Simple Foaming Facial Wash
Date: 11/09/12, updated on 11/09/12 (63 review reads)
Advantages: It's gentle, cleanses the skin well and leaves it feeling soft
Disadvantages: Doesn't remove all of my eye makeup
I have skin that is fairly sensitive and that is prone to spots. I also wear a lot of make up and an oily complexion so a good facial wash is important but it is equally important for me to have a facial wash that is gentle and that won't cause spots. I always find that Simple is a good brand that works well on my skin because it is free from artificial fragrances and colouring, and they don't contain any unnecessary ingredients that might upset my skin. For these reasons I bought the Kind To Skin Moisturising Foaming Facial Wash
What does the product do?
The product promises to gently cleanse the skin while nourishing it with Vitamin E and Pro Vitamin B5. It also claims that it will hydrate the skin leaving it feeling soft and looking healthy. It is suitable for use on all skin types, including sensitive skin and it promises to leave the skin soothed and calm.
Packaging and Price
The product is contained within a white plastic tube which has a bit of information about the product and its name in green writing. It has a cloudy pale green lid on which it can stand so it looks neat and tidy in my bathroom. The product will cost you around £4 and it can be bought from stores such as Boots and Superdrug, large supermarkets and also from a variety of online websites.
How do you use the product?
The product is to be applied to a damp face. You dispense a small amount of the product on your hands, rub then together and then massage the product over the whole face. It is gentle enough to use on the eye area too (as long as your eyes are closed!) and then you rinse the product away. You can then follow it up with a good moisturiser and your usual make up routine.
The product has the consistency of a gel and it is largely clear, although a little cloudy. It doesn't really have much of a smell and the smell that it does have, doesn't really smell of anything in particular. It feels pleasant on the skin and it didn't cause any discomfort of my fairly sensitive skin. It doesn't really foam and produce a lather, it just bubbles a bit but it still feels like its doing a good job. As long as I rinse the product away thoroughly, then I don't experience any feelings of tightness or dryness on my skin.
The facial wash does leave my skin feeling soft and hydrated. It doesn't cause any redness and it hasn't caused any blemishes to form and it seems to be prevented new ones from forming. It cleanses my face well and leaves me feeling nice and fresh after use. My face is shine free immediately after use so it must be cleansed the excess oils from my greasy skin. It removes the majority of my make up which can be noticed when drying my face with a white towel as the towel remains white. It doesn't completely deal with all of my eye make up but then I do wear quite a lot of eye make up so it's quite a big job!
All in all, this is a cheap yet gentle and effective facial cleanser. It leaves me feeling fresh and clean, and it removes the majority of my make up. My skin has remained clear since I started using it an d it looks healthier and in a better condition. I will continue to use this facial wash and I would gladly repurchase when it is all gone. You can't go far wrong with this product.
Summary: A gentle and effective facial wash which leaves you feeling fresh and clean
