~~~~~~~~ New wipes ~~~~~~~~ I always tend to use Boots cucumber face wipes to remove my makeup, but recently I had run out and so stocked up on these instead. A pack of 25 wipes costs around £1.50, but were on a 3 for 2 offer when I bought them. ~~~~~~~~~~ The usual style ~~~~~~~~~~ If you have ever used face wipes before, then you'll know exactly what the packaging is like! It is a simple plastic packet with a resealable piece of plastic over the top that can be lifted to reveal a hole in the top of the pack - you can then take out a wipe and close up the pack to stop the others drying out. Of course, as these are fragrance-free wipes, they don't smell of anything at all which isn't a bad thing - although I must admit I prefer the nice fresh fragrance of my usual Boots wipes! These are soft on my skin, and very easy and pleasant to use, and I find they really are pretty effective at removing my make-up. They are nice and moist, and one wipe does the job - and although I am almost through a pack of these they don't dry out at all, so remain very useable! After use my skin feels clean and fresh. ~~~~~~~~ In summary ~~~~~~~~ These wipes work really well and overall I have no complaints about them, and they have proved a worthy alternative to my Boots faves! Although I do generally prefer scented products, it seems a bit unfair to swipe a star off for this, so I will give these wipes the full five stars!
I admit I am a bit lazy when it comes to cleansing at times. Just having a quick wipe over with a face Wipe is nice and easy isn't it? It just seems like a hassle to squirt some Toner onto some Cotton Wool and wipe over. I know that wipes tend to work out a bit more epensive, but I do stock up when things like this are on offer. Then again I didn't get these when on offer but they did just cost me £1.54 for the 25 Wipes so not a bad price at all I thought. These come in a simple pack. The pack looks a bit plain, but I wasn't expecting all that much anyway due to the price. Just rip open the bit in the middle of this pack and pull the Wipes out. The sticky part sticks over ok and the wipes stay damp for the time that you use these. The wipes were thicker than I thought they would be. I thought they would be thin and not too damp but they are thick enough and you can wipe this over your face easy enough. They are pretty damp and 1 wipe will do your face and neck just fine. There isn't much scent to these. Yes they are fragrance free so I wouldn't expect a scent, but you still get a light hint of a Creamy kind of scent. Not much though. I found these to be good enough. I tend to reach for wipes for wipes which deal with Oily or Spot prone skin which these don't but these removed my Make up and the dirt from the day as well. They didn't irritate my skin and seemed to soften my skin ok as well. A good pack of wipes for a good price.
My face skin is very important to me, particularly as I'm getting older actually lol. I appreciate a face that looks bright, fresh and clean and I tend to cleanse, tone and moisturise as often as I can with all separate products usually. However of late and being busy and having late nights I'd rather use a face wipe than use nothing before tumbling into my bed and so I recently purchased these and at £1.48 for 25 of them in Sainsbury's and they seemed a good buy to me! The Packaging: White and light green plastic oblong packet that is plastic and the light green section is sticky to the front of it and you simply pull the wipes through singularly and as required. On the front of the packet I'm told that they are Sainsbury's Fragrance Free Cosmetic Wipes and that they are suitable for sensitive skin. On the back of the packet other information listed includes being told how to use the wipes, safety advice and ingredients are listed and contact details for Sainsbury's are given. Cheap looking packaging this is but it all is informative as it needs to be really and at least the packet does reseal with ease! Using Them: The wipes are made of thick white cloth and bigger than your face and square in shape. They are reasonably thick as well but easy to direct to clean your face and by that I mean they are not too stiff or anything like that to use at all. They don't contain any fragrance that my nostrils can detect at all and they are moist providing that you reseal the packet well after using them and store them in a cool place. These are actually rather good to be fair to them. They do remove light make up with ease. They do struggle on dark/good quality or heavy make up.... however in that case I need to use more than one wipe and then I get a clean face with perseverance. They're cooling on the skin and leave the face not only looking clean but feeling it too and don't leave any sticky feeling behind them at all. Also I have sensitive eyes and am prone to spots and blackheads rather often and this doesn't upset any of my face at all! At £1.48 per packet of 25 wipes (which is a mere 6p a wipe by the way) they do a decent job and are dermatologically and opthalmologically tested and contain no alcohol. They do a decent job even though you do have to work harder with them on more stubborn make-up and they leave the skin feeling soft, supple and smooth and I think these are a decent buy on the whole! Only available in Sainsbury's stores.
