This is a pretty handy product to have on stand by to remove makeup at the end of the day or use in the summer when it's hot to refresh you.
This is an easy, resealable packet of wipes that can, if kept secure, last you a fair while.
25 Wipes within the product helps you to remove makeup for which I found this was much better at removing my LANCOME mascara than their actual eye makeup remover!.
I didn't have to force the mascara off it came away quite easily with this wet that although is wet it's not soaking wet.
The only gripe I have and its may not even be a fair gripe to have is that I did not feel this was great, it did not give me that clean, fresh or cleansed feeling, it felt pretty basic. But at the end of the day when you want to break the rules a little and quickly take off the remainder of your makeup to much only life it off slightly. When I cleansed my skin the next day I would say that was when I changed for a more tougher brand but still kept these handy for eye makeup removal.
I do have sensitive skin and I found that this was good, but it did aggravate the slight blemishes I had and irritated my skin. Personally, that's the reason I mainly didn't go back to these, but these might be good for those lucky to have good skin and want a product that uses less chemicals.
This was slightly pricey at £4.99 at the time and its probably best to shop around. Amazon currently do a good bulk buy deal.
I have always bought baby wipes over makeup wipes, they are cheaper, you get more in a pack and they do not irritate the eyes. A couple of months ago I was given two travel sized packs whilst at the train station. As I was doing quite a lot of travelling thought they would be perfect.
They were great, they took the makeup off really quickly and were less bulky than a pack of baby wipes. There was a small problem however, they irritated my eyes. Not to the point where they were red or overly sore after use, just a little uncomfortable. To me when wipes say they can remove waterproof mascara (granted they do), but they should not irritate the eye whilst doing it! What they did fantastically well was remove my hardcore face and brow makeup, so I decided to go out and buy some. I was shocked when I saw the price. £3.00+ for 25 wipes was excessive, I use two or three wipes a day, meaning a pack would be gone in about a week and a half!
I bought a couple of packs at half price, but even then I thought I was paying too much. They will not be my usual wipes and I will be buying them exclusively for travel. They do smell fantastic.
These can be bought from most Supermarkets, Boots and Superdrugs, but I would also advise to get them whilst on an offer as it makes them such better value.
These are good, but if they were a little cheaper I might buy them more!
Im not a big fan of facial wipes however I like to keep a pack in my handbag "just in case". Occasionally I do use them to take off make up but only when im drunk :P
Simple is a skincare range that I see as cheap but of good quality. They do quite a lot of products that are good for sensitive skin.
I think the reason I don't really use these much is that Im not a fan of the packaging that face or hand wipes come in. Its a standard plastic packaging with a "resealable" lid- I don't think they always work very well and the product dries out easily.
Now my main use for wipes is to wipe my hands, mainly in public places especially at work as the public toilet you have to pull the door handle to get out .I would like to think that everyone washes their hands but lets be realistic. I quite often use these to open the door.
Using these to take off make up does leave my skin feeling refreshed but I don't think that it moisturises that much and I think if I used them all the time my skin would feel dry.
**Would I recommend**
Not for taking off make up - It doesn't remove all traces of my mascara. I mainly use these as hand wipes and for that I think there are plenty of cheaper brands that work well enough.
Facial wipes are something that I buy for convenience, mainly for the evenings where I can't be bothered to remove my make-up properly (i.e. virtually every evening being inherently lazy when it comes to my evening skin-care regime). I don't have a particular loyalty to any one brand of wipes, tending to buy whatever is on special offer when I am close to running out. However, these Simple Facial Cleansing Wipes are one of the brands that I seem to buy most often.
* A bit about the wipes *
Facial cleansing wipes are basically just like baby wipes, but designed for a more grown-up market. The 'Simple Facial Cleansing Wipes' come in a pale green, square plastic pack, with a white plastic label which peels back to reveal the hole where you pull the wipes through. There is nothing particularly exciting or innovative about their packaging - it gives the impression of a fresh, clean product (purely because that particular shade of green invokes a spring-like, fresh image in my mind) - but there isn't really much more to say about it. The wipes themselves are a slightly textured white cloth, with a good amount of moisture. They are not quite as 'wet' as some other brands of wipes that I have tried, but there is sufficient moisture to clean / refresh your face without using more than one wipe. Like most Simple products, they are designed to do their job without causing any irritation to the skin - they are alcohol and oil-free and do not contain any artificial perfume, colour or harsh chemicals.
