Advantages: brilliant moisturiser,

Disadvantages: hard to get last contents out of bottle

These last couple of years I have bought countless bottles of this product and I have found palmer's cocoa butter amazing! It is one of my favourite ever moisturising brands and I really struggle to fault them.

The cream is designed to help tackle and prevent dry skin by smoothing and moisturising. I personally use the 'fragrance free' version as I suffer from eczema and severe itching, until recently I have found that it might be due to allergies. So this has led me to search out for fragrance free everything, from shampoo to moisturises. I was over the moon the discover Palmer's did a fragrance free version (even though to be honest the original never seemed to do my skin any harm), because nowadays it's near to impossible finding a moisturiser 'fragrance free'.

The only difference in packaging between the original and 'frag free' was that the lettering underneath the title logo was a purple colour rather than blue. The cream itself is just as affective and even though it does claim 'frag free', it still smells absolutely divine with the distinct cocoa butter essence.

The cream is of a thick, rich consistency and is a pale yellow colour. It blends and sinks into your skin really well, but leaves a thin layer ontop making your skin feel moisturised and softened. It soothes my red eczema arms, and also helps overcome the cracking dry skin on my hands. It soothes the itching I unfortunately suffers from, which helps such a great deal more than cream I have been prescribed at my doctors!

Having being given before in the past, horrible oily and bland thick ointments, this cream is not such a burden to put on. In fact I rather look forward to getting the stuff out! The smell is so appealing that it's better than actual chocolate itself. I've been given loads of compliments from peers and friends saying 'ooooo what is that! you smell nice!'.

Being a big fan of Palmer's I have now purchased a lot more in the collection, including the solid formula tub. This helps even better with my extra dry areas such as my hands, and I use it alongside my original cocoa butter formula cream.

The only downside is the design of the bottle. Near the end of completion it's extremely difficult to scrape the last bits of cream from the bottle. You can unscrew the top after some effort which makes it easier, but it's still pretty difficult. To be honest though, I can't really suggest a different design alternative so maybe this isn't such a big issue!

I have bought the item from many different places, one of the cheapest I've found are some of the supermarkets. Only the other day I bought some more because Tescos have an offer on at the moment with a 1/3 off (offer lasts until 30th august 11 so hurry, hurry, hurry!). So then I bought it for £2.35, but originally it was priced at £3.53. I'd say it is pretty pricey but I've tried cheaper brands of a similar product and the quality is just not the same. I think it's worth paying for the quality, and to finally get my skin in this better state I especially think it's definitely worth the money.

Summary: Great relief for my dry skin and helping with my eczema!
