Advantages: Quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: None
I bought this on the weekend, I love using facemasks but I rarely have the time to wait the full 15 minutes that a lot of them require, this one only needs to be left for 3 minutes which made it sound ideal. I bought a sachet which contans 15ml from Tesco and it costs £1. I have seen this in a larger tube too which contains 75ml and costs around £4.
The mask is described as 'deep cleansing', it contains clay, seaweed extract, pro-vitamin B5 and vitamin E. It is said to draw out impurities from deep within the pores, remove dirt and cleanse and exfoliate while helping to protect your skin and keeping it in good condition. Like other Simple products the mask is not perfumed or coloured.
To use the mask you need to cleanse your skin first. I always use just water before I use a mask. You then apply to dry skin avoiding the eye area. Once the mask is applied you then leave for 3 minutes. One thing I did notice with this mask is I didn't need to use the full sachet, because of this I simply folded the top of the sachet down and stood upright on my bathroom window ready for use again later in the week. The mask can be used twice weekly, this is recommended for best results.
The mask itself didn't smell particularly nice, it smelt of clay. The mask was really creamy and easy to apply it spread really easily over my skin. The mask did tingle on application to the skin. This mask doesn't dry either, I prefer this as some masks that dry I find are too harsh on my skin. After 3 minutes had passed I rinsed the mask off as directed using warm water. The mask did take a little while to remove, I found it easy to use a flannel as using only my fingers seemed to spread the mask more and to cover my sink with a layer of white clay.
After the mask was rinsed off I finished with a splash of cool water and then dried my face. My skin felt really clean and looked really healthy. I could feel when the 'gunky' pores around my nose had been cleansed. I have dry skin and a few blocked pores on my nose normally a lot of masks leave my skin tight and uncomfortable, this one didn't. I have used this again and I am really pleased with the results, my skin felt conditioned and soft.
I would give this 5 out of 5.
Summary: A deep cleansing mask that only takes a few minutes.