* Performance Analysis *
To me, wipes are just wipes... these are relatively good ones, but they don't do that much more than a baby wipe would, or anything particularly different from other brands. They do make my face feel cleaner and refreshed after use, although I would dispute their claim that they are also moisturising. There is, perhaps, a temporary moisture boost after using these but that is only because they are full of moisture - there is certainly no long-term moisturising effect as my skin tends to feel dry again within a few minutes of using these wipes. It is the convenience of the wipes which is the major positive point for me - they are perfect when you are busy (or lazy) for cleansing your face and getting on with your life. As a Mum, I also like the fact that they are suitable for sensitive skins - my four year old has had a bit of an obsession with wipes for a couple of years now (thankfully we are past the stage where there were baby wipes everywhere) - and, if she does use these, I feel confident that they are not going to damage her skin. The more sensitive nature of these wipes is also good for cleaning the area around the eyes, as they don't cause stinging or irritation.
There are a few claims on the packaging which are worthy of examination. Firstly, they claim to contain multi-vitamins - closer inspection of the packaging reveals that there are just two vitamins (Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E) in these wipes. OK, so two is 'technically' a multi-vitamin, but it is a slightly extravagant claim in my opinion. However, if you are following up with a decent moisturiser, as I do, then you don't really need vitamins in your wipes anyway, so it is not a big issue. The second claim that I have a bit of an issue with is that they claim to remove waterproof mascara. I am currently wearing Benefit's Bag Gal lash in its waterproof incarnation and these wipes are not particularly effective at removing it. They do remove 'some' mascara (I can see the black smudges clearly on the wipes) but they don't come close to removing all of it. However, I am yet to find a wipe that does a brilliant job of removing mascara, even the specialised eye make-up remover wipes don't tend to get it all off, so this isn't something that would stop me buying them.
* How much? *
A pack of 25 wipes costs £3.25 in Boots and they are also available in all the other places where you might expect to find them - Superdrug, supermarkets etc. They are often available on promotion (usually 3 for 2) and, at a promotional price, they represent reasonably good value for money. Price-wise, they are somewhere in the mid-market - the 'cosmetic' brands tend to have their own, more expensive versions, and the supermarkets have cheaper versions.
* Would I recommend them? *
I buy these wipes repeatedly, so I think I'd have to say that I would recommend them. I'm going with a four star rating as it does annoy me that they won't remove mascara properly, and that they claim to be 'moisturising' when they are not really. However, they are as good as any other brand of wipes I've tried, even the more expensive ones, and I would definitely buy them again in the future. They are also perfect for travelling - I always keep a pack of wipes in my bag on any longish trips, to freshen myself up (and, inevitably, to clean chocolate off the children's faces) - and these are perfect as something the whole family can use in that situation.
I wouldn't really be the biggest fan of facial wipes, as I find that they don't give my face the best clean and are full of chemicals compared to soap and water, so usually I try to avoid them. However, when I am in a hurry they can be a bit of a life saver and they are also handy to travel with instead of carting a lot of heavy cleansers and cleaners with me.
Using the Wipes
These wipes are quite easy to use, you just take one and swipe it across your skin to get rid of any make up, dirt or impurities.
What I Thought
These wipes do not have a very perfumed scent to them, in fact they are free from perfume and other harsh chemicals. I have very sensitive skin and usually get very irritated eyes when I use facial wipes, however these ones do not cause me any problems and also don't dry out my skin.
As far as cleaning my skin, these are really efficient, I don't have to wipe vigorously to remove my make up. They are really quick and easy to use and can remove even my waterproof mascara.
My skin usually feels quite nice after using these and I haven't had any problems with blemishes or rashes after using them.
Price and Availability
You can buy these wipes in most supermarkets and chemists, I usually get mine from Tesco or Boots for around £3.25, this gives you 25 wipes or just shy of a months usage. A packet lasts me ages because I only use them on occasion, and they never dry out because the packaging is quite good and they are easy to seal.
