SBC 3 in 1 Complete Cleansing and Toning Gel
I am a little obsessed when it comes to cleansing products, good cleansing comes to the heart of everything for your face and beauty routine. Cleansers prevent a build up of waste products your face produces, which can build up on the face causing congested, irritated skin. If dirt and grime are left on the skin it accumulates causing blocked pores that lead to blackheads, spots, dull skin etc. The same happens when makeup is left on the skin at night e.g. going to bed without removing your makeup properly, even mineral makeup when they say you can sleep init it is so pure. Yes it might be but you still have to remove it properly.
Over the course of the day dust and pollution goes on your face causing further congested problems without you knowing. A good cleanser at night will help to remove all this, leaving you with clean, soft, beautiful skin. Also a good cleansed face means the products you apply afterwards ensure they work effective. If this isn't done the products you put onto can't penetrate through all the barriers to your skin, thus you wasting money on expensive beauty products.
There are many different cleansing products out there in the market, but I haven't used a gel before so I was really intrigued to try this.
I have been a fan of Simply Beautiful Cosmetics (SBC for short) for years ever since I tried their other gels from QVC with great results. I haven't seen this particular gel on QVC but while I was browsing their site http://www.sbc-gels.co.uk I have been on the lookout for a good cleansing product for a while and I thought this is perfect, it is also complete with added toner. SBC also say you can use this gel to remove eye makeup.
It is suitable for all skin types including sensitive.
SBC are a professional salon brand, their gels were on beauty therapists trolleys but was always a secret and wasn't for the general public. However that was until with general public demand SBC bought them out to us, making them more successful now than ever.
I bought 500mls for £23.99 (at the moment SBC are selling it cheaper). I bought the larger size because of the SBC name and I knew I would love it; it is also economically money wise. It does come in other sizes including: 125ml, 175ml, 250ml and 500ml.
SBC say this gel is a makeup remover, facial skin cleanser and toner all in one product. Leaves the skin feeling fresh, thoroughly cleansed, hydrated and smooth. All traces of makeup and pollution are removed leaving you with glowing skin.
The bottle looks like all of SBC gels; it comes in a plastic bottle with a white pump that can be screwed down for easy travel and no mess. SBC don't believe in fancy packaging that is why it looks so simple, SBC are more concerned by what is inside the bottle not outside.
When I received it I couldn't wait to try it that night, first of all though I pumped a little to the back of my hand to smell the main ingredients including ginkgo biloba, green tea and elderflower. In the bottle the gel looks very light yellow in colour but looks clear when pumped out.
As soon as I pumped a little to the back of my hand the smell hit me, it is quite a strong smell and I didn't expect it to be that strong. It's not a terrible smell but more of exotic; you can defiantly smell the main ingredients in there. It smells very refreshing.
Like any other gels it feels very light on my hand and I can't wait to try it on my face and see how it performs.
That night with full makeup on with slightly damp hands I pumped one pump out into my hand; one pump is all that is required as the product is concentrated. I rubbed both hands together; straight away the smell hits you, which is so lovely and refreshing.
I started rubbing it on my face; starting from the nose and working outwards making sure you massage the product in for a few moments. You can feel it is smooth and light cooling gel that seems to glide along the face with such ease. I rubbed the product over my eyes as SBC did say it can be used as an eye makeup remove. Personally I won't be doing this again as the strong smell made my eyes sting a little and water. I massaged it in a little and wiped it away with a clean damp sponge. Straight away without feeling your face you can see how clean your skin looks, when you do touch your face it feels smooth. There is also no tightness as it has a built in toner.
Even though it has a built in toner I like to use my toner anyway just to remove all product residue.
The night after I removed my eye makeup with my usual eye makeup remove and proceeded to cleanse my face as I did the night before with great results again.
With regular cleansing with this product you can see and feel your skin improve, my skin looks and feels softer, clearer and free from spots.
This is a product I would buy and buy again.
