Advantages: Gentle on skin, effective at removing tough makeup, non-greasy, reasonable price.

Disadvantages: None for me!

Simple is a skincare range which is enjoyed by many as it is free from fragrance range, and is very good for those with sensitive skin. My eyes are quite hard worked as I work on the computer all day, so I like to use as gentle a product on my eyes as possible.

I've in the past tried a few eye makeup removers, including the expensive Bi-Facil by Lancome, and a cream makeup remover by L'Oreal, but have usually gone back to using this Simple one.

The bottle is synonymous with the rest of the Simple range, and a see through bottle with a green lid, and clear writing on the front to indicate what the product is. It says it contains vitamin goodness (contains Pro-Vitamin B5, whatever that is!), is non-perfumed, non-coloured, and removes waterproof mascara (I don't wear waterproof, but I believe them if that's what they say!).

The bottle is not a complete round shape, and is slightly oval-shaped which makes it easy to hold. The green lid screws on and off - my only gripe as I like lids that pop on and off so you don't have to fiddle and hold the lid as well as the bottle. When you open the bottle, there is a small round hole from which the liquid is dispersed.

The liquid itself is very watery looking and clear coloured, and you simply apply some of it to a cotton ball or pad, and then wipe it across your eyes to rub off the make up. It doesn't get everything off in one go (what doe?!) but you only need a few wipes, for light eye make up, and maybe a few more firm ones for heavy makeup.

What I like about this is that there is no greasy residue left from wiping your eyes, as I find too much grease around my eyes quite irritating. I have found many other brands leave eyes quite greasy, which I understand help keep it moisturised and lift the dirt off, but personally I like to apply eye cream after cleaning my eyes, so I don't really want extra grease that I need to wipe off. I have found this really gentle on my eyes, and never do I get any irritation from it.

You can buy this for approx £2.99 for a 125ml bottle which is quite reasonable I think, but as usual, you can look out for 3 for 2 offers, but its quite cheap as it is. I also once bought 3 Simple skincare items for £5 in Tesco on offer which worked out really well.

I really find it good for taking my eye makeup off, so I don't really see the point in changing when it's cheap in price, and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. The only people I would imagine wouldn't like this is those who like that greasy effect that comes from other makeup removers.

Summary: A kind and simple eye makeup remover for sensitive skin.