I wouldn't say that I am converted to using wipes exclusively, however when I am travelling or in a hurry, these are my go to product. They are quite pure, compared to other ones I have tried, cause me no irritation and also they have vitamin B5 for soft and healthy looking skin. Overall I would give these wipes 4 out of 5 stars.

Isn't it amazing how some products are packaged up to look like something outstanding and are priced at a gasp-producing level yet fail to please yet something which looks fairly plain and simple and is well within budget can be so pleasing to use? I cannot believe the huge variation in price between some beauty products and how the huge price difference doesn't actually reflect in quality.
I bought the Simple Cleansing Wipes a few years ago because they were cheap and I was trying to save money. There is nothing that really makes this packet stand out on the shelf and that is what the Simple range goes for- simplicity! The packet is pale green and white so looks very natural.
It is easy to open, it opens like baby wipes with a little slip at the top which peels off and then can be stuck back down to keep the wipes moist after use. It is important that you do put the peel strip back down as if you don't then the wipes do dry out, not all of them but about the first two in the packet.
When you pull a wipe out it automatically starts to pull the next one out which makes it easy to get them out especially if you have wet or oily hands. These can then just be tucked back in after use.
The wipe is very thin and soft so it is very gentle against the skin. I have very sensitive skin and often find products which are treated have a bad effect on my skin and cause rashes but when I use these I have no adverse reactions so they are very gentle to the skin as well as just to touch.
They are not very moist just damp enough to run over your face easily and not leave a wet patch behind. It isn't as damp as the baby wipes we use but this doesn't mean that it won't take the make up away beneath it.
When I wipe these over my make up I find that the majority of it comes off with ease and I just need to apply a bit more pressure on certain areas such as my cheeks where there may be several layers of make up- bronzer, highlighter and foundation so sometimes a bit more pressure is needed to get it off but it never hurts or irritates.
If I have a full face of make up I find that I need to use one wipe to get the majority off and then another one to just ensure I have taken everything off. With general every day make up just one wipe is plentiful.
I find that it's really effective to remove make up and to cleanse skin. After I have used this my skin does feel softer and smoother. People often say to me that you shouldn't use facial wipes as it just moves bacteria around the face but I find if I don't use these then the condition of my face is actually worse so I don't think that it has that effect upon me.
I really rate these wipes, I have used other brands which are much more expensive and I still do sometimes buy them when they are on offer but I do usually stick to these now as I find that they do the job just fine and make my skin feel soft to touch. As far as I'm concerned they're perfect!
~ Why I Bought It ~
To be honest I bought these wipes for when I'm tired and can't be bothered to follow my usual skin care routine of cleansing, toning, moisturising and using make-up remover - I just wanted something that would leave my face clean and feeling fresh and these wipes seemed ideal, and they were on offer too at time!
~ Price ~
A pack of 25 of these wipes usually retails between £3 to £4 depending on where you buy them from. I bought mine as part of a buy two get one free deal and as this was the cheapest product I got it for free. Although these are good wipes I personally wouldn't have paid the full price when there are cheaper brands of cleansing wipes available for less than half the price of these.
~ My Opinion ~
I decided to buy these mainly because of an offer that was on at the time but also because I was in need of some cleansing wipes. These wipes appealed to me because of the branding - the front of the packet says vitamin goodness which I thought sounded good and I also thought that it sounded good that the wipes tone the skin as well as cleanse it. I would not have bought the wipes had they not been on offer as although they sounded really good I think that the retail price is quite expensive.
The wipes come in quite a nicely designed little square shaped packet which is green. The ingredients etc are listed on the back and the packet has a white sticker on the front of it with all of the information about the wipes written on it. The sticker peels back to reveal an opening and to get the wipes out you just pull them out.
The wipes tend to come out two at a time which I find a bit annoying as I usually only need one unless I am wearing a lot of make-up. The wipes are white, thick and smooth and soft to the touch. Each wipe is damp but not soaking wet which I really like. I hate wipes which are so wet that they drip and ooze everywhere, leaving residue but these have just the right amount of wetness.
