I used to be quite doubtful of homeopathic remedies and all these lotions and potions you can get. Then, recently I started to get into health and skincare a lot more and really started to take more care of myself and my skin. This partly due to watching a tv shopping channel and learning how important this can be and partly to do with getting older if I'm truely honest. I started using creams and lotions to cleanse, tone etc but found that although I had older skin, it still wasn't dry skin and they were too heavy and never sunk in properly. I was also left with a greasy feeling on the skin. Then things changed for me when I saw a show with SBC gels. I started out using them for skincare as they were recommended for skin that doesnt absorb easily and was very impressed. Soon I had tried a lot of the products in their range and was very impressed. To be truely honest I was not particularly interested in trying the aloe vera and cucumber gel as it didnt really appeal to me. Then I found a kit I really wanted and this came as an extra so I gave it a go and was really impressed. This gel is great for when you have a skin flare up or rash and really helps to calm and clear the skin. It is very cool un application and I love to use it when I have a headache as it really helps to clear it with the help of headache tablets, whilst im waiting for them to work. I also tend to use it as a moisturiser in the warmer weather to cool my skin down. Another great use is for sunburnt skin, it cools and calms the skin and keeps it moiturised and soft. I would recommend this highly to anyone who struggles with the heat and gets burnt easily.
The first time I had seen Simply Beautiful Cosmetics I was at a Beauticians and Hairdresser's suppliers warehouse about eleven years ago. These premium products are a beauticians trade secret. It must have been good as it was flying off the shelves. Simply Beautiful Cosmetics, is a manufacturer of professional skincare and makeup, and has been for over 20 years. Products must work and bring results otherwise a beautician's reputation could be ruined. A workman is only as good as his tools! Therefore SBC products are the ones of choice for many who work in this line of business. SBC's products are water based and therefore non-comedogenic (will not block pores). They contain a high volume of plant extracts for a soothing, natural experience. Another benefit is that they can be used by the whole family. I use many products in this range, as they are now available widely. I purchased mine from Q.V.C. (found at www.qvcuk.com or on Virgin Cable on channel 740). They can be purchased singly or in many combinations. They are also available direct from www.sbcgels.co uk. The Aloe Vera gel, I am reviewing will cost the following prices direct from the manufacturer: 125ml bottle Price: £10.44 175ml Tube Price: £13.29 250ml bottle Price: £18.08 500ml bottle Price: £33.05 They are also available at other stockists, a quick google search will bring them up and you can compare to get the best price at that moment. Aloe Vera is a succulent plant which may have originated in North Africa. The gel is often used in Herbal medicine. It is used widely now in tissues, and toilet paper etc due to it's soothing properties. Aloe Vera is often used in recipes (according to Wikipedia) due to it's gelling properties. I love using this Aloe Vera gel. Mine comes in a clear hard plastic bottle with a white pump, for ease of use. The product itself is a gorgeous green colour. The label on the front is simple, not a all fancy. You get the feeling that all the money goes to make the product do it's job better, not to look fancy in the bathroom, although it's simplicity is very appealing anyway. This is a non-sticky, light, water based gel. As all SBC products are. I use this to calm down my skin after shaving but there is a whole plethera of uses. It is absorbed readily by the skin, leaving it feeling cool and soothed. The green colour also helps take out any redness that may occur. The back of the bottle recommends this for use on heat damaged skin, wind burn, sun burn, chafing and shaving and after epilation treatments including electrolysis and laser. Another great use for this is to sooth and calm nappy rash! This isn't mentioned on the bottle but I found this on the sbc website. It would have been great to know while my girls were small but it may help someone who reads this with a small child who is suffering at the moment. I apply this liberally to any areas that are affected as often and required. You know when it is time to apply more as the soreness reappears. If you are buying a tube, it would last 24 months from opening, but using the bottles works out more cost effective, because, as long as you do not remove the air-free pump, and allow the air the reach the product, it will last indefinately. I have used my bottle for about six months now and I am about halfway down the bottle (I have 125ml size). I also use it on little burns when I catch myself getting something out of the oven, which is almost weekly (the burns, not getting something out of the oven! :o). This is really economical to use. Its works, and it is economical, and for those two reasons I highly recommend using this product. A little miracle in a bottle.
