Advantages: Cheap, widely-available, works fine for me
Disadvantages: None so far
I'd read a review in a magazine about a tube of anti-wrinkle gel that was available from Aldi at a good price, so I went to have a look. The gel I was after was out of stock, but I picked up two 50ml pots of cream for a bargain price of £2.89 each. One was a day cream, Siana's Skin Kind Moisturising Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream.
This comes in a box which is pale blue and white (not to be confused with the night cream, which is a darker blue) and it informs you that there's Bioflavone and Co-enzyme Q10 in the cream. These things mean nothing to me, but it was such a cheap price that I bought it anyway.
Inside the box, the cream is encased in a glass pot. When you unscrew the lid for the first time, there's a foil seal covering the cream, which is easy to remove.
The cream itself is quite thick and initially I put way too much on my face. Once I got the amount to use right, I found it much easier to rub into my face and it seemed to sink in quite quickly. Once it had sunk in, my face felt very moisturised and smooth and stayed that way for hours.
The smell of the cream is very similar to the (more expensive) creams that I've used in the past. There's no acidic or acrid smell; it's more of a fresh smell but it doesn't linger too long.
Whether it actually has anti-wrinkle properties or not, this is a cream I'd recommend. My Mum has bad reactions to some creams and lotions but has so far had no adverse reaction to this and she uses it every day. She seems to remember to use it more often than I do and has since been back to Aldi to get more, where it was on offer for £1, which is even more bargainous!
So yes, this gets a thumbs up from me and it's something that I'll be buying again once my pot has run out (which is probably a while off, as I don't remember to apply it about half the time!).
Summary: If you're not put off by cheap brands, try it
