Advantages: Creamy wash with excellent overall results
Disadvantages: not a true make-up remover as it states, wouldn't recommend for dry skin
I am lazy - I love the idea of cleansing, toning and moisturizing my face twice a day, but the reality is, as a very busy mum with three kids I struggle to find time to cleanse and dry let alone tone and moisturize.
My mum picked me up a bottle of this after I sent her on a mission to find me a cleanser, toner and moisturiser in one that would help my(then pregnant) dull skin to flourish. I was VERY unimpressed by the bottle to be honest. Don't get me wrong I love the words on the front and it really does separate it from any other brands, but it was just a bit plain, and if I had been looking for something on the shelves, I would have easily missed it.
Purity states that you can apply a small amount, either onto a dry or wet face and massage into skin for 60 secs before washing off with clean warm water. It also says it is a make-up remover as well.
After opening this for the first time I was quite relieved to find it didn't really have a smell. It has a slight odor to it, but I have found any fragrance free formula tends to have a certain"something" to it. The cream liquid is lovely and thick, and comes out slowly so you don't over pour. This sensual feeling, cream liquid I have found is best, put onto slightly damp skin and then basically you just rub it in everywhere.(I have even used it on my EYES). I normally "massage" or in my case rub vigorously for probably about 30 secs and then I rinse.
When I first used it, I have to say, my skin felt quite taut after rinsing - but for me personally I liked the feeling of fresh, firm skin. I have used it now for about 8 months and have gone through 2 big bottles. I Love the fact that my combination skin has evened out and have a lovely complexion to boot.
There is a couple of small points to note however, the first is that although this states it removes ALL make-up, I have found that you really are better off using an eye make up remover for mascara. The rest of your make up will come off with ease but it struggles to move mascara and when it does , it either ends up down your cheeks or half left on.
The second point is that it does indeed moisturise your skin but once again,I have found it better for my skin if I put on an extra moisturizer a couple of evenings a week.
All in all I think if you have a busy schedule like me this really is an excellent product and I would recommend it to anyone who has combination or oily skin. I would stay clear though if you have dry skin.
Summary: all in all an excellent 4 in 1 product