I use the wipes whenever I can't bothered to use my proper cleanser and toner and I also use them as an alternative to using proper makeup remover. I will first wipe my face with the wipe which we've sit feeling fresh and clean, and if I'm wearing concealer it will easily remove it. I don't wear foundation very often and have never used these wipes to remove foundation but I'd imagine they would remove foundation just as easily as they remove concealer.
After I've removed my concealer I will then remove my eye make up. This requires a bit more patience, especially with waterproof eyeliner or mascara but it doesn't take too long for me to remove it all - longer than it would with proper make-up remover but not soloing that it is time consuming. Once I've Redford all of my maker I will then use a fresh wipe to wipe my face clean and remove any remaining residue from my makeup.
The wipes pick up even the tiniest amounts of makeup and dirt etc and leave my face feeling clean, fresh and quite smooth and my face does feel cleaner after using the wipes. The wipes don't irritate my skin or leave it looking greasy or shiny like some face wipes can do and they don't irritate it either. I have been using these wipes for about a month now (usually 2-3 times a week) and I've not had suffered any redness or break-outs. They're not drying either and my skin never feels dried out after using them, or does it ever feel particularly moisturised. The wipes simply cleanse my skin and leave me feeling clean and fresh.
~ All in All ~
I will buy another pack of these wipes again if I spot them on offer as they're good at removing makeup, are gentle and leave my face feeling fresh and clean.
I regularly use facial cleansing wipes to remove my make up at the end of a day. I'm not particularly loyal to one brand, but tend to opt for whatever is on offer at the time. One of my most recent purchases has been the Simple facial wipes which I managed to get for £2.25 a pack at Savers, reduced slightly, I think. I bought two packs at the time as they were such a good price. Each pack contained 25 nice moist wipes when full.
The pack is the same as any other standard pack of facial wipes. The packaging is plastic with a resealable tab at the top, which lifts up to release the moist wipes. Each wipe is white and square in shape and measures about 20cm both ways.
Obviously, as these are Simple wipes, they have no detectable aroma at all. They are nice and moist and remove all traces of make up from my face, including waterproof eye make up and mascara. I use about two, possibly three wipes to remove all make up, including make up around my eyes and then I'm left with a fresh clean feeling and no stickiness on the skin. They also don't make my eyes feel gluey after I've removed mascara.
They are not only perfume free, but they are colour free and are also perfect for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers. I don't have a particularly sensitive skin, but I can vouch for the fact that they cause me no irritation at all.
The wipes are strong yet gentle and don't shred. I take these to work with me sometimes too and I also find they are good just for freshening the hands on hot days. I always put mine in the bin after using but I do believe these can actually be flushed down the loo if you want, though I've never done this.
They are just a great wipe which I can honestly say don't have any negative aspects to them at all. They do a great job, they are relatively cheap, nice and strong and yet gentle and great at removing all traces of make up.
Admittedly I've not always been so strict on what products I use when it comes to skincare, as what I have been in the past six months or so. Usually I would have just gone for whatever might do the job I required or whatever sounded good at the time. I've always used makeup wipes, however I never realised that choosing the right ones could make a difference to my daily routine. Like with all my other skin care products, I'd just use whatever wipes I happened to pick up. Once I'd started buying products for dry and sensitive skin, I felt like my ordinary makeup wipes were just a little too harsh to use for removing my
makeup everyday. Knowing that Simple was a good brand for sensitive skin, I picked up a pack of their cleansing wipes instead.
Simple's cleansing wipes come in a pack of 25 for around ￡3. Not the cheapest cleansing wipes you'll find on the shelves, however, there aren't many cleansing wipes that are made for sensitive skin and are moist enough to adequately do the job. These wipes come in the usual white rectangle shaped sheets, and easily remove makeup without much effort, or feeling like it is scrubbing at, or pulling the skin. I often find that one wipe is enough to wipe away the makeup on my face, ready for cleansing with my Simple Moisturising face wash. The wipes don't completely remove all makeup, as to be expected, but it removes almost all of the makeup that can be seen, and any bits missed or not picked up can then be easily washed away with one face wash application.
