouldn't like that and it definitely wouldn't be good for sensitive skin.

        My daughter used this product and loved it. She said it makes her skin feel soft and cleaner and she thinks that it is awakening to use in the morning before school.

        Overall, this is a good face wash that is different from others in the sense that it really lives up to it's name - Extreme. It is a bit harsh but its worth it. You may find it too harsh but we found it just right for our skin so it is really down to opinion. It is a little pricey and doesn't last that well really, but I think it is worth the money.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Good for some, not for me

          I bought this with the OXY Face Wash during Boot's OXY Buy One Get One Free Promotion.

          ~~~TUBE DESIGN~~~
          It is the same size as the face wash in the same series, and is a plastic tube with a lid on the bottom, which you flip to open. The tube is very "baggy" which makes squeezing easier and when you get to the end, do not have to use too much force to get the rest out.
          The tube is opaque and you can tell that the tube is not fully filled, but nonetheless acceptable, not TOO obvious.
          ~~~APPEARANCE, TEXTURE, SMELL AND USING THE PRODUCT~~~
          The scrub comes out of the tube as a non-viscous (a bit too liquidy as it just oozes out in a big mess when you squeeze) translucent white liquid with lots of white beads, and a few occasional black ones. It does not smell of anything in particular, but is immensely rough on the skin.

          Using the product is very easy, just apply to a wet face and massage before rinsing. The scrub feels VERY rough, and literally feels like sandpaper against your face. I'm not sure how effective this is, but it is definitely the most intense scrub I have used.

          After use, skin does feel slightly refreshed (I'm sure ALL the dead skin cells AND some live ones have been removed) although pores do seem to be enlarged due to the rough action.

          I use this about once a week (or sometimes less often) as it is a bit TOO rough for my skin in my opinion.

          ~~~PRICE~~~
          I bought this during Buy One get one free so worked out to be under £2.
          ~~~OVERALL~~~
          I think the scrub is too rough for me, but perhaps good for those who want a more intense scrub. Scrubs in general have not been well received by my face, and compared to the OXY face wash in the same range, I would definitely recommend the wash, as that also contains micro beads and gives a much smoother, gentler and pleasant clean.

          The consistency is a bit too fluid, and feels like sandpaper on the skin, which I do not like.
