Peter Thomas Roth Un Wrinkle Creme
Advantages: Impressive list of ingredients.
Disadvantages: Quite pricey if it has no effect.
This product in theory should be great, but it didn't work for me.
It could be that my skin isn't aged enough for it to be that effective and perhaps I'm a little harsh because of that fact, so to begin, I would say that if you're younger than 40 or don't have severely premature aging skin in your 30's, then spend your money elsewhere. I guess the name "unwrinkle" should have given me a huge clue, but in my desperation to hold back the signs of aging I chose the wrong product for me. ( I'm torn between rating this 3 stars for the lack of positive effects on my skin and 4 stars for the potential it could have on the right skin. )
That said, Peter Thomas Roth know their ingredients and what works on the skin, so it's a shame that this concoction of ingredients wasn't that effective for me. But I wouldn't hold it against the company in general as they have fantastic products that target all manner of different skin types and ages, so they are bound to have something effective for everyone.
*Who is this for ? *
I would say 40+ and/or are showing signs of aging on the skin. In this respect as long as you fall into that category I wouldn't omit any particular skin type as such.
*Why does this work ? *
This particular product contains a blend of six powerful wrinkle-relaxing and antiaging peptides that make up 23 percent of the product and the reason why I think this may be more effective on skins with visible signs of aging is because it contains the likes of Argireline (Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 ) which helps RELAX tension/expression lines on the skin. It also contains the likes of Matrixyl 3000 (Palmitoyl-Pentapeptide 3 ) and Palmitoyl Tripeptide-3 which boosts natural collagen production.
Whlist there's peptides galore in this product, it also contains lots of vitamins ( the likes of A, C and E ) and skin moisturisers such as Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5) which not only improves the moisture-retention capacity of the skin, but it also stimulates skin regeneration.
Thus, like I said, it has an impressive lists of ingredients and should in theory have a great effect on those with signs of aging on the skin.
Water (Aqua), Acetyl Glutamyl Heptapeptide, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Tripeptide, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Phospholipids, Dimethicone PEG-7 Phosphate, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-3, Squalane, Sodium Hyaluronate, Propylene Glycol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea, PEG-75, Bisabolol, Panthenol (Pro Vitamin B5), Oleth-2, Triethanolamine, Oleth-5, Xanthan Gum, Yellow 5, Red 33, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Vanilla Essential Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Extract.
Summary: Unless you have visible signs of aging on the skin, don't bother.
