Advantages: Everything palmers claims about this product is true

Disadvantages: None what so ever

I suffer from eczema and with this comes really bad dry and sensitive skin so finding a moisturiser that helps with my dry skin without irritating my eczema is a real task. Over the years I have tried and tested more moisturisers than I'd like to remember and was finally recommended this from a friend. A few weeks later when out shopping in town I noticed this on offer in my local wilkinsons for around £2.50 and decided to give it a go.

I actually have the 400ml bottle of palmers cocoa butter so the bottle design is slightly different from the picture. I will be talking about the bottle I have.

The bottle is the same shape as the one in the picture being wide at the bottom curving into a thinner top. My bottle does not have a flip lid it actually has a push down dispenser which I think is a fantastic idea. The first bottle I even bought had a flip top and I found it was really difficult to get the moisturiser out as it was so think and a lot of time was spent vigurasly squeezing and bashing the bottle. Since using the pump top I have had no problems. On the first use it did take a good 10 pumps or so to get anything out and for a second I was a little worried that I was never going to see any of the moisturiser. The bottle is all white with a light blue label which has the product name and description which includes 'softens, smoothest and relieves dry skin' and ' smooths marks and tones skin' on the back of the bottle palmers claims that their cocoa butter formula 'is enriched with vitamin E, is an advanced moisturiser that softens, smooths and relieves dry skin. Also helps smooth and blend unattractive marks and scars. An excellent after tanning butter. Widely recommended for stretch marks during and after pregnancy' this also appealed to me as I do have a 2 year old little girl and did gain some stretch marks.

When I first used palmers cocoa butter I got a but carried away and was left saturated in moisturiser than took what felt like hours to dry. I have since learnt that although this is very thick is distributes across your skin with not problem to a little does go a very long way. The smell is divine and cocoa butter is one of my favourite smells for all health and beauty products so this was a hit with me. It's not too sickly or over powering but people did point out how lush I smelt hours after applying which can't be a bad thing. After applying sparingly the moisturiser did dry with in a minuet and I was left with a glow to my skin which I loved. There was no sticky feeling stall I instantly felt smooth and moisturised.

Where I do suffer with such bad skin I find contact to my skin from people and cloths can be really uncomfortable and it's also something I'm a bit body conscious about but I have to say that since using palmers cocoa butter formula I'm more than happy to show abit of skin. Thee was no applying it a couple of times to see a difference I had it straight away. As I said my skin glowed, I smelt divine and my skin felt amazing. I also found this lasted a good 48 hours and I only had to app,y after baths and showers and the effects lasted.

I absolutely swear by this to anyone that experiences any skin problems similar to mine. It has never irritated my eczema infant it's softened some of the areas which is a added bonus. As for the stretch marks they are fading very slowly. So all in all I could not have been happier.

Palmers cocoa butter can be bought from anywhere that sells health and beauty products and prices vary form around £2.50 to about £4 depending on bottle size, where you buy it and if it's on offer. But personally even at £4 that's not expensive especially for a product that works.

Summary: A product I would be happy to pay more for