I like using these wipes, along with the Simple face wash, as neither are harsh on the skin, so just leave your skin looking and feeling clean without the price of irritating my skin. So I can actually feel comfortable with using these on a daily basis and not have to worry about my skin become dry and more red than usual. Plus since I've been using products that are 'softer' on the skin, my skin is in a lot better condition than it was just a few months ago. Thank you Simple!
I must admit that in the past I've never really had a strict 'feminine' regime where I moisturise and use facial wipes and the such regularly. Not only am I too busy to fully commit to anything like that long term, frankly I'm also too lazy and tend to get bored after a week. However, a couple of weeks ago when I was last in my local supermarket, which happens to be a Morrisons, I decided I would try them out again having used them before for a holiday and then given up when I returned home.
They claim to help remove mascara (even the waterproof kind), to refresh and tone your skin and to not agitate it regardless of sensitivity. I do happen to have quite sensitive skin and I have noticed it is very gentle and nourishes rather than dries out my skin (which is something that tends to happen with the other products I've tested out - maybe I've just been unlucky). As I mentioned I used them when I was last on holiday and they were very effective in giving back some moisture to my skin which dried out from temperatures of up to 36 degrees. I don't get any stinging or redness that I've gotten before, but I must admit I haven't noticed my face feel any smoother, just a little less heavy.
Simple Facial Cleansing Wipes offer:
No alcohol or oil
To not dry out or make greasy
No perfumes or colouring
No "unnecessary ingredients" which may upset your skin"
and that it is dermatologically tested and Approved
The product has lived up to all of these promises and is definitely a nice and fresh product which doesn't feel too heavy/greasey. They aren't perfumed but they do give off a lovely light smell and feel very cool when applied to the face (which is great for the summer months/trips and visits away). This is a nice feature as sometimes wipes can be a little too pungent or the opposite and far too plane when they don't have a standard 'perfume smell'.
I don't wear makeup often but in the few times that I have since trying this product out at the beginning of summer I have realised its not exactly effective at removing it. Rather than come off easily it takes a bit of work and leaves my face a little red from rubbing and so I prefer not to use these wipes and have instead had to buy a separate pack of makeup removals which is a little disappointing. However due to the price of the wipes I wasn't overly outraged when they weren't all encompassing but still thought it worthy of mention.
Overall this is a product I would recommend if you do tend to use wipes regularly and with 25 wipes to a packet they are quite reasonable at £2-4 in various stores. I don't think I'd be too happy at the higher end of that but for £2.99 I think that is quite reasonable and that tends to be the price I pick them up at. They are nourishing and leave my face feeling fresh, but don't moisture it which again is perhaps a little disappointing. They're also not super effective at makeup removal like I said so for these reasons and the fact I don't use them regularly enough I'd give them a 4/5 at most.
Simple face wipes - 25 pack
Currently between £2 - £4
Simple says - 'Our Cleansing Facial Wipes are a perfect blend of cleansing and vitamin goodness to refresh and tone your skin.'
The product contains no alcohol, no perfume, no oil, and are supposed to be non drying. When I have used them I have had no issues with my sensitive skin.
I feel that they don't replace a good proper face wash - however they do have a time and place. They are wonderful on hot days when you need something cool to refresh you, and after a night out they work wonders.
According to the packaging they should remove waterproof mascara; this is where they come undone to an extent. As with all face wipe they will remove mascara - eventually. It requires a lot of eye rubbing, and periods of leaving them on the eye to 'soak' or 'soften' the mascara. This is made harder with waterproof mascara - for obvious reasons.
Personally I feel that the wipes are wonderful to refresh and remove most make up I wouldn't recommend them for mascara removal (especially waterproof). The wiping motion to me always ends up hurting my eyes, and although they do leave the rest of your face feeling refreshed, and your skin soft for mascara removal I would recommend an eye make-up remover it does the job so much quicker, and for me with less pain.
I got these in my stocking for Christmas and use them mostly to take my makeup off at the end of the day and because they are a smallish pack they are easy to pack when travelling.
They come in a plastic green pack with a resealable strip on top, this keeps the wipes moist and clean, they are not overly moist either which is good. The wipes are a good size and give you plenty of room to wipe away all makeup. Because they are Simple, they are unfragranced, they do have a slight smell but it's just a clean fresh smell and they don't leave any weird or smelly residue on your face.
