“ Brand: Shiseido / Type: Cleansing Foam / Skin type: for dry skin and for all types / What it does: Cleanses / Product line: Shiseido The Skincare „
I have a lot of confidence of Shiseido products and basically all my basic skin care products are from Shiseido The Skincare line. And this Shiseido The Skincare extra gentle cleansing foam is one of them.
The products is contained in a white plastic tube. It contains 125ml of cleanser. The white plastic tube is packaged in a nice thick paper box.
Applying the product
The product is suitable for use every morning and evening. Applying it is easy, you just have to squeeze a small amount of cleanser into your palm and work into a rich lather using cool or lukewarm water. You then massage the cleanser over your face with gentle circular motions. Lastly, rinse off thoroughly.
It is very easy to create a rich lather from this product. All you need to do is rub a few times on your palm and then it's ready. It is very important that you work it into a lather first before massaging your face because it is the foam which helps to clean. Besides, don't rub the cleanser in your palm too many times or else it will be your hand not your face which is being cleaned!
The product claims to be a creamy rich-lathering cleanser that lifts away makeup and impurities while leaving skin smooth, balanced, and ready for further treatment. I don't feel my skin dry after using this cleansing foam.
In case if you haven't read another post of mine, I will just repeat a useful tip here. Once you find it hard to squeeze the product out from the plastic tube package, close the lid, hold it and the end and shake it for a few times. Open the lid again and you will find yourself able to squeeze something out again! Repeat this process until you get everything out!
Some people say that skin care products work best if you use all products from the same skin care line and I am also a believer in this saying. Therefore, I would say that if you are using other products from Shiseido then I would recommend you using this product as well. However, if you are only looking for a cleanser then there may be some cheaper products out there which cleans equally well (for your information, this shiseido cleanser costs £ 28.50 for a 125ml tube)
As I have mentioned in my review of Shiseido's 'The Skincare' Night Moisture Recharge product, my first experience with this range of skincare products was via a sample given to me after purchasing 'The Skincare' SPF Moisturiser. Prior to that, I had been using boutique spa-quality products that were targeted at acne-prone and oily skin. Though this cleanser is not targeted at any skin problems necessarily, I would discourage anyone from avoiding it for that reason - my skin quality, including my blemishes and oiliness, has vastly improved upon using this range from Shiseido. This cleansing foam is very gentle but really gets the dirt off your face without leaving it overly tight or dry. It smells great, leaving your face with a pleasant scent. Also, quite importantly, it lasts for literally ages - I'm still on my first bottle, and have been using it nightly since April (about 7 months ago)! 'The Skincare' is one of Shiseido's cheaper ranges, but as a premium brand it's always going to be slightly more expensive than Clean & Clear or other brands you can buy at Boots; however, I do think it's worth the extra cash - taking care of your skin shouldn't be one of those things you scrimp and save on, and I think this Shiseido product is worth the extra expense.
