      Advantages

      Disadvantages

First of all, I should say I have dry skin that gets flaky patches all the time, and is incredibly sensitive. I was worried when I got the great awakening that it would bother my skin, but decided to get it after using philosophy's hope in a jar theraputic moisturizer, which worked well. I'm glad I did--after one use of the great awakening, my skin was noticeably softer, and my flaky patches were gone. Even days later my skin was still soft. About the packaging...this comes with two major parts. First, capsules which you open and put in a small jar and mix with water to make a jel, and then a cream--you do not mix these two together before application. After applying the jel to your face, you apply the cream over it and they react and foam. After three minutes, you can wash it off or scrape the foam off with a small plastic scraper for more exfoliation(or you can shave it off if you are male). Some people find all the steps included annoying, but I don't mind them. However, I would suggest using only half a capsule at a time and reducing the water by half when making the gel. Otherwise you waste a lot of gel. This way you get 20 uses instead of 10, which is much more reasonable for the price you pay. All in all, I'd happily recommend this to anyone--especially people with dry skin. Oxygen Foam Ingredients: water, cetyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, polysorbate 40, sorbitan palmitate. Catalyze Enzyme Capsule Ingredients: catalase, mannan, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, magnesium stearate, citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, stearic acid

This may well get the award for the most horrid skincare product I've ever had the misfortune to buy. You get two containers of product, and you mix the requisite amount of each together and apply to your face. It's supposed to brighten, tighten, scare away any spots and generally be an all-round miracle. Hmph! What I did not realise is that one of the bottles basically contains hydrogen peroxide - and that's it. So what you're effectively doing is bleaching your face! And not only that, wait for this. It says, for maximum effect you should shave it off. Yes! for girlies. There may not be that many advantages to being female but not shaving my face is definitely one of them - and I'm not starting for Philosophy! This just seems to have an effect in much the way that any catalyst plus hydrogen peroxide would. Nasty.