Because I have oily skin I still need to clean my face with my usual facewash afterwards to rid myself of all the days dirt properly so I wouldn't recommend these as an alternative to facewash especially for oily skinned people. The wipes remove all traces of my eye make up though (even lots of eyeliner and the toughest mascara!) and aren't rough at all like shops own baby wipes which I often use and need an extra bit of rubbing which irritates my eyes.
These are particularly great when coming in from a night out and you're too lazy (or too drunk...) to wash your face properly and can quickly remove and clean your face before falling asleep, always handy to keep a pack on your bedside table!
They are fairly cheap as well, not as cheap as stores own, but they are much better quality so you really get what you pay for, I'd definitely recommend them.
--What you get--
A pack of freshly scented facial skin cleansing wipes by a top skincare company at a low cost.
--Value for money--
Excellent value for a truly fantastic product. One of my favourite skin care products, incredibly easy to use and so convenient. The pack lasts ages too.
I bought this from the Simple product selection from my local Boots but they're widely available from supermarkets and Superdrug too, so if you are looking for a bargain, shop around as there are often deals on skincare products.
--How to use--
Use to cleanse skin instead of soap and water, to cool down, after a bath or shower or for an extra cleanse or to remove make up. Ideal for overnight stays or camping trips too!
--My personal opinion--
I use these all the time for a quick fix wipe and go cleanse or to remove make up. I am surprised how effectively they remove make up compared to many products on the market, as I have been very disappointed with so called make up removers in their efficacy at removing stubborn mascara! With these, you only need to wipe across your lashes once or twice for any make up to be removed. This means that the whole experience is very delicate on your skin and removing make up is no longer abrasive and harsh to the skin!
I am a fan of Simple products in general as they are neutrally scented with no more additional fragrance than necessary. They are also ridiculously sensitive and a pleasure to use for any skin type, especially recommended for those of you with dry or sensitive skin.
The pack has lasted me quite a while, as I don't use them every single day, I find them very good value for money too.
These are brilliant to freshen up at any time of day, and as the pack is small enough to fit in your handbag, they're great for an overnight stay or even to wash your face when camping.
After using one of these, my skin feels fresher and any make up is completely removed, leaving me with a "clean slate" for the next day. Even when I get home after a night out, it is simply a case of a quick wipe, no hardcore scrubbing needed. Or if I am running late for work, this is a lovely way to freshen up very quickly and wake me up with it's gentle scent and moisture.
The post-cleanse effect is clean-looking, fresh-feeling skin and a healthy moisturised glow.
Highly recommended, and at an affordable price, these are hard to beat for facial wipes which thoroughly remove make up!
I am certainly not brand loyal when it comes to face cleansing wipes and I usually just pick up what ever is on offer as long as it looks to be of decent quality and isn't too harsh as I have such sensitive skin. Simple is a skincare brand that I had heard of before due to their wide range of products, so when I saw that the packs of their cleansing wipes were reduced considerably in my local Superdrug I stocked up on a couple of packs.
Simple describe these cleansing wipes as a quick and effective way to cleanse, and state that the wipes have 'vitamin goodness' and are 'tough enough to remove waterproof mascara yet gentle enough for sensitive skin.' (taken via their website). The wipes apparently have 'the perfect blend of ingredients' and help to refresh & tone the skin. I have very sensetive skin which is quite dry at the minute; my t-zone especially. I had a good read of the packet before making my purchase and couldn't see anything to lead me to believe that the wipes would be drying - in fact they clearly state that the wipes aren't drying on their website.
I paid around £2 for each pack of 25 that I purchased from Superdrug - I bought 4 packs as £2 is a total bargain considering that the RRP is over a pound more at £3.01. There was also a variety of other types of Simple face wipes including exfoliating, age-resisting and so on. The wipes come in a square shaped, thin plastic packet which has a green and white colour scheme along with the Simple logo and product name on the front of it. To open the packet you simply need to peel off the thin, sticky plastic film and then pluck a wipe or two out before sealing it back up wih the plastic film to keep the wipes fresh and moist.
The wipes are white and feel like thin, soft cotton. They don't have that 'soggy toilet roll' type of feel to them like a lot of brands of makeup wipes do, and instead feel very good quality and lovely and soft. The texture is smooth and not at all harsh. The wipes are easy to unfold and I use mine to remove makeup first, and then use another to wipe my face and neck.
I wear heavy makeup; black eyeliner, black mascara and occasionally dark eyeshadow, and it usually takes 3-4 of these wipes to get every last bit of makeup off, which isn't too bad. I use these everyday to remove makeup as they're so effective and it's very a important part of my skincare regime to remove makeup and cleanse before I go to bed, and with these even when I am shattered it doesn't take much time or energy so handy when I come in from a night out and just want to cleanse quickly then go straight to bed. The smell is pleasant. It's gentle and doesn't linger. Disposing of the wipes is easy, I simply flush them down the toilet or alternatively just stick them in the bin.
The wipes are moist but not moist enough to drip, they hold the moisture well and although they leave my face feeling cool and refreshed, they don't leave me with a horrible wet feeling and my skin simply feels very smooth after using a wipe rather than dripping wet! I have been using these wipes for a couple of weeks now and have not experienced any redness, itching or discomfort and they cleanse my skin effectively. They're affordable, even at the RRP and are of good quality. Reccomended.
When it comes to taking off make up in the evening I'm a fan of face wipes because they're so convenient and mess-free. I've tried several brands and find some can be a little harsher on skin than others, whilst some won't shift mascara without you rubbing off your eyelashes. Simple cleansing wipes are both gentle and effective, and ones I would highly recommend if you want to remove make up or just cleanse.
Simple is a reputable brand with expertise in the skincare arena, popular for products that are 'kind to skin'. I've used a few different products in their expanding range and have more often than not been very pleased with the results, so I was confident that their facial wipes would be good quality. These ones have been upgrading somewhat to now claim they are a 'perfect blend of cleansing and vitamin goodness to refresh and tone your skin'. I tend to opt for products that I think will do something a little extra for my skin, so this really appealed to me.
These are suitable for sensitive skin too, because Simple is a brand that always aims for gentle products that are dermatologically tested and approved. They contain no oil or alcohol so they neither dry out skin nor leave it greasy. They are also colour and perfume free, keeping the ingredients simple and healthy without adding anything harsh or not needed. The 'vitamin goodness' refers to the pro-vitamin B5, which is designed to 'restore, soften and smooth' skin.
These come in a green design plastic package, with re-sealable opening at the top. Once you have a wipe out, you can unfold it and wipe over your face, eyes, neck etc to cleanse and/or remove make up. Reseal the packet after use so it doesn't dry out, and throw the used wipe in the bin. It should be noted that these aren't flushable, so avoid making the mistake of putting it down the loo!
I find these are gentle to my skin, with no irritation or issues for me to complain about. Whilst they're kind to skin, however, they are strong on make-up, being quite effective at removing it quickly and easily. They leave my skin feeling clean and cleansed well, without leaving it too dry. I find a lot of cleansers can dry out my skin, and whilst I still tend to moisturise afterwards, it's not vitally necessary. I don't use waterproof mascara so I can't comment on their effectiveness on that, but as far as regular make-up goes (bearing in mind I prefer the natural look) the wipes do work very well. When I do smokey eyes, a few wipes around the eye area do the trick, and the wipes are a good size that you can get off everything with just the one.
The only downside is very small, and that's an issue I have with a lot of facial wipes because they come in packets that are re-sealable. Whilst this make them very convenient, if you don't use them often and leave them out for a long time they will dry out. These do re-seal quite well, however, and don't dry out if used within a month or two, so I can't really complain about that. I tend to use 1 a day, though you could use them morning and evening for general face cleansing and not just make-up removal. If, like me, you use 1 a day then a pack will last 25 days as you get 25 wipes per pack.
Considering I have found these on offer before, including I think in Poundland, I would say these are good value for money because they're gentle yet still very effective and for that I would definitely recommend giving these a go.
Selling for £3.20 in Boots, but can be found cheaper elsewhere for around £2.
